Abstract

PT Chevron Pacific Indonesia is one of the workplaces that are the province of Riau . Inmany mechanical construction and use of welding machines and grinding machines thatcan cause adverse effects to human health and the environment. This study aims todetermine the effect of noise exposure received by workers welding within 8 hours ofwork on the type of conductive hearing loss . This study is an observational study withcross sectional design with a sample of workers studied sebanyak138 welding (welder).Noise data obtained using the Sound Level Meter (SLM ) and the examination of thetype of conductive hearing loss qualitative ( classical ) using garputala 512Hz. Theresults showed that no significant influence of age , years of service and acceptablenoise exposure of workers welding on the type of conductive hearing loss ( p-value ≥0.010 ) and found a significant effect of consistency ( compliance ) use ear protectivedevices ( APT ) the type of conductive hearing loss ( p - value = 0.000 ) . in the regionof Heavy Oil Infrastructure Maintenance Unit Operation PT. Chevron PacificIndonesia ( IM - HOOU CPI ) Duri. The companyis expected toprovide training on theuse ofear protective devices (APT) on a regular basisso asto function optimally and thecompany is also expected to implementa hearing conservation program that includesnoise surveys, engineering controls, hearing protection, audio metric examinationperiodically, training programs, program evaluation and audit.

Abstract

This study was conducted for 45 days from March to April 2013, inLaboratory Breeding Unit of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine SciencesUniversity of Riau. The aim of the study was to determine the growth and rate ofseed (Mystus nemurus CV) using a biofilter taiwanese clam (Anadonta woodianaLea) on aquaponic system. The method used in this study was experimen with 1factor and 3 treatments. The treatments were stocking density of 5, 10, and 15taiwanese clam (Anadonta woodiana Lea) of each treatment.The results showed that stocking density taiwanese clam has significantlyaffect on the water quality of ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, growth rate and survivalrate of seed. The best result was achived by treatment P3 (15 tawanese clam).Total absolute growth weight was 16.63 grams, 2.20% daily growth rate andsurvival rate of 81.67%.Keywords: Aquaponik, Biofilter, Taiwanese Clam, Mystus nemurus CV

Abstract

ABSTRACT             Mudcrabs (Scylla serrata) are one of the fisheries commodities that have high economic value. Feed is the most important production factor in the cultivati of mud crabs. To determine the effect of appropriate feeding frequency and find out the best frequency for the growth and survival of mudcrabs (Scylla serrata). The method used in this study was to use a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a frequency of 5 feeding factors, namely 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 times a day. Treatment 1 (Feeding once a day), Treatment 2 (Feeding 2 times a day), Treatment 3 (Feeding 3 times a day), Treatment 4 (Feeding 4 times a day), Treatment 5 (Feeding 5 times a day). thus 15 units of experimental containers are needed with a container area of 59 x 37 x 17 cm3. Parameters observed included absolute weight growth, daily growth rate, feed efficiency, feed conversion, survival and quality water. The results showed that the frequency of feeding 3 times a day was the best treatment with absolute weight of 74 cm, absolute length of 2.10 cm, specific growth rate, 1.37%, feed efficiency 89.89%, feed conversion 1.11% , Survival rate 91.6%. Based on the results of the study the frequency of feeding 3 times a day is good to be applied to the growth of Mudcrabs (Scylla serrata).Keywords: Mullet Fish, Mudcrab, Absolute Weight Growth, Daily Growth Rate, Feed Efficiency, Feed Conversion, Survival

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jenis pakan berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan efisiensi pakan benih ikan selais (Cryptopterus lais) serta mengetahui jenis pakan terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan efisiensi pakan benih ikan selais (Cryptopterus lais). Rancangan percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan yaitu 1) Tubifex, 2) pakan pasta, 3) pelet dan 4) ikan rucah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian jenis pakan berbeda memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap pertumbuhan, efisiensi pakan dan konversi pakan namun tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap kelulushidupan.Perlakuan dengan Tubifex adalah perlakuan terbaik yang menghasilkan pertumbuhan bobot mutlak 5,50 gram , panjang mutlak 6,45 cm, laju pertumbuhan spesifik 2,67%, kelulushidupan 96%, efisiensi pakan 128,17% dan konversi pakan 0,78.Kata Kunci : Cryptopterus lais, Tubifex, konversi pakan

Abstract

ABSTRACT                The research was conducted from October to November at UPT laboratory in the departement of aquaculture, faculty of fisheries and marine, university of riau. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of proper probiotic on the growth and survival of tilapia (Wallago leeri). The research method is using a completely randomized design (CRD) experimental method with 1 factor consisting of 5 levels of treatment and 3 replications (15 units).The treatments used were P1 = 0 mL / m3, P2 = 3 mL / m3, P3 = 5 mL / m3, P4 = 7 mL / m3, P5 = 9 mL / m3. The best treatment for 40 days of maintenance was found in P3 with an absolute weight growth of 45.88 g, a daily growth rate of 2.06% / g, and an absolute length of 3.79 cm.  Keywords: Tapah fish (Wallago leeri), Probiotic

