Abstract

ABSTRAK : Industri besar yang berada di Cilacap salah satunya adalah industri minyak dan gas (MIGAS) PT. Pertamina Refinery Unit IV Cilacap, dimana lokasi ini berada di sekitar perairan Sungai Donan yang menjadi objek penilitian. Aktivitas industri yang berada di dekat perairan dapat menyebabkan perairan mengalami pencemaran. Senyawa hidrokarbon adalah salah satu bahan yang dapat menyebabkan pencemaran pada suatu perairan, senyawa ini merupakan senyawa dominan penyususun minyak bumi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan kandungan total hidrokarbon pada air dan sedimen di perairan Sungai Donan, Cilacap. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di perairan Sungai Donan Kabupaten Cilacap pada bulan Februari 2019 - April 2019. Lokasi penelitian dibagi menjadi tiga stasiun yaitu Stasiun A (dekat hulu), B (muara Kali Anget), C (muara Sungai Donan). Sample yang diambil yaitu Air permukaan dan sedimen setiap stasiun dengan tiga kali pengulangan setiap stasiun. Kandungan total hidrokarbon pada air di Sungai Donan yang tertinggi berada di Stasiun C sebesar 2.07 mg/L, kemudian di stasiun A sebesar 0.63 mg/L dan kandungan yang terendah pada Stasiun B sebesar 0.22 mg/L. Kandungan total hidrokarbon pada sedimen berbanding lurus dengan air, kandungan yang tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun C sebesar 574.39 mg/kg, kemudian di stasiun A sebesar 497.11 mg/kg, dan kandungan yang terendah di Stasiun B sebesar 261.40 mg/kg. Kandungan total hidrokarbon pada air di semua stasiun masih di bawah batas ambang baku mutu, sedangkan kandungan pada sedimen di semua stasiun sudah melewati baku mutu yang sudah ditetapkan.ABSTRACT: One of the large oil and gas industry in Cilacap is PT. Pertamina Refinery Unit IV Cilacap, where the location is located around the waters of the Donan River which becomes the object of the research. Industrial activities near the water can cause pollution. Hydrocarbon compounds are one of the ingredients that can cause pollution to water. This compound is the dominant compound of petroleum. The purpose of this research is to know the total content of hydrocarbons in water and sediment in the waters of Donan River, Cilacap. This study was held in the Donan River waters of Cilacap Regency in February 2019-April 2019. The location used in this research is divided into three stations: A station (near the upstream), B (Kali Anget estuary), C (Donan River estuary). The Sample is the surface water and sediment in each station that is repeated three times. The total content of hydrocarbons in water of the highest Donan river was at C station 2.07 mg/L, then at station A of 0.63 mg/L and the lowest content at station B amounted to 0.22 mg/L. Total hydrocarbon content in sediment is directly proportional to water. the highest content found at the C station amounted to 574.39 mg/kg, then at station A of 497.11 mg/kg, and the lowest content at station B amounted to 261.40 mg/kg. The total content of hydrocarbons in water at all stations is still below the threshold of quality standards, while the content on the sediment at all stations has passed the quality standards that is already set.

