Abstract

The sustainability of water and sanitation management is an important point in the 2021 SDGs program. To support the program, it is important to understand Indonesia's water cycle. Given the variety of characters, topography, and geology between islands in Indonesia can distinguish hydrogeological systems and their interactions with the surrounding environment. The design and management of water resources, especially groundwater, has an important role, considering the basin area is 106 km2, the character of a volcanic island with the name of an active volcano. Topography from 0-8% is a built-up zone, 8-14% is a cultivation zone, 14-45% is a protected forest, and >45% is a stratovolcano peak zone. Island morphology affects groundwater flow patterns. This study aimed to determine the characteristics of groundwater flow in the Ternate basin. Purposive sampling of 56 production wells, transmissivity value, conductivity, aquifer thickness, and topography was analyzed using the Cubic spline interpolation method. The results showed that the direction of flow and groundwater accumulation based on groundwater modeling using the kriging interpolation technique resulted in the interaction of groundwater flow and depression cones in 56 production wells due to the concentration and massive groundwater abstraction in the Ternate Basin. The decrease in groundwater level is fluctuating, from groundwater flows that occur radially-centrifugally, the total reserves of 56 production wells are 46 million m3/day, the average transmissivity value is 2.17 m2/day, production discharge is 51,710 m3/day.

Abstract

Pemilihan Supplier untuk pengadaan raw material agar sesuai dengan kebutuhan produksi sangat sulit dikendalikan, disebabkan adanya 2 (dua) kepentingan yang berbeda antara pihak perusahaan dan pihak supplier raw material yang bertolak belakang. Oleh karena itu penerapan metode DEA digunakan untuk mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal. Metode DEA berfungsi untuk menentukan supplier yang tepat dengan melakukan pengukuran efisiensi dengan beberapa input (multiple input) dan beberapa output (multiple output) untuk beberapa unit pengambil keputusan, dan kemudian dilakukan pengendalian persedian raw material. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peghematan biaya sebesar US$281.524,69 sesudah menggunakan metode DEA.

Abstract

Inventory to transport transition was a critical operation that requires high efficiency in manufacturing. This study models the inventory transition of manufacturing plants in a supply chain network. The objective was to configure the minimum fleet utilization with fastest waiting time.  The configuration was performed using reinforcement learning assisted agent-based model (ABM) simulation. The ABM with fleet speed control have the best performance with average waiting time of 5.84 hours with lowest fleet utilization which surpasses other models. Lower fleet and waiting time provide rest periods for the driver. Therefore, performing speed control during transport improves human factor of the supply chain operation.

Abstract

Milkfish is common aquaculture product consumed by Indonesian people. However, the ponds of milkfish in Indonesia manage by Small Medium Enterprises scale of farmers which have problems in sustaining the business. This study proposes supply chain analysis in the upstream level to develop strategic to improve the profit of milkfish farmers. Milkfish supply chain is a network of many actors that work together to create and deliver milkfish and its culinary products to the end-user. This paper defines the partnership strategies between the farmers and suppliers as well as the support from government as facilitator and regulator. Moreover, system dynamic approach analyses the scenarios of partnership to outline the benefit obtain by the milkfish supply chain. Finally, the simulation results recommend the partnership to fertilizer supplier will give significant increase in profit of the milkfish farmers.

Abstract

The rapid urbanization in Indonesia has resulted in increased complexity within its urban settings, particularly in areas combining residential and small industrial zones. Effective evacuation planning is crucial to ensure the safety of inhabitants during emergencies. This study explores the optimization of evacuation routes in such mixed-use urban areas using Pathfinder simulation software. Two scenarios were examined: one with two assembly points and another with three assembly points. The simulations were conducted in a densely populated area in Malang City, Indonesia known for its combination of residential and small industrial units. The results indicate that the scenario with three assembly points significantly enhances evacuation efficiency compared to the two-assembly point scenario. Specifically, the three-assembly point configuration reduced overall evacuation times and minimized congestion at critical junctures, allowing for smoother and faster evacuation flows. The findings underscore the importance of strategically placing assembly points to improve the distribution of evacuees and reduce potential bottlenecks. This study contributes to the body of knowledge on urban evacuation planning in mixed-use settings and provides practical insights for urban planners and emergency management authorities in Indonesia. The use of advanced simulation tools like Pathfinder offers a valuable approach to optimize evacuation strategies, ensuring better preparedness and response in the face of urban emergencies.

Abstract

Workload is crucial in managing and maintaining good performance of human resources and allocations. In an advanced manufacturing industry, human job functions had shifted to cognitive tasks. Thus, cognitive workload evaluation should be used to monitor worker’s workload in optimal condition. Most common tool of cognitive workload tools are perceived measurement, like NASA – TLX questionnaire. Despite of its sensitivity to capture workload felt by the workers, this subjective measurement was prone to bias. Objective measurement utilizing biometrics data of the human body during working state was useful to eliminate bias. Cardiac biometrics were one of the many that were closely related to mental activity changes. The objective of this study was to understand the relationship of cardiac biometrics to perceived workload as an indicator of cognitive workload analysis. The study utilized four biometrics, heart rate, HRV low frequency power, total frequency power and ratio of low and high frequency power, were used to analyzed a one hour long cognitive based study case. The study case was designed in a manufacturing planning context referring to manufacturing aptitude tests, to induce cognition process on 30 participants. The biometrics and NASA – TLX score result of all the participants, were then calculated as effect size standardization before input into random forest regressor model to analyze relationship between cardiac biometrics and perceived workload. The result found a moderate relationship between the two (r2 = 0.576). Features importance also showed the most impactful feature to the model is the effect size of frequency power ratio. However, it is recommended to always consider evaluating multiple cardiac biometrics in workload analysis to ensure good model performance.
