Abstract

This research aims to determine the perceptions of members of the "Palemboyan" farmer group regarding the role of Extension Officers in farmer groups. This research was conducted from March to May 2023 at Taraitak Satu Village, Langowan Sub-district, Minahasa District, Sulawesi Utara Province. This research was carried out using the data sampling method purposive sampling or intentionally. This research is in descriptive quantitative form with variable data calculated using the scoring method. The method used to compile the data is using a Likert scale through tabulation. The results of the research show that the perception of the role of instructors in the "Pelemboyan" farmer group in Taraitak Satu Village, North Langowan District, Minahasa Regency, results in the level of the role of instructors as motivators reaching 35 percent with the criteria of Less Role, the role of instructors as catalysts reaching 32.5 percent with the criteria of Less Role. , the role of instructors as organizers reached 32.5 percent with the criteria of Less Role, the role of instructors as communicators reached 37.5 percent with the criteria of Less Role and the role of instructors as advisors reached 35 percent with the criteria of Less Role.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of chrysanthemum farming during the Covid-19 pandemic in Kakaskasen Village. This research conducted in September-October 2021 and reported in 2023. The data collected in this study are primary data obtained directly from chrysanthemum farmers through intervievs using a questionnaire. Secondary data is obtained from institutions or agencies related to research. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling method. Intentional sampling by taking the Krekeli Framer Group which has 10 farmers as member, but only 1 farmer who cultivates chrysanthemum during the Covid-19 pandemic and that farmer is the sample. The results showed that chrysanthemum farming in Kakaskasen Dua Village, North Tomohon Sub-district is profitable. This is evident based on the results of research income received by farmers in one planting season amounted to IDR 11.541.250 and the total costs incurred in one planting season is IDR 5.522.500. Thus, the R/C value of chrysanthemum flower farming is 3,04 which means that every IDR 1,00 used in one farm, will generate revenue of IDR 3,04.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profitability of the roasted peanut industry at UD. Merpati in Tombasian Atas Village. The research lasted for three months from June to August 2023. The research was conducted at Merpati Roasted Peanuts, Tombasian Atas Village, West Kawangkoan District. Data collection methods used in this study were obtained through primary data and secondary data. Data analysis used in this research is business profit analysis, then the data collected is described descriptively to determine the amount of production costs incurred from the business being run. The results showed that UD Merpati roasted peanuts have 3 types of packaging with different prices and for the price installed with 250 gr packaging with a selling price of IDR20.000 while for 400 gr packaging with a selling price of IDR 30,000 and for 800 gr packaging has a selling price of IDR60.000. UD roasted peanut business. Merpati despite the increase in raw material prices obtained good results with a profit of IDR41.463.194.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the contribution of the income of Mas Gendon's tofu factory workers to family income. This research was conducted in North Karombasan Village, North District, Manado City. The data used in this research are primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from direct interviews with owners and workers of the tofu factory Mas Gendon by distributing questionnaires, secondary data obtained through monograph data and the internet. The  number of respondents is 5 people. The method of taking respondents using the census method is to make the entire population. The variables measured were the characteristics of the respondents, the income of the workers' family members, the reasons for working, and the time spent by the workers. The data analysis method used is family income and contribution. Based on the results of the research, the contribution of the income of Mas Gendon's tofu factory workers to family income in the North Karombasan Village, Wanea District, Manado City, workers get a wage of 2,000,000/month, and get housing and eating facilities. The time spent by workers in domestic activities is 1.8 hours, productive activities are 16 hours, and other activities are 6.2 hours. Income from workers has a contribution of (76.92%) which is categorized as very large because the value is >50% of the contribution criteria, income from other family members is (23.08%) which is categorized as being in the contribution category.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze public perceptions of the development of mangrove tourism in Budo Village, Wori District, North Minahasa Regency. The research was carried out from September to November 2021. The data used came from primary data and secondary data and then analyzed descriptively. Sampling was determined intentionally or purposive sampling, with the number of respondents taken as many as 20 people. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive data analysis using Likert scale measurement using data tables and numbers. The results showed that the community's perception of mangrove forest tourism in Budo Village had a very good category because the community strongly agreed with the government program in the aspect of mangrove management as well as the utilization of mangrove resources and protection of the Mangrove Forest and in addition through the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDES). Mangrove forest is used as a tourist attraction that brings benefits to the community so that it can generate income and become jobs for the community in Budo Village.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the marketing channels and marketing margins of citronella oil and to determine the marketing efficiency of citronella oil in Pinilih Village, Dimembe District, North Minahasa Regency. This research was conducted from August to November 2023 at the Sarimbata citronella oil business in Pinilih Village, Dimembe District, North Minahasa Regency. The data used is primary data obtained directly from the business owner of Citronella Oil in the form of marketing channel data, product prices and marketing costs, while secondary data is obtained from information data related to this research in the form of supporting data, related literature studies either from research results or journals. Data analysis uses descriptive analysis to explain the real conditions of marketing including producers, and retail traders, institutions that contribute to marketing margin analysis activities. The results showed that the marketing channel for citronella oil follows 2 channels, namely: the first channel is Producers - Retailers - consumers, and the second channel is Producers - Collecting Traders - Retailers - Consumers. The amount of margin from channel 1 specifically for 30 cc packaging is IDR 5,000, while channel 2 specifically for 60 cc packaging is IDR 10,000 for collectors, and IDR 15,000 for retailers. The marketing efficiency of citronella oil in each marketing channel is included in the efficient category, because the EP value is < 50%. In the first marketing channel the EP value is 0.33%, and in the second marketing channel the EP value is 1.07%.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of the Turi Mania Farmers' Group in rice farming in Bunia Village, Bintauna Sub-district, Bolaang Mongondow Utara Regency. The research was conducted over a period of 3 months from September to November 2023, based in Bunia Village, Bintauna Sub-district, Bolaang Mongondow Utara Regency. The data for this study were collected through primary data obtained from direct interviews with members of the Turi Mania Farmers' Group about their roles in rice farming, using a prepared questionnaire. Secondary data were obtained from the Bunia Village government office and from online sources such as journals and research theses. The sampling method used was a census method, involving all members of the Turi Mania Farmers' Group in Bunia, from the management to the members, totaling 14 respondents. Data analysis was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach, presented in the form of tables. The data obtained were analyzed using a Likert scale. This analysis explains the role of the Turi Mania Farmers' Group based on learning classes, cooperation platforms, and production units. The results show that the role of the Turi Mania Farmers' Group in Bunia Village, Bintauna Sub-district, Bolaang Mongondow Utara Regency in rice farming is categorized as a learning class with a total score of 121 and a role index of 95.74%, fairly significant as a cooperation platform with a total score of 82 and a role index of 67.74%, and significant as a production unit with a total score of 113 and a role index of 89.68%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze farmers' knowledge and skills in using audiovisual media technology. The study was conducted in Tincep Village, Sonder District, Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi. The research period was from April to May 2024, encompassing preparation through to the completion of the research report. Data collection methods involved primary data obtained through surveys, interviews, and questionnaires distributed to respondents. Secondary data was collected from journals, theses, and relevant research. The sampling method used was purposive sampling, with a total of 43 respondents selected based on specific criteria using Slovin's formula. The analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with the help of IBM SPSS 26 software. The results indicate that the use of audiovisual media has an impact on farmers' knowledge and skills. The F-test significance value is 0.035, which means the independent variables have a simultaneous effect on the dependent variable. Farmers use audiovisual media to learn agricultural information with the help of applications such as YouTube, Facebook, Google, TikTok, and Instagram, with content including educational materials, tutorials, and promotions.