Abstract

 ABSTRAK: Perairan Teluk Awur dan Pulau Panjang memiliki kondisi perairan yang berbeda dan merupakan perairan yang masih baik untuk pertumbuhan lamun. Ekosistem padang lamun tumbuh pada sedimen dan hidup terendam di dalam air laut. Komposisi jenis sedimen diduga dapat menyebabkan perbedaan komposisi jenis lamun yang didasari oleh pemikiran bahwa perbedaan komposisi ukuran butir sedimen akan menyebabkan perbedaan nutrisi bagi pertumbuhan lamun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan jenis sedimen terhadap jenis lamun di perairan Teluk Awur dan Pulau Panjang Jepara dengan menggunakan analisis multivariat. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam beberapa tahap yang meliputi tahap persiapan, tahap penentuan stasiun dengan metode sampling purposive method, tahap pengambilan data lapangan, tahap analisis tekstur sedimen yang dilakukan di laboratorium teknik sipil fakultas teknik Universitas Diponegoro, dan tahap analisis data menggunakan analasis multivariat yaitu Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Hasil analisis PCA  menunjukkan  bahwa  Cymodocea  serrulata  dan  Cymodocea  rotundata  berkorelasi positif dengan sand, kecepatan arus, dan pH. Thalassia hemprichii dan Enhalus acoroides memiliki korelasi positif dengan silt, clay, suhu, salinitas dan bahan organik. Gravel memiliki korelasi postif dengan nitrat dan fosfat.ABSTRACT: The waters of Teluk Awur and Panjang Island have different water conditions and are still good waters for seagrass growth. Seagrass ecosystems grow in sediments and live submerged in seawater. The composition of the substrate types is thought to cause differences in the composition of seagrass types based on the thought that differences in the composition of sediment grain size will cause differences in nutrition for seagrass growth. This study aims to examine the relationship of sediment types to seagrass species in Teluk Awur  and  Pulau  Panjang,  Jepara  by  using  multivariate  analysis.  This  research  was conducted  in  several  stages  including  the  preparation  stage,  the  stage  of  determining stations with the purposive sampling method, the stage of field data collection, the stage of sediment texture analysis carried out in the civil engineering laboratory of the engineering faculty Diponegoro University, and the stage of data analysis using multivariate analysis with Principal Component Analysis (PCA). PCA analysis results show that Cymodocea serrulata and Cymodocea rotundata are positively correlated with sand, current speed, and pH. Thalassia hemprichii and Enhalus acoroides have a positive correlation with silt, clay, temperature, salinity and organic matter. Gravel has a positive correlation with nitrate and phosphate.

Abstract

Anadara granosa are often called blood cockle because of a brownish red color of meat Anadara. This color is due to hemoglobin in the blood. This research was conducted in coastal waters district Genuk Semarang held in April to June 2009 using descriptive methods. The methods used to determination sampling location was purposive sampling methods. Samples were collected at intervals of once a month. The results that of distribution of A. granosa in Genuk District waters, Semarang. Found eight individuals in April, 30 individuals in May, and 1341 individuals in June. The highest abundance of A. granosa found at station I of 2314 ind / ha. Based on the classes of A. granosa in this area, the shells length variation have approximately uniform size but in this area more dominated by small and medium-sized A. granosa, whereas large shells were found relatively little, indicating that A. granosa in this area was undergoing to grow.

Abstract

Mud crab (Scylla serrata) have potency commercial market in this country and the other country. That thing because mud crab (Scylla serrata) flesh has a delicious taste and high nutrition. People haven’t knowed about cholesterol content in both male or female mud crab (Scylla serrata), whereas the knowledge about cholesterol content is important to consider nutrition intake to keep in good health. This research aim to determine cholesterol content in Scylla serrata by observing male and female crab in Pemalang and Demak. This research used descriptive method and sampling used purposive random sampling method. Determination of sampling position used purposive sampling method. This research has done in October 30th – November 25th 2011. This research used 30 male and 30 female with mean body weigh 60 - 100 g. Analysis of cholesterol content used method by Lieberman–Burchad. Result from this research indicates that S. serrata from Pemalang has cholesterol content more large than S. serrata from Demak, while the male crab from both place has higher cholesterol content than female crab (66,67 mg/100g and 61,67 mg/100g in male crab, and 64,67 mg/100g and 58,33 mg/100g in female crab).

