Abstract

SMAN 4 Kerinci (Senior High School) is one of favorite schools which has potential to conduct guidance and counseling service optimally. This is supported by its conducive condition and the sufficient number of the teachers. All of the teachers have qualification in Guidance of Counseling education. In addition, this school has adequate facilities. Unfortunately, the phenomena in the field indicated that the guidance and counseling service was not effectively conducted. This research was intended to describe the implementation of Guidance and Counseling service in that school. This was a qualitative research which applied phenomology approach. The informants of the research were the school fellows including headmaster, vice headmaster, guidance and counseling teachers, subject teachers and classroom teachers. The data where collected through observation, interview and documentation study. To check the trustwortiness of the data, there were four conducted (1) credibility, (2) transferability, (3) depedability, and (4) conformability. The data gathered where analyzed by (1) data reduction, (2) displaying the data and, (3) drawing conclusion/verifying. The research findings showed that the Guidance and Counseling service was not yet conducted optimally at SMAN 4 Kerinci. The cooperation between Guidance and Counseling Teachers with other school fellows was not yet established. This research concluded that the conducive atmosphere, the availability of sufficient qualified teachers, the adequate number of school fellows and the availability of sufficient facilities unless they were supported by good cooperation among related parties, the Guidance and Counseling service would not be optimally accomplished. Based on these conclusions, it was suggested: (1) the Guidance and Counseling teachers to be professional in carrying out their duties and responsibility and to be albe to cooperate with other school fellows. and (2) the school fellows to understand their roles in implementing Guidance and Counseling activities at school and be albe to get involved actively in.

Abstract

Individual attitudes can occur because of social interaction. Some learners anyone dared to oppose, silent and engaged in acts of bullying, so that the necessary efforts to improve anti-bullying stance. The attitude of the students towards bullying that can be seen in the journal cases BK teacher / school counselor. One of the efforts made in improving the anti bullying learners with information services. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of media information services using animation to enhance the anti-bullying attitudes of learners. This study uses quantitative methods. This research is a Quasi Experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The study population was students of SMPN 13 Padang as EG and SMP 12 Padang as CG and samples selected using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument used Likert Scale models, then analyzed using the t-test with SPSS version 17. The findings of this study are: (1) there is a significant difference between anti bullying learners EG before and after following the service information using animation media, (2) there is a difference between the attitude of anti-bullying learners KK before and after following the service information without the use of animation media , (3) there is a difference in attitude differences anti bullying learners CG given treatment information services using animation media, with families given treatment information services without the use of animation media. Based on the above findings, we can conclude that the service information using animation media effectively improve anti-bullying attitudes of learners.

Abstract

Parentsmust provide appropriate treatment of child development, so that children can perceive parenting provided, for motivate learning. Actually many students have not motivated to learn because of parenting. The research purpose to reveal correlation the parenting with student learning motivation. Research methods used are descriptive correlational. Result of research show parenting is quite good, student motivationis quite high andthere is asignificant correlation parenting with student motivation.

Abstract

Bullying behavior is influenced by many factors. This study purpose to describe: 1) Parenting, Self-Esteem and bullying behavior, 2) Parenting and Self-esteem either individually or collectively contributed to the bullying behavior. The population of study is focus in students of SMP Negeri 6 Percut Sei Tuan, with a sample 193 of students, by using multistage random sampling technique. The instrument in this study used a Likert Scale model and inventory (CFSEI). The results of reliability test on parenting 0901 and 0938 for bullying behavior. The validity of instrument on parenting and self-esteem is 0361 and 0.361 for self- esteem. These results indicate that parenting is in good enough category and self-esteem is at a low category, bullying in middle category, and parenting and self-esteem either singly or collectively that contribute to bullying behavior.

Abstract

People do many things to reach effective life and stay away from trouble. One of indicators which disturb life is worrying too much about something irrational such as phobia. Phobia can be omitted by systematic desensitization  technique. Systematic desensitization  technique is one of techniques for counseling to reduce scary emotional response or something worrying through activities which are contrary to those responses. This research aims to (1) description phobia condition before treatment (pretest) and after treatment (posttest), (2) examine effectively systematic desensitization technique to reduce phobia of students.This research uses quantitative research method, type of this research is a kind of quasi experiment. This design uses pretest posttest one group design, there is an experiment group over here. Technique for collecting subject is non random sampling, selection for subjects based on certain considerations and adjusted to research purposes, there are 8 students of Tarbiyah and Education Faculty IAIN Imam Bonjol Padang suffering phobia. Instrument used is questionnaire with 0,851 of total validity and 0,923 of reliability. Data is analyzed using wilcoxon statistic test.Discovery of this research shows that: (1) systematic desensitization technique effectively heals phobia of students, (2) there are differences between pretest and posttest phobia condition.

