Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) merupakan program pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk mengintegrasikan ilmu pengetahuan dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan suatu permasalahan secara nyata di kehidupan masyarakat. Kegiatan KKN ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi permasalahan nyata di kehidupan masyarakat, dan membangun keterampilan praktis. Melalui KKN mahasiswa dapat berinteraksi langsung dengan para masyarakat, menjalankan proyek-proyek pengembangan, serta memberikan dampak yang positif dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan. Program KKN ini tidak hanya memperkaya wawasan mahasiswa saja, tetapi juga menjadi wujud nyata kontribusi perguruan tinggi untuk pembangunan berkelanjutan. Program KKN kelompok 145 dilaksanakan di Padukuhan Sorobayan, Desa Tirtorahayu, Kabupaten Kulon Progo, Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta yang memiliki potensi sumber daya alam dan manusia yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pengembangan masyarakat setempat. Padukuhan ini memiliki potensi sumber daya alam berupa pohon kelapa,tersedianya UMKM dari Masyarakat setempat, dan belum berjalannya kegiatan TPA. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat melalui pemanfaatan potensi sumber daya yang ada. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan melakukan seminar dan pelatihan kepada masyarakat mengenai cara memanfaatkan sumber daya secara optimal. Hasil dari pengabdian ini yaitu meningkatkan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya yang ada di Padukuhan Sorobayan dan terciptanya produk yang bernilai ekonomis. Dengan melibatkan masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan potensi sumber daya lokal, diharapkan dapat terciptanya lingkungan yang berkelanjutan dan masyarakat yang lebih mandiri secara ekonomi. Keberlanjutan program ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi secara positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat di Padukuhan Sorobayan secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the discourse of online motorcycle taxi drivers on social media related to transportation electrification and its impacts on the economy and environment in DKI Jakarta. The main focus of this study is to understand the views, experiences, and interactions of online motorcycle taxi drivers who play an essential role in the urban transportation ecosystem. Using a qualitative approach and the Computer-Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis (CAQDAS) method, this study digs deeper into the discussion on social media about transportation electrification. It describes drivers' challenges, desires, and attitudes regarding green innovation. CAQDAS was chosen because of its ability to manage and analyse large volumes of qualitative data, allowing for the systematic identification of themes and patterns of discourse. The results show that adopting green innovation in the transportation sector, especially online motorcycle taxi electrification is influenced by external pressures such as consumer awareness and government policies, as well as collaboration between technology companies and drivers. Sentiment analysis shows the dominance of positive sentiment from optimistic drivers about cost savings and sustainability, although there are still practical barriers, such as initial costs and limited infrastructure. These findings emphasise the importance of proactive policies in supporting the transition to sustainable and environmentally friendly electric vehicles, considering the needs of drivers, companies, and the public sector. This research contributes to the understanding of factors influencing the adoption of electric transportation among online motorcycle taxi drivers and the economic and environmental implications of the transition.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menentukan konsentrasi asam sulfat optimum pada proses hidrolisa asam, mengisolasi jamur penghasil amylase dan memformulasi inovasi starter dari jamur dan yeast serta menguji prototipe alat destilator yang telah dimodifikasi untuk menghasilkan bioetanol dengan rendemen tinggi. Metode penelitian terdiri dari 4 tahap, yaitu : (1) Hidrolisis asam, (2) isolasi jamur penghasil amylase, (3) optimasi fermentasi menggunakan starter inovatif, (4) Produksi Bioetanol dengan modifikasi desain destilator bersirip tiga dan penambahan regulator untuk control temperature dari motor servo. Inovasi starter diuji daya hidrolisis pati. Hasil Hidrolisis asam dan fermentasi diuji jod, gula reduksi, pH, asam tertitrasi, rendemen alcohol dan kadar etanol. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa Proses hidrolisis asam limbah kantin memerlukan konsentrasi asam sulfat optimum 0,1N sebesar 10 %. Diperoleh jamur Aspergillus sp yang terbukti dapat menghidrolisis pati. Fermentasi limbah kantin menggunakan inovasi starter ragi tape dapat menghasilkan rendemen tertinggi (5 ml) dengan kadar alcohol 3%. Inovasi pesangan sirip-sirip di evaporator pada proses destilasi bioetanol terbukti mempercepat pemanasan .Pemasangan regulator dengan kontrol temperature dan motor servo, sudah dapat mencapai suhu 70-80 derajat, namun belum stabil. Abstract

