Abstract

This research discusses the harmonious chromatic number on the Cartesian product of a path graph with three vertices (P_3) and a star graph with n vertices (S_n). Harmonious coloring is a vertex coloring of a graph such that each pair of colors appears on at most one edge. The objective of this research is to develop a harmonious coloring algorithm and also to determine and prove a general formula for the harmonious chromatic number of the graph P_3×S_n. The research method is literature-based with a mathematical approach, start from constructing modified adjacency matrices until testing the coloring algorithm. The proof is conducted through mathematical induction and structural graph analysis. The result shows that the harmonious chromatic number of P_3×S_n for n=1 is 5, for n=2,3 is 7, for n=4 is 8, whereas for n≥5, it is n+3.

Abstract

The Vehicle Routing Problem with Relaxed Time Windows (VRP-RTW) is an extension of the classic Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) that incorporates flexibility in service time windows. In VRP-RTW, vehicles are allowed to arrive later than the specified time window. However, a violation will be imposed for exceeding the specified time limit. in the form of fines or similar penalties. This research aims to design a mathematical model for VRP-RTW to minimize total travel costs and delay penalties, while ensuring that all customers are served within the capacity limits of the available vehicles. This research uses literature review methods and mathematical formulation approaches to describe the logistics distribution problem. The developed model considers several constraints, such as vehicle capacity, route balance, and service time limitations. The results of this research are expected to contribute to more efficient and flexible logistics distribution decision-making and serve as a basis for the development of vehicle route optimization models that can be applied in real-world scenarios.

Abstract

In general, junior high school students view mathematics as a difficult and boring subject. In addition to students, teachers also experience difficulties in delivering material, including time constraints in delivering quite a lot of material, and a lack of student interest in learning mathematics when using conventional learning methods such as from textbooks and explanations from the teacher. With these considerations, the proposer wants to apply knowledge and technology by making mathematics learning media tutorials so that they can increase understanding and attract students' interest in learning and help improve the quality of mathematics education and teaching. The result achieved is that community service for active learning and ICT should be reproduced because there are still many schools that have not implemented it. Meanwhile, from the progress of the times, namely Industry 4.0, ICT-based learning is very much needed.

Abstract

The Sweembath Bahapal baths were built in 1930 by the Dutch government by employing plantation workers. This bathhouse was used as a place of entertainment by the Dutch. Currently, the management of the Sweembath tourism area has been handed over to the local community as the manager of village tourism. The preliminary survey shows the need for further development so that it is expected to improve the welfare of rural communities. Some of the problems that arise are related to the availability of infrastructure and facilities, as well as lack of promotion, which are inhibiting factors for the development of this tourism potential. The objective of the development of the Naga Sopa "Sweembath" Tourism Village, Bandar Huluan District, Simalungun Regency is to create community welfare. These are: Repairing road structuring facilities in the sweembath tourist area to increase the number of tourism visits that can improve the welfare of the community. The results of the activities carried out by USU's LPPM were road arrangement (paving blocks) and construction of a canopy.

Abstract

Repair and construction of facilities and infrastructure for the tourist area of the Sweembath is aimed at increasing the attractiveness of tourists who will visit. This is one of the physical perceptions of what facilities there are in these attractions. Perceptions of the physical function of adequate beauty arrangement, such as the function of facilities and infrastructure, self-power (motivation) of the environment which are factors in tourism development to realize social welfare. Arrangement of beauty in the environment in the tourist area of the sweembath by Binaan Simalungun Village, USU's LPPM, namely (1) installing ceramics along the edge of the pool, (2) painting bridges, (3) making slides and speedboats (4) Installation of life guard chairs ), (4) painting of the outer wall at the entrance to the sweembath, (5) replacing the barrier zinc, (6) the place of purchase and ticket cutting. Improvements and making arrangements for beauty facilities form an impact in the form of responses from collective or individual subjects, such as 1) the presence of visitors who take advantage of the facilities, 2) parking attendants who regulate vehicle parking 3) merchants who sell types of merchandise, 3) Rental of premises, mats, life jackets and changing rooms. The arrangement of this beauty, affects the increase in the welfare of the community, managers and traders in the Sweembath environment.

Abstract

The arrangement of selfie photo spots is expected to increase the target of tourist visits, both foreign and local. Therefore, making selfie photo spots will be used as a promotional medium to increase the number of tourist visits. Sweembath Bahapal baths were built in 1930 by the Dutch government by employing plantation workers. The results of the preliminary survey indicate the need for further development so that it is expected to improve the welfare of the village community. The purpose of the activity is to become a creative and attractive place for recreation with an environmental perspective, organizing selfie photo spots which are expected to increase the target of tourist visits, both foreign and local. The method used in the implementation of the construction of eight selfie photo spots is something that provides recreational facilities that can make tourists active in tourist activities, the University of North Sumatra community service agency builds facilities for self-painted photo spots as follows (1) Dolphins, (2) Dinosaurs, (3) Elephants, (4) Butterflies, (5) Fire Tongue Wings, (6) Whales, (7) Butterflies, and (8) Turtles. Spot facilities Selfie photos form facts in the form of responses from collective or individual subjects such as 1) the presence of visitors who take advantage of the facilities, 2) parking attendants who regulate vehicle parking 3) traders who sell types of merchandise products, 3) place rental, mats, buoys, and changing rooms. The impact of the development and improvement of the functions of the facilities and infrastructure above, affects the welfare of the community, managers and traders in the Sweembath environment.

Abstract

The Sweembath Tour of Naga Soppa Village has long been known by tourists, both the local community and tourists who come from Medan, Asahan, Labuhan Batu and Samosir. The Sweembath Bathing Site in Naga Sopa Village, Bandar Huluan District, Simalungun Regency has an attraction where the water comes from natural springs, water clarity and natural beauty which was once a place for recreation or bathing for Dutch citizens during the colonial era. However, in its development, the Sweembath Tour of Naga Soppa Village experienced ups and downs. Therefore, it is necessary to plan a marketing strategy to increase tourism visits to the Sweembath Naga Soppa Village baths. The marketing strategy that can be done through a marketing mix strategy. The Marketing Mix Strategy consists of product, price, promotion and distribution strategies which in its application is expected to increase the desired response from the target market so that it will determine the success of marketing. This marketing mix uses the 4Ps, namely: Product is something that can be offered to the market in the form of physical goods or services. Price is an amount of money spent by consumers to buy the products or services offered. Place is a distribution channel for selected products and services to be delivered to customers and consumers. while Promotion is an activity from producers to introduce products or services produced to consumers

Abstract

Study plans, study modules, practice questions and exams from teachers, results of student exercises and exams, photos and videos of teaching activities, and other teaching files for each subject are teaching data that can be used to obtain quality education. However, some of the data is not documented by Partners in a systematic and comprehensive manner. If the data is physically collected, it will require a repository for the data, so it will take time to organize the warehouse, search for files, and provide files to teachers or students who need the files. To keep teaching data collected without using physical storage warehouses, digital archiving can be used. Google Sites, Google Drive, and Gmail can be used to build digital archives. The USU Mathematics Master’s Program team plans to build a site through Google Sites to archive digital files and to display digital archives that are stored on Google Drive and which can be submitted via Gmail online. In addition, the Team also provides training for Partners to build and develop sites on Google Sites and perform digital archive management on Google Drive and integrate Google Sites and Google Drive with Gmail.