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the best types of natural food for growth performance, survival rate and color brightness of neon tetra fish (Paracheirodon innesi). The method of this research was using the experimental method with Completely Randomized Design (RAL) by using one factor of 4 treatment levels and 4 replications. The tratments were using pellet (control), Tubifex sp, Moina sp and Bloodwarm. The fry size was around 1.2-1.5 cm and weight was 0.065 gthen reared in the aquarium by 15 L of water and 15 fishes of stocking density each aquarium. The fish were reared for 40 days and feed is given as much as 10% of biomass weight, e times a day of feeding frequency. The results showed that the best treatment was Tubifex sp by giving absolute weight growth for 0.14 g, absolute longevity for 0.58 cm, specific growth rate for 2.99% and fish survival for 98%, while the best color brightness by giving a Bloodwarm. The conclusion is different types of natural diets significantly affect the growth performance, survival rate and color brightness of neon tetra fish (Paracheirodon innesi).Keywords: Natural food; Growth; Survival rate; Color brightness; Neon tetra; Paracheirodon innesi.

Abstract

The research was conducted on February-April 2015 in Hatchery on Jl.Taman Karya, Pekanbaru-Riau Province. The purpose of this research is to knowthe influence of temperature for survival rate and growth of Tapah (Wallagoleeri). The method used a experimental with design used Randomized DesignComplete (RAL) with 3 (three) treatment temperatures of 27, 29 and 31oC and 4(four) replicated. The result has shown that the temperature directly influence forsurvival rate and growth of Tapah (Wallago leeri) with significant value(0,00)<(0,05). The best treatment were obtained in 29oC provides the values dailyweight rate is 1,21% and survival rate 100%.Keywords : Wallago leeri, Temperature, Survival rate, Growth

Abstract

The research was conducted from 30 Meith to 30th Juni 2016 at Laboratory of Brackish Water Aquaculture Development Centre Situbondo, East Java. This research was aimed to determine the immersion dose of recombinant growth hormone (rGH) to increase growth and viability of seed of river Giant Grouper (Cromileptes altivelis). River Giant Grouper were immerrsed for 30 minutes in water containing 0,9% NaCl, 0,01% Bovine Serum Albumine, and different of dose of rGH ( 0, 6, 12, and 18 mg/l). Each treatment was repeated 3 times. This research concluded that the best dose of recombinant growth hormone was 12 mg/l because it had the highest growth body weight (1,29 g), the higesth growth total length (2,29 cm), the higesth specific growth rate (6,63%, the higest feed efficiency (98, 54%) and the highest survival rate (97,8%) compared the each other dose.Keyword: Cromileptes altivelis, recombinant growth hormone, immersion

Abstract

ABSTRAKThis research was conducted from July to September 2018, at the Laboratory of Aquaculture Technology, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. The research aims to determinethe effect of differencesaboutduration of radiation of red LED on the color quality of Tiger Barb.This study used anexperimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) of one factor with 5treatment levels and 3 replications.The duration of radiation of red LED as a treatment is: 8 hours, 10 hours, 12 hours, 14 hours and 16 hours. The size of fish was used is 3,5–4,5 cm with 6 fishes of stocking density each aquarium. Aquarium used size (40×30×30) cm3. The fish were reared for 40 days, given blood worm, two times day of feeding frequency. Parameters observed included quality of fish color, daily growth rate, survival rate and water quality. The results showedthe difference in the duration of radiation of a red LEDhad a significantly effect on changesthe color quality of the Tiger Barb. The best treatment is ata 14 hours radiationperiode withan average color quality improvement value14,18 in theToca Colour Finder. Abstract

This research was conducted on February 24th up to March 24th 2016 at Balai Perikanan Budidaya Laut Batam. This research aims to understand the effect of adding probiotic and investigate the best dose of probotic for growth of fish silver pompano (Trachinotus blochii, Lacepede). The research method was experimental method and Complete Random Device (CRD) with four treatments and three replications. The treatments in this research was P0= no Probiotic (control); P1= 1.0 g probotic/kg of feed ; P2= 2.0 g Probiotic/Kg of feed and P3= 3.0 g probiotic/kg of feed. To understand the development of the fish, body weight and total length was measured every 10 days. The result shown that the best dose of probiotic was P3 with 3.0 g probiotic/kg of feed which provides absolute growth body weigths (1.01g), growth total length (2.57 cms) and survival rate was (100%). But the best efficiency of feed was in P1 (1g probiotic/kg of feed) namely (95.52%).Key Words : Probiotic, Silver pompano, Growth, Survival
