Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the planning, organization, implementation, evaluation, and learning outcomes of biology with character education with Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (T-PACK) approach through PBL model at SMAN 8 Semarang. Covid-19 virus has spread to infect almost all countries in the world. Learning management studies show the need for state readiness in the case of a pandemic in the direction of education. Learning management during covid-19 pandemic was carried out with Project Based Learning (PBL). One of the learning managements that applied was T-PACK model. Based on the results of the previous research, there was very little research on T-PACK development related to character education. The approach in this study was interdisciplinary qualitative with phenomenological approach. The design research was case study. Informants are 2 biology teachers. The technique of checking the validity of the data using Degree of Trust (Credibility), Transferability, Defendability, and Certainty (Confirmability). Data that has been collected from in-depth interviews with informants was processed and then data analysis was carried out. The stages of data analysis have 4 main components, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the planning, organization, implementation, evaluation, and learning outcomes of biology contained character education with the T-PACK approach through PBL model. The results of this study are expected to be source and study material in increasing knowledge about management of biology learning with character education with help of T-PACK through the PBL model.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how the principal's leadership strategy on the professional competence of teachers to improve the quality of education. This study also seeks to identify various obstacles faced in the professional competence of teachers as well as the professional competence of teachers that are suggested in the future in improving the quality of education. The object of this research is SMK Negeri 2 Semarang. While the subjects in this study are teachers, principals, and vice principals. The research method uses qualitative methods. The results of this research indicate that to improve the quality of education at SMKN 2 Semarang is divided into two strategic activities; The first is a formal strategy, namely teachers are assigned by institutions to attend education/training, either by the school itself or by educational/training institutions. The second is a non-formal strategy, namely the teacher for his desire and effort to train and develop himself related to his work or position such as discipline, discussion, and motivation. There are several obstacles faced in developing the professional competence of teachers to improve the quality of education at SMKN 2 Semarang, among others: the lack or limitation of IT mastery in schools and limited time, the lack of teacher creativity in the learning process in the classroom, and the lack of a collection of books or school facilities, and lack of scientific work made by the teacher.

Abstract

A curriculum is a set of guidelines created by educational institutions to achieve learning objectives. Therefore, there needs to be a management system that is usually called curriculum management. This study aims to analyze the management of the biological sciences curriculum during the outbreak of Covid-19. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach that focused on curriculum management activities: planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating. The main data source is the vice principal of curriculum affair and Biology teachers. For the supporting data are the students of XI MIPA. The data collection techniques are gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. Finally, the results show that the syllabus and lesson plan are carried out to formulate the curriculum in an emergency. They are supervised directly by the vice principal of curriculum affair: task sharing, arranging the biology teacher schedule, and determining the study load in organizing activities. The implementation activities will be seen how the implementation of the Biology curriculum, learning process, and supervision by the vice principal of curriculum affair and their team. There will be a meeting of the new school year period for the evaluation activities, a meeting of the midterm period, and a meeting of the semester. It can be concluded that the process of curriculum management of biological sciences in the outbreak has been running well, although some things need to be improved.