Abstract

Pantai Seribu Ranting terletak di Desa Panggung, Kecamatan Kedung, Kabupaten Jepara, Jawa Tengah. Pantai Seribu Ranting memiliki potensi alam yang dapat dikembangkan untuk kegiatan pariwisata. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi kelayakan fisik Pantai Seribu Ranting sebagai kawasan wisata pantai di Kabupaten Jepara dengan mengkaji parameter fisik pantai dan analisis SWOT. Penelitian ini bermanfaat mengetahui kelayakan kawasan wisata Pantai Seribu Ranting sebagai kawasan wisata pantai. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2018 dengan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pantai Seribu Ranting sesuai untuk kegiatan wisata pantai karena hasil pengukuran di stasiun 1, stasiun 2, dan stasiun 3 menunjukkan nilai IKW diatas 80%. Nilai IKW yang diperoleh tergolong dalam tingkat kesesuaian S1, walaupun terdapat beberapa parameter yang kurang mendukung seperti perairan yang terlalu keruh. Akan tetapi hal itu dapat disiasati dengan menonjolkan kelebihannya seperti pasir putih, pantai yang landai, dan tidak adanya biota berbahaya. Analisis SWOT di Pantai Seribu Ranting menghasilkan tiga prioritas utama, yaitu: Memanfaatkan kondisi alam yang ada untuk menambah daya tarik wisata, membuat atraksi eduwisata tambak garam, dan membuat arena olahraga pantai. Seribu Ranting Beach is located in Panggung Village, Kedung Subdistrict, Jepara, Central Java. Seribu Ranting Beach have natural potential that can be developed for ecotourism. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the physical advisability of Seribu Ranting Beach as a beach tourism area in Jepara by studying the physical parameters of the beach and SWOT analysis. The advantage of this research is to know the advisability of ecotourism in Seribu Ranting Beach as beach tourism. The research has been carried out in December 2018 with a purposive sampling method. The results showed that Seribu Ranting Beach is suitable for beach tourism activities because the measurement results at station 1, 2, and 3 showed that IKW values are above 80%. The IKW values that have been obtained are classified as a level of S1 suitability, although there are some parameters that are less supportive like turbid water and a lot of garbage. However, this can be dealt by highlighting its advantages such as white sand, sloping beaches, and the absence of dangerous biota. The SWOT analysis on Seribu Ranting Beach produced three main priorities, namely: utilizing existing natural conditions to increase tourist attraction, making edutourism attractions of salt ponds, and creating a beach sports arena.

Abstract

Gastropods have an important role in aquatic environments, especially in food and energy cycles. This aim of study determine the abundance and structure community of gastropods and physical parameters of the water, the type of substrate sediments and organic matter content in sediments that serve to optimize the utilization analysis and estimation of the abundance of gastropods conditions contained in the Genuk Coastal Waters, the city of Semarang. The method used in this research descriptive method by means of sampling stations gastropods includes 6 points. The study results for all sampling points had 260 individuals, that comprise of 10 species, namely Turricula javana, Thaislacera, Murex trapa, Bufonaria rana linnaeus, Nassarius sp, Natica tigrina, Babylonia spirata, Turritella terebra, Pseudoneptunea varicosa, and Conus sp. Sum abundance of species ranging between 0,08 to 2,37 individu/m2. Value index of diversity (H') ranged from 0,000 to 2,026 in the category of low and moderate, and values of uniformity index (e) ranged from 0,000 to 1,461 are included in the high category and the dominance index (c) between 0,255 to 1 in the category of not no dominance (TAD) and no dominance (AD), and for the distribution patterns are dominated by the uniform distribution pattern from the clumped distribution patterns whereas community similarity (S) category was up to the height ranges between 44,44% - 88,89%.