Abstract

Abstract Students’ discipline violation at SMA N X Padang are affected by internal and external factors. Findings in the field showed that many students broke the school’s discipline. This research is aimed to describe internal and external factors that affected students’ discipline violation and those implications for Counseling and Guidance services. This research is classified into quantitative research in descriptive type. The research subjects are 130 students who violate the discipline at SMA N X Padang. The research instrument is questionnaire. The findings of the research revealed: factors internal (psychology conditions) and external (school’s environment, family, and community).Keyword: Discipline violation

Abstract

Individual counseling services are in guidance and counseling services that provide benefits to the students to alleviate personal problems. Various problems faced by students with respect to the acquisition of the students after attending individual counseling services. This study aims to determine student gains after attending individual counseling services. The study was descriptive, subject students who have completed individual counseling services in SMP Negeri Padang 26 students totaling 35 people. In general it was found that most students have gotten gains after attending individual counseling services both in terms of understanding, the form of the acquisition or expectation after attending individual counseling services. Layanan konseling perorangan merupakan layanan dalam bimbingan dan konseling yang memberikan manfaat kepada siswa dalam mengentaskan permasalahan pribadinya. Berbagai permasalahan dihadapi siswa berkenaan dengan perolehan siswa setelah mengikuti layanan konseling perorangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perolehan siswa setelah mengikuti layanan konseling perorangan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, subjeknya siswa yang sudah pernah mengikuti layanan konseling perorangan di SMP Negeri 26 Padang yang berjumlah 35 orang siswa. Secara umum ditemukan bahwa sebagian besar siswa sudah mendapatkan perolehan setelah mengikuti layanan konseling perorangan baik dari segi pemahaman, bentuk perolehan maupun harapan setelah mengikuti layanan konseling perorangan.

Abstract

The Guidance and counseling service aims to enable students to realize himself as a person independent, responsible, creative students and productive workers. This study aims to clarify understanding counselor about the developmental tasks of students with a service that is based on the developmental tasks of students, research methods including quantitative descriptive with explaining what the circumstances are. The results of the analysis of the developmental tasks of understanding counselor SMAN Pekanbaru showed that overall results of the analysis showed that the overall average school counselors understand the duties and responsibilities as a school counselor to provide services based on their students' progress.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the stress that become a complex problem for students in daily life. Self efficacy, achievement motivation, and academic procrastination expect to affect student’s academic stress. The research purpose was to describe: (1) self efficacy, (2) achievement motivation, (3) academic procrastination, (4) student academic stress, (5) correlation of self efficacy with student’s academic stress, (6) correlation of achievement motivation with student’s academic stress, (7) correlation of academic procrastination with student’s academic stress, and (8) correlation of self efficacy, achievement motivation and academic procrastination with student’s academic stress.This study used quantitative approach with correlation descriptive method and the population were students of Guidance and Counseling Program of Education Faculty State University of Padang. The sampling technique was proportional stratified random sampling. The instrument was a scale model of Likert. The instrument reliability of self efficacy was 0,930, achievement motivation was 0,906, academic procrastination was 0,868, and student’s academic stress was 0,932. The instrument validity of self efficacy 0,554, achievement motivation was 0,469, academic procrastination was 0,453, and student’s academic stress was 0,568. Data were analyzed by using simple linier regression and multiple regression.The result indicates that: (1) self efficacy and achievement motivation of students are at the high category, (2) academic procrastination and student’s academic stress are in the moderate category, (3) there are negative correlation and significant between self efficacy with student’s academic stress, (4) there are negative and significant correlation between achievement motivation and student’s academic stress, (5) there are positive and significant correlation between academic procrastination with student’s academic stress, (6) there are significant correlation between self efficacy, achievement motivation and academic procrastination with student’s academic stress together, and (7) the implication are inputs from the various parties involved in to increase self efficacy and achievement motivation of students and reduce or prevent procrastination and academic stress..Keywords: Self Efficacy, Achievement Motivation, Procrastination Academic, Academic Stress

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problems were many students are having problems of mathematics learning outcomes at schools. Many students did not complete the study of mathematics. The research aims to describe (1) learning motivation,(2) the correlation of learning motivation and student learning outcomes.This study used a descriptive correlational quantitative method. The study population were students of SMAN 1 Rambatan School Year 2014/2015 522 people the sample of 208 people, which is selected by stratified random sampling technique. The instrument was a questionnaire with reliability of 0.971 (motivation to learn). Data have analyzed with descriptive statistics,simple linear regression and multiple regression.The research result showed that (1) students' motivation were at high enough category,(2) there was a correlation of learning motivation the learning outcomes of student.Keyword : Learning Motivation, Mathematics Learning Outcomes.
