Abstract

Data security is needed in terms of communication. To guarantee data security, a technique is needed to make data and information called Critography. This study aims to analyze the process of Super Encryption in symmetric and asymmetric criterias using the Triple DES Algorithm and the RSA Algorithm. This can improve data security so that data is more confidential. The method used in Triple DES which is also called the symmetric algorithm is the OFB (Output feeback) method, and the RSA Algorithm (Riverst - Shamir-Adleman) which is an asymmetric algorithm using a random number system so that when these two algorithms are combined in the Super Encryption process the more accurate the data security. Super DES Triple Encryption and RSA algorithm analysis shows that the data created by text will be encrypted into ciphertext using both methods and re-described, so that the security of the data is relatively safe. Super Encryption on the two methods Algorithm is done because the level of complexity is difficult to make Cryptanalysts to steal data and the Encryption process becomes slow but data security becomes safer and not easy to attack Cryptanalysts. The problem in this research is how to increase encryption security and speed up the encryption process by combining the RSA and Triple DES methods.

Abstract

Wave overtopping is a common phenomenon that occurs during extreme sea conditions, where water waves travel over the surface of an open structure towards the sea and pass over its crest. To prevent flooding and coastal erosion, rock structures are often constructed as wave barriers along the shore. These barriers serve as a solution to mitigate wave overtopping. One of the key factors influencing overtopping is the arrival of continuous and sufficiently high-water waves that can pass through the top of coastal defense structures. Several phase settlement methods have been developed and applied to analyze wave overtopping using the Navier-Stokes (NS) equation. By employing the finite element method, numerical solutions and simulations are sought by inputting specific parameter values. This process aims to validate the accuracy of the resulting mathematical model. To accomplish this, a program is developed based on the discretization of the model, enabling a system analysis approach. The obtained results exhibit minimal error values, thereby demonstrating optimal outcomes in terms of rock placement. The entire fluid mechanics system analysis is simulated using the COMSOL Multiphysics 5.6 program, which provides a comprehensive platform for studying and evaluating the performance of the wave barrier system

Abstract

Stochastic programming problems arise as mathematical models for optimizing problems under stochastic uncertainty. Computational approaches for solving these models often involve approximating the underlying probability distribution with a probability measure that has finite support. To mitigate the computational complexity associated with increasing the number of scenarios, it may be necessary to reduce their quantity. The scenario is selected as the first element of supp , and the separable structure is used to determine the second element of supp while keeping the first element fixed. The process is repeated to establish the remaining indices, and each subsequent scenario is reduced accordingly. This iterative process continues until scenario is reduced

Abstract

This study examines the complicated logistics optimization issue known as the vehicle routing problem for multi-product and multi-suppliers(VRP-MPMS), which deals with the effective routing of a fleet of vehicles to convey numerous items from multiple suppliers to a set of consumers. In this problem, products from various suppliers need to be delivered to different customers while considering vehicle capacity constraints, time windows, and minimizing transportation costs. We propose a hybrid approach that combines a generalized reduced gradient method to identify feasible regions with a feasible neighborhood search to achieve optimal or near-optimal solutions. The aim of the exact method is to get the region of feasible solution. Then we explore the region using feasible neighborhood search, to get an integer feasible optimal (suboptimal) solution. Computational experiments demonstrate that our model and method effectively reduce transportation costs while satisfying vehicle capacity constraints and relaxed time windows. Our findings provide a viable solution for improving logistics operations in real-world scenarios.

Abstract

Characterization of the main characters is an essential element in establishing an emotional connection between the reader and the storyline in a novel. Me Before You by Jojo Moyes presents profound characterization through its two main characters, Louisa Clark and Will Traynor, who have contrasting backgrounds and motivations. This study aims to analyze how the characterization of these two characters contributes to the structure and quality of the novel’s plot. The research employs a qualitative approach with text analysis, encompassing character identification, psychological analysis of characters, and exploration of narrative structure. Data were collected through in-depth reading and note-taking of key elements related to character development and their interaction with the plot. The findings reveal that the characterization of Louisa and Will plays a crucial role in shaping the story’s dynamics. Louisa evolves from an insecure individual into a more independent and courageous person, while Will experiences deep internal conflict regarding control over his life. Will's firm adherence to his decision creates intense emotional tension in the plot, reinforcing the central themes of freedom of choice, sacrifice, and the meaning of life. Additionally, validation through literature review and discussions with academics supports the idea that characterization in this novel aligns with concepts in contemporary literature. The study concludes that complex and realistic characterization not only drives the plot but also adds depth to the themes and messages conveyed. Through strong character depiction, Me Before You successfully engages readers emotionally and offers a profound reflection on life choices and their consequences in human existence.

Abstract

Smart city is a city built to create efficient, sustainable, fair and livable cities. Increasing the percentage of population survival in standard and emergency times or emergency medical services (EMS) is one of the main pillars of a smart city. This study develops previous research. The weakness of this model is that it needs to consider the dynamic travel time factor. The model only considers the fixed travel time between two locations, which may not represent the actual conditions on the highway. It is less flexible because it only finds one threshold value α for all λi. Researchers succeeded in developing a model to overcome the model weaknesses in (4) by adding new constraints that consider ambulance capacity and overcome the shortcomings of the model (5) by adding tighter limits on the value of α to minimize the difference between the values of λi and αλi. In addition, constraints can also be added to ensure that α is a realistic value and meets business requirements.
