Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika penjumlahan bilangan negatif melalui model pembelajaran example non example pada siswa kelas IV SD Unggulan 1 Pulau Morotai. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan subyek penelitian 20 siswa. Penelitian Tindakan ini dilakukan dengan dua siklus terdiri dari tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik Pengumpulan data observasi dan test dan data dianalis dalam bentuk kuantitaif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran example non example dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan guru dalam proses belajar mengajar. Hasil belajar siswa dari Siklus I skor 30% (6 Siswa) yang tuntas (meningkat) dan pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan skor 90% (18 siswa) yang tuntas. Secara klasikal hasil belajar telah mencapai standar KKM 70.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze local wisdom-based learning media at SD Negeri Gorua and to identify challenges in its implementation. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Research subjects included the school principal, teachers, students, parents, and local community figures. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation review. The collected data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that local wisdom-based learning media at SD Negeri Gorua have been implemented creatively and participatively by integrating various elements of local culture into cross-class and cross-subject learning activities. Teachers and the school principal demonstrated strong commitment to incorporating Galela culture into the learning process as a means of strengthening students’ character education and enhancing conceptual understanding. Local language use, traditional clothing, and the integration of traditional arts and sports into learning activities represent notable good practices. However, several challenges were identified, including limited learning resources, insufficient teacher training related to local wisdom integration, inadequate facilities, and weak collaboration among schools, the community, and government institutions. Despite these constraints, the implementation shows strong potential. The results of this study can serve as a reference for schools in frontier and remote areas in Indonesia contexts.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to strengthen the Character Education of elementary school students through the Implementation of Creative Mini Projects Based on Project-Based Learning (PJBL). The problem behind this activity is the continued need to strengthen religious values, discipline, responsibility, awareness of cleanliness, and the development of student creativity. The activity was carried out at Muhammadiyah 1 Elementary School, Morotai Island using a participatory and collaborative approach involving lecturers and students as facilitators and teachers and students as partners. The implementation method was carried out through three stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation. The core activity was a mini drawing and coloring project integrated with religious habits and cleanliness education. The results of the activity showed an increase in student participation, enthusiasm, creativity, and the growth of a sense of responsibility and cooperation. Thus, the implementation of project-based learning through creative activities has proven effective as a strategy to strengthen character education in elementary schools.ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat Pendidikan Karakter siswa sekolah dasar melalui Penerapan Projek Mini Kreatif Berbasis Pembelajaran Project-Based Learning (PJBL). Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi kegiatan ini adalah masih perlunya penguatan nilai religius, disiplin, tanggung jawab, kesadaran kebersihan, serta pengembangan kreativitas siswa. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SD Muhammadiyah 1 Pulau Morotai dengan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dan kolaboratif yang melibatkan dosen dan mahasiswa sebagai fasilitator serta guru dan siswa sebagai mitra. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan inti berupa projek mini menggambar dan mewarnai yang diintegrasikan dengan pembiasaan keagamaan dan edukasi kebersihan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan partisipasi, antusiasme, kreativitas, serta tumbuhnya sikap tanggung jawab dan kerja sama siswa. Dengan demikian, penerapan pembelajaran berbasis projek melalui kegiatan kreatif terbukti efektif sebagai strategi penguatan pendidikan karakter di sekolah dasar.