Abstract

Pencemaran logam berat Tembaga (Cu) di lingkungan perairan laut saat ini semakin meningkat. Logam berat ini memberikan dampak negatif bagi biota dalam perairan laut dengan menjadi penghambat pertumbuhan hingga menyebabkan kematian. Arang aktif dari ampas kopi dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu bioadsorben yang efektif. Penelitian mengenai penggunaan ampas kopi sebagai bioadsorben telah banyak dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan daya serap oleh arang aktif ampas kopi dengan lama perendaman dan konsentrasi yang berbeda terhadap logam berat Tembaga (Cu). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tanggal 3 Juni – 18 Juli 2018. Metode yang digunakan ialah metode eksperimental laboratoris. Aktivasi adsorben dilakukan menggunakan HCl 0,1 M selama 48 jam. Kemudian arang aktif dikeringkan pada suhu 1100C selama 3 jam untuk meningkatkan daya serapnya. Berdasarkan analisa Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric (AAS) yang telah dilakukan diperoleh daya serap arang aktif dengan konsentrasi 0,5 gr, 1 gr, dan 2 gr dengan masing-masing lama perendaman 15 menit, 30 menit, 60 menit, 90 menit, dan 120 menit berturut-turut adalah 99,28 %; 95,70 %; 98,79 %; 99,50%; 97,98 %; 95,39 %; 98,66 %; 99,46 %; 99,92 %; 97,04 %; 96,83 %; 98,57 %; 99,94 %; dan 99,96 % dengan kecepatan pengadukan 150 rpm. Konsentrasi adsorben dan lama perendaman yang berbeda terhadap larutan logam Cu diketahui berpengaruh nyata terhadap penyerapan logam berat Cu (p<0,05) oleh arang aktif. Terdapat penurunan daya adsorpsi arang aktif pada lama perendaman 30 menit kemudian tetap mengalami kenaikan daya adsorbsi terhadap logam Cu dengan semakin lama lama perendaman serta semakin tinggi konsentrasi adsorben yang digunakan. Pollution of heavy metals Copper (Cu) in the marine environment is currently increasing. This heavy metal has a negative impact on biota in marine waters by becoming a growth inhibitor that causes to death. Activated charcoal from coffee wastes can be used as an effective bio-adsorbent. Research on the use of coffee wastes as bio-adsorbent has been widely studied. This study aims to knowing the ability of activated charcoal from coffee wastes to absorb heavy metal of copper (Cu) using different immersion times and different concentrations of activated charcoal. The study was conducted on June 3 - July 18, 2018. The method used in this study was an experimental laboratory method. Activation of the adsorbent was carried out using 0.1 M HCl for 48 hours. Then the activated charcoal is dried at 1100C for 3 hours to improve the adsorption capacity of the adsorbent. Based on the analysis of Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometric (AAS), the absorption of activated charcoal has been obtained with concentrations of 0.5 gr, 1 gr, and 2 gr with contact time of 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes and 120 minutes are 99.28%; 95.70%; 98.79%; 99.50%; 97.98%; 95.39%; 98.66%; 99.46%; 99.92%; 97.04%; 96.83%; 98.57%; 99.94%; and 99.96% with a stirring speed of 150 rpm. The concentration of the adsorbent and the different immertion times for copper (Cu) solutions significantly affected the absorption of Cu heavy metals (p <0.05) by activated charcoal. There was a decrease in activated charcoal adsorption power at the immertion time of 30 minutes and continued to increase the adsorption power of Cu metal with the longer immertion time and the higher the concentration of the adsorbent used.

Abstract

Heavy metals; lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) are commonly used in the industrial sectors, including the industryof batteries, pesticides, detergents, paints, and chemical factories. Heavy metals which get into the water can damage the ecosystems and organisms in it. The aim of this study is to determine the contents of heavy metals Pb and Cd in sediments at Genuk coast waters district, Semarang. This research was conducted on October 7, November12, and December112012 at Genuk Coast Water District, Semarang. The sampling was conducted in 8 stationpoints. The method used for the analysis of heavy metals wasAtomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS), while the sediment fraction was analyzed using wet sieving method in Soil Mechanics Laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University. Based on the research result, the contents of heavy metals Pb was higher compared with Cd, i.e heavy metal Pb ranging from 13,99 ppm - 38,11 ppm and heavy metal Cdranging from 0,17 ppm – 0,25 ppm, while the percentage of sediment fraction in all research stations dominated by silt fraction. The resultof correlation test has showed a positive correlation between heavy metals Pb and Cd to the grain size and organic matter in the amount of 11.4% and 49.6%.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Zooplankton merupakan salah satu biota yang sensitif akan perubahan karakteristik perairan. Zooplankton sering dijadikan indikator terhadap kondisi ekologis suatu perairan. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui Distribusi zooplankton dan pengaruh perbedaan salinitas pada distribusi zooplankton di Perairan Bonang Kabupaten Demak. Lokasi penelitian dibagi menjadi tiga stasiun yaitu Stasiun A (Sungai), Stasiun B (Muara), Stasiun C (Laut). Sampel diambil dengan plankton net di ketiga stasiun tersebut dengan tiga kali pengulangan dan tiga waktu pengulangan di setiap stasiunnya. Hasil penelitian ini ditemukan 20 genus zooplankton yaitu Corycaeus sp, Muggiaea sp, Mysis sp, Penaeus sp, Macrobrachium sp, Anisomysis sp, Pleuromamma sp, Thysanopoda sp, Euterpina sp, Undinula sp, Acartia sp, Arcella sp, Acrocalanus sp, Centropages sp, Candacia sp, Halopthilus sp, Paracalanus sp, Metridia sp, Pseudocalanus sp, Emplectonema sp yang termasuk ke dalam 6 Kelas, Keenam kelas tersebut terdiri dari Hydrozoa, Malascostraca, Maxillopoda, Tubulinea, dan Hexanaulipa.  Hasilnya nilai P yaitu 0,00008 < 0,5 yang berarti salinitas memberi dampak pada distribusi horizontal zooplankton berdasarkan Uji Anova. ABSTRACT: Zooplankton is one of the sensitive biota to respond environmental aquatic of changes. Zooplankton is frequently used as an indicator of the ecological conditions of waters. The purpose of this study is to determine the distribution of zooplankton and the effect of differences in salinity on zooplankton distribution in the coastal waters of Bonang Demak Regency. The research location is divided into three stations namely Station A (River), Station B (Estuary), Station C (Marine). Samples were taken with a plankton net at the three stations with three repetitions and three repetitions at each station. The results of this study found 20 genera zooplankton namely Corycaeus sp, Muggiaea sp, Mysis sp, Penaeus sp, Macrobrachium sp, Anisomysis sp, Pleuromamma sp, Thysanopoda sp, Euterpina sp, Undinula sp, Acartia sp, Arcella sp, Acrocalanus sp, Centropages sp, Candacia sp, Halopthilus sp, Paracalanus sp, Metridia sp, Pseudocalanus sp, Emplectonema sp included in 6 Classes, The six classes consist of Hydrozoa, Malascostraca, Maxillopoda, Tubulinea, and Hexanaulipa. The result is P value P = 0,00008 < 0,5 that meansthe zooplankton distribution is influenced by salinity based on the Anova Test