Abstract

Early childhood certainly does not know about mathematics, therefore the task of PAUD teachers or educators who introduce mathematics. Many teachers are not pleasant in learning or stressing on children, so children will get bored quickly in learning mathematics. Modification of Sundanese Games Manda will answer that, even though some of these traditional children's games are very foreign to the ears of children today. One alternative that can be used is to make a Sundanese Sundanese game modification made of banner material. Thus the modification of Sunda Sunda game is expected to later help improve the ability of early mathematics and is liked by students and the community. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of early mathematics learning and describe the modification of the Sundanese Sundanese game based on themes to improve early math skills by classifying objects based on color, shape, type, and size in group B children. The research design used is a qualitative approach. This research is about a case study regarding the modification of Sunda Sunda game based on themes to improve early mathematical abilities. The population of this research is kindergarten children class B (ages 5-6 years) in kindergarten Aisyiyah, Jenang Village. The selected sample is 21 children. The steps in analyzing the data that have been carried out in this study, namely the data in the form of interviews through several questions submitted to the Head of Kindergarten and the Teachers as research informants. The instructors in instilling early mathematical habituation in children about thematic material. In preschoolers, mathematics is only experience and not mastery. Concepts that must be introduced to children by starting; one-to-one correspondence, patterns, sorting / sorting / classifying, numerating, the meaning of numbers and their recognition, shape, size, time and space. Conclusions that can be taken based on the results and discussion stated that 1) Sunda Sundanese game modification based on themes can improve early math skills in group B children in kindergarten Aisyiyah Jenang Village 2) the implementation of early mathematics learning learning with the concept of doing Sundanese Sundanese games based on themes can be understood by early childhood.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman dan hambatan yang dihadapi serta solusi untuk mengatasi hambatan oleh guru sekolah dasar terhadapKurikulum 2013 yang dilakukan di SD Muhammadiyah 11 Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah guru yang melaksanakan Kurikulum 2013. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik pemeriksaan keabsahan data dengan triangulasi. Langkah-langkah analisis data adalah pencatatan dan pengumpulan, reduksi, penyajian, dan verifkasi.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) sebagian besar guru belum memiliki pengetahuan cukup untuk memahami Kurikulum 2013 secara utuh dan belum siap melaksanakannya, (2) hambatan guru adalah pelatihan yang didapat belum memadai dan guru belum mampu melaksanakan pembelajaran sesuai Kurikulum 2013, (3) upaya guru dalam mengatasi hambatan adalah mengikuti pelatihan, belajar dan menggali informasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru SD Muhammadiyah 11 Semarang belum memahami Kurikulum 2013. Guru mengalami kendala dalam memahami Kurikulum 2013 secara teoritis dan praktis. Solusi untuk mengatasi hambatan guru dalam memahami Kurikulum 2013 yaitu mengembangkan kompetensi diri guru. This study aims to determine the understanding and the obstacles faced and the solutions to overcome the obstacles by elementary school teachers to Curriculum 2013 in SD Muhammadiyah 11 Semarang. This study used qualitative research methods. Subjects were teachers who implement Curriculum 2013. The data collection technique using interviews, observation, and documentation.The data validity checking technique istriangulation. Data analysis steps is recording and collection, reduction, presentation, and verifcation.The results showed that: (1) the majority of teachers do not have enough knowledge to understand Curriculum 2013 as a whole and yet ready to implement Curriculum 2013, (2) the teacher obstacles was the training obtained is not sufciently and the obstacles in implement learningbased Curriculum 2013, (3) the teachers efforts to overcome the obtacles is training, learning and gather information. Based on the results of this study concluded that SD Muhammadiyah 11 Semarang teachers do not understand Curriculum 2013. Teachers experienced problems in understanding Curriculum 2013 theoretically and practically. The solutions to overcome the obstacles in understanding Curriculum 2013 is to develop teacher self-competence.

