Abstract

Entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as a crucial factor in economic production, offering solutions in the context of high unemployment rates and limited job opportunities. Developing an entrepreneurial mindset, particularly from an early age, is imperative. This study explores the gradual and strategic nurturing of entrepreneurial spirit, acknowledging that it is a process that unfolds over time, rather than an immediate outcome. In Palembang City, a range of kindergartens serve as fertile grounds for this developmental endeavor. This research focuses on 'Market Day' activities, employed as both a strategy and a pedagogical tool, to stimulate entrepreneurial potentials in early childhood. The effectiveness and impact of these activities on fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among young learners are examined, providing insights into early entrepreneurial education methodologies

Abstract

The environmental issues that usually arise from mining activities are ex-coal mining lands in the form of mine pits (void) and land (non void) which are not managed properly. The company has an obligation to manage ex-coal mining land so that the environment remains sustainable and benefits the community by carrying out reclamation activities. Reclamation of ex-coal mining land by planting oil palm provides benefits in the form of incomes and as a carbon assimilator. This study aims to analyze the economics value of the ex-coal mining land use as a carbon assimilator by using the extended NPV analysis method. The result of analysis revealed a positive extended NPV value of IDR. 1,961,057,020,-, which means that ex-coal mining land can provide positive benefits as a carbon assimilator.

Abstract

This study tries to use the calculation of economic competitiveness analysis which is seen from four indicators, namely the four indicators used to provide a score, namely consumption expenditure per capita, GRDP per capita, GRDP, and the level of employment opportunities in the regency/city of Lampung province using the Standard Deviation value approach. , then followed by analysis of panel regression data to see the effect of economic growth and the Human Growth Index on the value of the Economic Competitiveness Index in 16 regencies/cities of Lampung Province in 2015-2019. The results of the study show that from index calculations I compare the economy in the district/city of Lampung province for 5 years 16 districts/cities are always inconsistent except for the city of Lampung which has a rating of 1 with an average value of 20.77 in 2016-2019 and inversely proportional to the city metro. This research will further provide an economic analysis of how economic growth and the human development index affect the influence of economic competition, where the results of the analysis using the panel data regression method show that the model chosen by Fixed Effect Model (FEM) has an influence between HDI and the Economic Competitiveness Index with a probability of 0.002 in the negative direction while Economic Growth has no effect on the prob value of 0.377.

Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzed the impact of government size in the field of infrastructure on digital inequality in Indonesia. Method: This study uses panel data analysis with the CEM, FEM, and REM approaches using research samples from the Central Bureau of Statistics, Ministry of Finance, and International Telecommunication Union in Indonesia. Results: The results of this study indicate that government-sized infrastructure has a negative and significant effect on the ICT Index, while the square government-sized infrastructure/infrastructure expenditure optimization effect has a positive and significant impact on the ICT Index, and the implementation of the infrastructure budget supports digital equity; therefore, it is necessary to have an equal distribution of infrastructure in all corners in order to proportionally increase the allocation of the infrastructure budget. This means that the size of the government is still too small to equalize the increase in the ICT development index. Based on the government size threshold, the average for each province in Indonesia reached 68 percent. Limitations: This study was limited to the national level of each region in Indonesia. Contributions: This study aims to serve as a reference for government considerations in strategic policies related to infrastructure spending and issues of the technology change strategy.

Abstract

Inclusive economic growth is an important issue in Indonesia, given the country's uneven economic history and many social and economic inequalities. Despite significant economic progress in recent decades, many Indonesians still live in poverty and are marginalized from economic progress. The data used in this study are panel data from cross-sectional data, namely data from 34 provinces in Indonesia, and time series data, namely data from 2012–2021. The analysis technique used is panel data regression with the fixed effect model method. Based on the results of the study, it is clear that the relationship between poverty, unemployment, and economic inequality is negative and significant for inclusive economic growth in Indonesia. The analysis also emphasizes that efforts to achieve inclusive economic growth should focus on community empowerment, investment in education and training, inclusive infrastructure development, and policies focused on sustainable economic development.JEL Classification: I3, J64, D63, O47How to Cite: Yuanita, A., Ramadhan, D. Abstract

Sumatra Island is the third largest island in Indonesia which has extraordinary natural resource potential. Sumatra Island has 10 provinces which are the islands with the most provinces in Indonesia. Each province has different resources and geographical conditions so that inequality occurs with an uneven economy. This study aims to identify leading sectors and prospective sectors in each province in Sumatra. The analysis was carried out on economic inequality between provinces in Sumatra. This study uses the Location Quotient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ) and Williamson Index (WI) approaches. The results showed that 10 provinces in the Sumatra region had 1 province experiencing high category inequality, 4 provinces experiencing medium category inequality, and 5 provinces experiencing low category inequality. In the LQ analysis it is known that the leading sector for the province in the Sumatra region is the agricultural sector; Forestry and Fisheries; Water Procurement; Waste disposal; Waste Management; Waste and Remediation; and Mining and Quarrying Sector. In the DLQ analysis it is known that each economic sector has prospects for development in the future. The sectors to be developed are Electricity and Gas Procurement; Wholesale and Retail Trade; and Car and Motorcycle Workshop. So that this research can be used as material for consideration and reference for local governments in making policies and synergizing in development in Sumatra.