Abstract

Rembang merupakan salah satu kabupaten di Jawa Tengah yang dikenal sebagai daerah penghasil sumberdaya rajungan yang cukup tinggi permintaannya dan terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Hal tersebut dapat menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan potensi hasil rajungan akibat intensifnya penangkapan di Perairan Rembang. Kajian tentang kondisi stok sumberdaya rajungan  terkait sebaran dan dinamika populasi ini sangat diperlukan dalam pengelolaan potensi rajungan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis struktur ukuran dan parameter pertumbuhan rajungan di Perairan Rembang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret – Juni 2019 di Perairan Rembang, dengan menggunakan metode survei yang bersifat deskriptif. Total sampel rajungan selama penelitian adalah 1200 ekor yang terdiri dari 574 ekor jantan dan 624 ekor betina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelas ukuran lebar karapas rajungan didominasi oleh rajungan muda, dengan rata – rata 105.01 ± 11.99 mm untuk jantan dan 107.73 ± 10.68 untuk betina. Berat rata – rata rajungan jantan yaitu sebesar 95.2 ± 27.1 gram dan rajungan betina sebesar 97.9 ± 23.1 gram, sehingga menunjukkan rajungan jantan lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan rajungan betina. Pola pertumbuhan rajungan di Perairan Rembang bersifat allometrik negatif. Laju pertumbuhan rajungan di Perairan Rembang yang didapatkan adalah berupa nilai panjang asimptotik (L∞) sebesar 71.4 mm dengan koefisien pertumbuhan (K) sebesar 1.5/tahun.Rembang is a coastal region in Central Java which known as to producer of blue swimming crab resources that are in high demand and continues to increase every year. It will because decreasing the potential yield of blue swimming crab due to intensive fishing in Rembang Waters. Study on the stock condition of the blue swimming crab resource related to the distribution and dynamics of the population is required for the management of the blue swimming crab potential. The current research aims to assess the size structure and growth parameter of blue swimming crab in the Rembang Waters. The research was conducted from March to June 2019 in Rembang Waters, using a descriptive survey method. The total number of crab samples during the study was 1200 animals consisting of 574 male and 624 female. The results showed that the size of the crab carapace width class was dominated by young crabs, with an average of 105.01 ± 11.99 mm for males and 107.73 ± 10.68 for females. The average weight of male crab is 95.2 ± 27.1 gram and female crab is 97.9 ± 23.1 gram, indicates that male crab is smaller than female crab. The crab’s growth in Rembang Waters is allometric negative. The growth rate of crab in the Rembang Waters obtained is in the form of asymptotic length (L∞) was 71.4 mm with a growth coefficient (K) 1.5/year.