Energi terbarukan merupakan isu trend saat ini. Pemerintah, lembaga independen, akademisi, dan masyarakat telah meluncurkan banyak program terkait penggunaan energi terbarukan, yang pada akhirnya mengubah energi tersebut menjadi listrik. Energi listrik ini digunakan untuk berbagai kebutuhan, terutama sebagai sumber tenaga dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Apabila listrik dari sumber terbarukan diperoleh dari pedesaan maka listrik yang tersedia akan sangat bermanfaat bagi masyarakat sehingga desa tidak harus bergantung sepenuhnya pada pembangkit listrik utama Indonesia. Bendungan Sungai Pabelan sebagai infrastruktur sistem perairan untuk lahan pertanian sangat potensial dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat sebagai tujuan wisata. Pemanfaatan area bendungan sebagai objek wisata edukasi dirasa sangat tepat mengingat wilayah Desa Pabelan merupakan kawasan pintu masuk area wisata internasional Borobudur. Area tersebut sebenarnya memiliki potensi yang sangat besar jika dijadikan sebagai salah satu tujuan wisata. Hal tersebut menjadi keunggulan dan potensi yang sangat besar khususnya dalam mengenalkan destinasi wisata baru kepada masyarakat. secara umum, objek wisata bendungan Sungai Pabelan dapat dikembangkan menjadi beberapa jenis wisata, seperti wisata jeep adventure, camping ground, wisata edukasi, dan outbond. Program pengabdian ini, jenis objek wisata yang akan dikembangkan di area bendungan adalah objek wisata edukasi. Bentuk pengembangan yang akan dilakukan yaitu dengan mengintegrasikan sentra produksi kerajinan bambu dan alat rumah tangga dan pertanian yang ada di wilayah Desa Pabelan. Di sekitar area bendungan Sungai Pabelan tersebut juga akan dibuatkan beberapa bangunan atau gazebo sederhana sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai pusat wahana edukasi yang disediakan perlengkapan dan peralatan untuk mendukung pengembangan media wisata edukasi. Salah satu kebutuhan sehari-hari yang dibutuhkan adalah energi listrik untuk penerangan lingkungan. Oleh karena itu diharapkan melalui pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat memberikan teknologi tepat guna dan menambah pengetahuan bagi warga tentang pembangkit listrik tenaga surya dan cara pemasangannya. Output tujuan dari program pengabdian ini adalah untuk membuat dan mengaplikasikan teknologi tepat guna berbentuk instalasi pembangkit listrik tenaga surya sederhana untuk lampu penerangan jalan di lingkunagan bendungan sungai Pabelan. Dengan adanya pengembangan wisata edukasi di area bendungan Sungai Pabelan, masyarakat akan dapat merasakan manfaat secara langsung melalui kegiatan ekonomi yang terjadi di sekitar area bendungan. Dengan demikian, pengembangan objek wisata edukasi di area bendungan Sungai Pabelan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat di sekitar area bendungan. Hasil pengabdian akan dipublikasikan dalam bentuk video profil wahana wisata edukasi dan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan secara online sehingga dapat dijadikan referensi wisata edukatif yang ramah untuk anak-anak.

Abstract

Lathe machines are used to work on cylindrical objects. Tool wear is often a problem in the turning process and impacts the results of the machining process. The research aims to compare lathe insert tool wear levels TNMG160404-MA and TNMG160404-TF. The research used the experimental method directly using a lathe with variable machining on feeding (f) 0.04 mm/rev and 0.08 mm/rev, spindle (n) 540 rpm, and depth of cut (a) 4 mm. Tool wear was measured using an optical microscope by measuring the maximum edge wear on the tool (VBmax) and to determine the significance of tool wear using statistical analysis. The results showed wear level insert tool of TNMG160404-MA at a feeding of 0.04 mm/put an average of VBmax = 85.00(μm) and a feeding of 0.08 mm/put VBmax = 63.23(μm). TNMG160404-TF insert tool wear at 0.04 mm/put feed VBmax = 76.18(μm) and 0.08 mm/put feed VBmax = 58.43(μm). On a feeding, 0.08 mm/put motion, the standard deviation (s) of the TNMG160404-MA insert tool is 16.2, and the standard deviation (s) of the TNMG160404-TF insert tool is 17.8. On a feeding of 0.08 mm/rev, the results of t-count = 0.630 and t-table = 2.101, so t-count < t-table (0.630 < 2.101), the statistical analysis results using the t-test showed no significant difference in the level of wear of the two types insert tools.

