Abstract

Objective: To identify therelationship between the length os surgery and teh incidence of post operative nausea and vomiting and shivering in post operativepatiens with general anesthesia. Methods: This article is uses quantitative methods, cross-sectional research design. The research population was post-operative patients with general anesthesia in the recovery room at Karsa Husada Batu Hospital. The research sample size was 67 respondents, using the G*Power application. Correlation Statistical tests use Spearman Rank Correlation Results: The statistical test results show that there is a relationship between the length of operation and the incidence of PONV with a p value (0.001 < 0.05) and there is a relationship between the length of operation and the incidence of shivering with a p value (0.001 < 0.05). Conclusion: The relationship between the length of the operation and the incidence of post-operative nausea, vomiting and shivering shows a significant relationship because the duration of the operation also influences the amount of anesthetic drug given to the patient, as well as increasing the duration of the patient's exposure to the cold temperature of the operating room

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of website-based health education on reducing anxiety levels in pre-treatment patients with CDL. Methods: This research is a quasy experimental type with a two-group pre-test-post test design. The sample consisted of 36 respondents who were selected using pur-posive sampling. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test and the Mann-Whitney test. Before being given the website-based intervention, most respondents expe-rienced moderate levels of anxiety. Results: After the intervention, most respondents experienced mild levels of anxiety. Wilcoxon test analysis showed p-value = 0.000 and Mann-Whitney test analysis for anxiety levels after intervention showed p-value = 0.023. Conclusion: The conclusion is there is an influence of website-based health education on reducing patient anx-iety levels before CDL installation.

Abstract

Objective: To discover the relationship between blood pressure and nausea vomiting after abdominal surgery with general anesthesia in the recovery room at Lavalette Hospital, Malang. Methods: The research design used a non-experimental quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional correlation approach. The sampling used purposive sampling with non-random sampling technique, totaling 33 respondents. Results: The research results showed that the average systolic blood pressure of respondents was 110, the average diastolic blood pressure of respondents was 81, and the majority of respondents experienced moderate nausea and vomiting. The results of the Spearman rank correlation test showed a p-value of 0.001 for the systolic blood pressure variable and a p-value of 0.002 for the diastolic blood pressure variable for postoperative nausea and vomiting. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between blood pressure and nausea vomiting after abdominal surgery with general anesthesia in the recovery room at Lavalette Hospital, Malang. It is hoped that the hospital, especially nurses, will pay attention in nursing care to the importance of dealing with post-operative nausea and vomiting

Abstract

Objective:: Preoperative patients experience a lot of anxiety due to various factors that arise. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy and slow deep breathing on reducing the anxiety level of pre-operative patients at Dr. Soedono Hospital, East Java province. Methods: The research design is Quasi experimental. The total research sample was 30 preoperative CA mammary patients. The interventions provided are Progressive Muscle Relaxation and Slow Deep Breathing. Anxiety levels were measured using a questionnaire. The analysis used is the bivariate Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. Results:The results of the study showed that the level of anxiety before CA mammary surgery patients were given progressive muscle relaxation was 9(60%) seriously anxious and before the patients were given slow deep breathing 8(53.3%) were seriously anxious. After the intervention, 2 (13.3%) patients had the criteria for Severe Anxiety and in the slow deep breathing relaxation technique group 6 (40%) had the criteria for Severe Anxiety. Conclusion: There was an effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy on reducing the anxiety level of preoperative CA Mamae patients with a p value. 0.001. After CA Mamae's pre-operative patient at Dr. RSUD. Soedono was given progressive muscle relaxation so his anxiety level was reduced because physical tension was reduced through muscle relaxation and induced a feeling of calm. Based on the research results, progressive muscle relaxation is recommended to reduce anxiety in preoperative CA mammary patients.

Abstract

Objective: To determine the effect of a combination of peppermint aromatherapy and early passive mobilization on nausea vomiting post general anesthesia. Methods: The research design was Quasi Experimental pre test and post test control group. The total research sample was 36 respondents. The intervention provided was a combination of peppermint aromatherapy and passive early mobilization. Nausea and vomiting were measured using the RINVR instrument. Analysis used the bivariate paired t test. Results: The results of the study on nausea and vomiting after general anesthesia before the intervention were 13 (72%) respondents experiencing severe nausea and vomiting and after the intervention it decreased to 7 (%) respondents with moderate nausea and vomiting. In this study, a paired t-test was used with a p value of 0.008, which showed a decrease in the level of nausea and vomiting in post general anesthesia patients after being given the intervention. Conclusion: The conclusion is that there is an effect of a combination of peppermint aromatherapy and passive early mobilization on Nausea Vomiting Post General Anesthesia at RSUD dr. Soedono Madiun. It is hoped that health workers will provide interventions using a combination of peppermint aromatherapy and passive early mobilization to reduce nausea and vomiting in post general anesthesia patients.
