Abstract

The development of technology is currently one of the demands for teachers and prospective teachers to be able to create learning media that appeals to students so that students have an interest in learning. The use of the web-based learning media integrated with evaluation can be one of the solutions in chemistry learning. The purpose of this research is to know the validity and response of students about learning media developed. The development model used in this research is the ADDIE model. The validation of the development product is done by the validator of media experts and chemical material experts, while the trial is conducted by 29 students of class XI IPA 2. The analysis results of the validator state that the quality of the learning media belongs to a very good category with a percentage of 92.78% of the media expert and 83.34% of the material experts. Students ' learning interest percentage of 72.12% is in good category. Learning Media developed in the form of websites integrated with the evaluation of CBT (computer bassed test). Abstract

Student learning outcomes are still low. Students have an average score below KKM. KKM is determined by each school. KKM in SMAN 9 Semarang is 70. The low value of KKM is caused by students not yet mastering the prerequisite material acid-base. Based on these data student?s misconception need to be analyzed. This study aims to analyze the misconception of buffer material on students. The type of  this research is mixed method. The research design used was a sequential explanatory. The research procedure is following the mixed method syntax. The sample in this study were 128 students from SMAN 9 Semarang. Quantitative data were collected using 10 three-tier multiple choice test questions that used the student?s reasons and level of confidence. The validation results of the test questions are valid and reliable. Qualitative data was collected by interviewing students. The results showed that students have scientific knowledge 16%, type 1 misconception 19%, type 2 misconception 22%, type 3 misconception 37%, lucky 1%, lack of knowledge type 1 1% concept, lack of knowledge type 2 1% concept, and lack of knowledge type 3 3%.

Abstract

The 21st Century demands that every human being be able to solve the problems faced by thinking creatively and critically and be able to use information and communication technology wisely. The business world and industry needs workers who have the ability of the 21st century so that market needs can be met. Vocational Schools are educational institutions that are expected to produce graduates who are ready to work and can compete in the business world and the industry. Supposedly, the implementation of learning in SMK is oriented to the reality of future work needs. This study uses descriptive qualitative methods and aims to analyze the findings related to the level of critical thinking skills of vocational students, especially automotive engineering expertise programs, the factors that influence, and the steps that can be taken to improve students' critical thinking skills. The results showed that as much as 58.34% had a level of critical thinking skills that were lacking, even 5.56% of them were classified as very less. Some previous research states that the factors that influence critical thinking skills of vocational students are classified as low, namely student input, quality of learning, and support in learning. Actions that can be taken to improve students' critical thinking skills include improving teaching methods or models, familiarizing students with questions that demand critical thinking, and using teaching materials that support critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Understanding the concept is a very important factor to achieve maximum learning goals. In the learning process required a learning method that is applied by a teacher so that students easily understand the concept. This study aims to determine the understanding of the concept of class X students on redox material and compound nomenclature after the application of the Blended-Problem Based Learning method. This type of research is a case study that uses a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods involving 36 high school class ten students from the 2018-2019 academic year. The sampling technique is done by purposive sampling. Understanding students' concepts using reasoned questions, that are three layers of multiple choice tests. The results of the analysis of students' understanding of concepts on redox material and compound nomenclature after the application of the Blended-Problem Based Learning method showed that of 27 of 36 students (75%) understood the concept of redox and compound nomenclature, 8 out of 36 students (22%) misconceptions, and 1 of 50 students (0.3%) did not understand the concept of redox and compound nomenclature. Application of the Blended-Problem Based Learning model can help students to understand the redox reaction material and compound nomenclature.

Abstract

This study has purpose to determine the difference of the improvement of concept understanding in the problem based learning model assisted with flash multimedia with direct instruction model. The research method used in this study was quantitative of research using pretest-posttest design. This study was conducted at an Elementary School in Brebes Regency in science learning of single and mixed substances in grade V. The sample in this study were 38 students taken for experimental class and 32 students for control class. The data collection techniques used were observation and test. The data analysis techniques used to gain the significant difference was t-test. The results of this study indicated that the ability of concepts understanding of students in the problem based learning model assisted with flash multimedia is better than that of the direct instruction learning model. The independent sample t-test with a significance of 0.015 < 0.05. The average value obtained by the experimental class with a score of 79.95 and the average value of the control class with a score of 75. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of problem based learning model assisted with flash multimedia can improve the ability of concepts understanding of students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze e-learning activities at SDIT Future Islamic School (FIS) Pekanbaru. The subject and sample of the research used science teacher class VI and students of SDIT FIS Pekanbaru class VI A and B totaling 30 people. The study is a qualitative research with descriptive approach. The technique used in this study is observation and interviews, while the research instrument used field notes in the form of observations of e-learning activities and free-tied interview sheets. The data of e-learning activities provide from observations were student activities, such as writing, speaking, listening, observing, motoric skills, and mental activities such as activity that requires knowledge construction asking students to interpret, analyze, synthesize, or evaluate information or ideas when answering practice questions. Student activities are series of implementation of e-learning that technology in education. The results of interviews and observations show that the implementation of e-learning model were two modes. They were by using blended models and asynchronous methods in the application of mixing conventional learning (meeting in class) by utilizing technology to display subject matter offline. The implementation of e-learning in this school utilizes computer technology, LCDs, and speakers as a tool to deliver teaching materials to students. The e-learning implementation carried out in the learning process, included use of technology to display learning material, learning information, and also the students work results. The hardware such as laptop, LCD, and loudspeakers used by teachers and students to display information related to decay and weathering topics in the form of videos and pictures on natural science subjects. E-learning activities provide benefits to students and teachers in understanding the concept of subject matter that is packaged by the teacher in an exciting and informative manner.

Abstract

This research aims to produce a valid and effective learning device for chemo-entrepreneurship-based projects that are valid and positive student responses. This research includes development research adopted from Thiagarajan, a modified 4D model. The 4-D model consists of four stages of development, namely Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. Disseminate stage is not done because the Develop phase has produced a valid learning device. The validity assessment of learning devices was carried out by four experts. Instrument for assessing learning devices are syllabus components, lesson plan, teaching materials, project work sheets. The effectiveness of learning devices is seen from improving student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the analysis obtained a validity value of 3,59 (88,5%) with a very good category. Entrepreneurial interest in the extensive trial shows that the results of the paired sample t-test obtained a tcount= 19,981 and t table = 2,03. Tcount> t table which means there is a significant increase in student interest. Based on the results of the assessment, the learning devices of the chemo-entrepreneurship-based green chemistry-based clean project can be said to be valid and effective for learning.