Abstract

This study aims to identify business activities and calculate the income of people who do business in the Lake Bulilin area. The research took place from October to November 2023, carried out at Lake Bulilin which is located in Betelen Satu Village, Tombatu District, Southeast Minahasa Regency. The method used in this research is a survey method to research samples using observation and interview data collection techniques. The sampling method uses a method that is sampling using certain considerations in accordance with the desired criteria (purposive sampling). The population studied in this research is 19 residents who are trying in the Lake Bulilin area in Betelen Satu Village, Tombatu District. The data analysis method used in this research is quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that in the Bulilin Lake Area, Betelen Satu Village, Tombatu District, Southeast Minahasa Regency, 6 types of business activities were identified that were carried out by local residents, namely fish farmers, fish catchers, restaurants, grocery stalls, motorcycle taxi drivers and rat stamp entrepreneurs. The average income earned by residents engaged in various types of businesses ranges from IDR126,000 to IDR25,370,559, depending on the type of business conducted.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of customer satisfaction with the marketing mix of Juli Culinary Restaurant in Manado City Boulevard. The data collected in this study are primary data taken by survey with the technique of asking questions directly to consumers, using a questionnaire, and secondary data obtained from the business related to this research, such as the history of the “juli kuliner” restaurant. Sampling by accidental sampling and obtained as many as 88 respondents. The data analysis used in this study is descriptive analysis which is analyzed using an attitude measurement scale or Likert scale. The results showed that in general the level of consumer satisfaction was in the very satisfied category of 84%, with the highest level of satisfaction being the strategic location of 90%. However, there is one variable, namely promotion, which is still in the satisfied category with a satisfaction index of 79%.