Abstract

Continuous drive friction welding (CDFW) is a solid-state method used to join solid cylindrical metals. This process involves several key parameters that influence the strength of the connection, including friction time, friction pressure, and machine speed. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of different friction times on the mechanical properties of Aluminium 6061 CDFW joints. Friction time variations of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 seconds were used in the welding process, while other parameters remained constant: friction pressure at 30 MPa, upset pressure at 70 MPa, upset time at 2 seconds, and engine speed at 1000 rpm. Microstructure observations, Vickers microhardness testing, and tensile testing were conducted to assess the impact of friction time on the joint results. Analysis of the microstructure revealed changes, such as recrystallization, in the joint area. It was observed that the grain size in the joint area was smaller compared to that of the heat-affected zone (HAZ) and the parent metal. Hardness testing showed a decrease in hardness value with increasing distance from the joint. In the tensile test, the highest tensile strength of 215.76 MPa was achieved with a friction time of 6 seconds, while the lowest tensile strength of 78.60 MPa was obtained with a friction time of 2 seconds

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of pin tool turn speed and pin tool diameter on strong shear and macro structure on the friction stir welding dissimilar high-density polyethylene and polypropylene sheets. Variations in welding process parameters used in this study were: rotary speed of 980, 1560, 2360 rpm, and pin tool diameter of 4 and 5 mm. The shape of the cylinder pin, the feeding speed of 11 mm/min, and the plunge depth of 7.8 mm were maintained constant. The results showed that the highest shear strength value was obtained on the connection with a rotary speed of 1560 rpm and a pin tool diameter of 5 mm 4.8 N / mm2 or 23.71% of the tensile strength of raw material high density polyethylene. Observations of macro structures show that the pin tool diameter 5 mm has only slight defects in the stir zone.

Abstract

In the turning process, the machining parameters have a significant impact on the product quality. Consumers frequently request that certain industries adhere to product quality standards, especially regarding surface texture. Numerous product failures have resulted in dissatisfaction among the company's clientele because many lathe operators are fixated solely on product size drawings and are unaware of factors that can impact the surface roughness value. This investigation was conducted to ascertain how machining parameters affect surface irregularity. Variations in feed rates of 47.5 mm/min and 345.6 mm/min, cutting angles of 60° and 80°, and depths of cut of 1 mm and 3 mm were utilized to conduct the investigation on aluminum alloy 6061 specimens. The results of turning were evaluated for surface roughness using a surface roughness analyzer and a macro test to determine the structure of the surface roughness. Using the Minitab 2019 application, the obtained data was then analyzed to determine the influence of each trimming parameter working individually or simultaneously. Using the method of geometric factorial analysis, integrate the research parameters. The results indicated that the surface roughness increased as the feed rate increased; the lowest surface roughness was achieved with a depth of cut of 1 mm, a feeding rate of 47.5 mm/min, and a cut angle of 80°. In this study, the surface roughness value decreased as the cutting angle increased at lower levels of feeding rate, while the surface roughness value increased at higher levels of feeding rate.

Abstract

The connection of dissimilar materials is complicated, too. This connection is due to differences in physical and mechanical properties, but with the development of technology, dissimilar materials can be joined using solid-state welding methods. Dissimilar joints can produce a good combination of structure and mechanical properties. One of them is friction stir welding, which is used to connect sheet materials. The welding process of this research uses a conventional vertical milling machine. This study aims to determine the maximum shear strength and welding defects against variations in the feed rate of lap joints dissimilar high-density polyethylene with polypropylene. The machining parameters used in this experiment were 4 mm pin tool diameter, 2360 rpm rotation speed, 9 mm/min, 12 mm/min, and 16 mm/min feed rate. The results showed that the highest shear strength was obtained using the 12 mm/min feed rate variation of 3.11 N/mm. It can be seen in the macrostructure that the incomplete defects produced are less than the other welding process variations.