Abstract

Artikel ini menguraikan mengenai legitimasi budaya dalam pengembangan kurikulum agama Islam di MTs Ma’arif, desa Nyatnyono, Ungaran. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif peneliti menemukan bahwa kurikulum di MTs Ma’arif mengakomodasi keunikan nilai-nilai, tradisi, dan kultur keislaman masyarakat setempat. Akomodasi tersebut diwujudkan melalui integrasi ke dalam kurikulum dan praktik pembelajaran. Akomodasi ini merupakan upaya melestarikan dan mewariskan keunikan masyarakat lokal yang bertradisi Nahdliyin. Orientasi akomodasi tersebut kompatibel dengan MTs Ma’arif yang memang juga merupakan lembaga pendidikan bertradisi Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sekolah dapat berperan besar dalam melestarikan nilai-nilai, tradisi, dan kultur masyarakat setempat dengan cara mengintegrasikannya ke dalam kurikulum dan pembelajaran, dan sekolah-sekolah swasta seperti di bawah naungan Ma’arif potensinya lebih besar dalam hal ini. This article describes the cultural legitimation on Islamic teaching curriculum development in Islamic junior high school (MTs) Ma’arif, Nyatnyono, Ungaran. By employing qualitative approach the researcher found that the school’s curriculum accommodates the uniqueness of the local Islamic values, traditions, and cultures by integrating it to the official curriculum and learning practices. This kind of accommodation is compatible with the school characteristics as a private school under the supervision of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) which is very acceptable to the Islamic local wisdom. This research also showed that MTs Ma’arif as a private school has a great potential to preserve the local Islamic values, traditions, and cultures by integrating it to the official curriculum and learning practices.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui, menganalisis, dan mendeskripsikan kesesuaian implementasi kurikulum pendidikan inklusi di MI Ma’arif Keji Ungaran Barat dilihat dari aspek konteks, aspek masukan, aspek, proses, dan aspek produk. Penelitian ini menggunakan model evaluasi CIPP yang terdiri dari aspek context, input, process, dan product. Subyek penelitian ini adalah kurikulum pendidikan inklusi MI Ma’arif Keji. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner/angket, wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan kesesuaian implementasi kurikulum pendidikan inklusi termasuk dalam kategori sangat sesuai dengan nilai pencapaian sebesar 41.8 (77.4%). Hasil per aspek sebagai berikut: (1) aspek konteks sangat sesuai dengan nilai pencapaian sebesar 48.0 (88.9%); (2) aspek masukan sangat sesuai dengan nilai pencapaian sebesar 42.2 (78.1%); aspek proses sangat sesuai dengan nilai pencapaian sebesar 43.1 (79.8%); dan (4) aspek produk sesuai dengan nilai pencapaian sebesar 33.8 (62.6%). The purpose of this study was to identify, analyze and describe the suitability curriculum implementation of education of inclusion in MI Ma'Arif Keji Ungaran Barat seen from the aspect of context, input, process, and of the product. This study used the CIPP evaluation model consisting of aspects of context, input, process, and product. The subject of this study is the educational curriculum of inclusion MI Maarif Keji. The Methods of collecting data using questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the overall suitability of inclusion education curriculum implementation included in the category of highly value the achievement of 41.8 (77.4%). Results by the aspects as follows: (1) aspect of context is in accordance with the value achievement of 48.0 (88.9%); (2) aspects of the input is in accordance with the value achievement of 42.2 (78.1%); aspect of the process is in accordance with the value achievement of 43.1 (79.8%); and (4) aspects of the product in accordance with the value achievement of 33.8 (62.6%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh penerapan pembelajaran blended learning yang memerlukan interaksi dan komunikasi guru dan peserta didik yang lebih banyak, sementara ketersediaan waktu tatap muka dalam pembelajaran masih kurang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis model blended learning yang digunakan saat ini, mengembangkan model blended learning dan menguji keefektifan model blended learning berbasis masalah. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R & D). Analisis deskriptif untuk mengetahui gambaran atau besarnya persentase data penilaian produk dan angket keefektifan yang berada pada ketegori minimal baik sampai sangat baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) Blended learning yang selama ini dilaksanakan menggunakan LMS Edmodo yang hanya diimplementasikan untuk keperluan evaluasi pembelajaran. (2) Model blended learning berbasis masalah layak digunakan berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli yaitu persentase validasi silabus 90%, persentase validasi RPP 84,55 % dan validasi e-learning 83%. (3) Model blended learning berbasis masalah efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran berdasarkan hasil post test kelas control 77,33 dan rerata post test kelas eksperimen 81,11. Hasil analisis Uji t diperoleh nilai thitung = 2,161 dengan pvalue = 0,03 < 0,05 yang berarti bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Manfaat penelitian untuk menambah khasanah keilmuan dalam teknologi pembelajaran tentang blended learning khususnya penggunaan Edmodo pada pembelajaran berbasis masalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik.This research is motivated by the application of blended learning requires more interaction and communication of teachers and learners, while discussing face time in learning is still lacking. The purpose of this research is to analyze the blended learning model used today, to develop blended learning model and effectiveness strategy. The method used in this research is research and development (R & D) method. Descriptive analysis to know the description and value of the percentage of product valuation data and questionnaire effectiveness that is in the minimum category good until very good. The results showed (1) Blended learning which has been implemented using LMS Edmodo which only implemented for learning learning. (2) Problem-based blended learning model using expert validation that is percentage of validation of syllabus 90%, validation percentage of RPP 84, 55% and e-learning validation 83%. (3) blended learning model based on 77.33 control class exam and experimental class experimental grade. Result of t test analysis got tcount = 2,161 with pvalue = 0,03 < 0,05 which mean there is difference of learning result which significant between experiment class and control class. Benefits of research to add variance science in learning technology about learning models, especially the use of edmodo applications in learning-based outcomes learners to learn.

Abstract

Public Senior High School 1 Semarang is a favorite High School in Semarang City, Central Java. One of the ideal schools that is the further goal study for graduates of Junior High School in Semarang even from outside Semarang. One reason is this school is known to be successful in developing the academic and non-academic potential of students. Having students with academic abilities above average and diverse talents, the target of obtaining achievements is no longer oriented to the high value of national examinations but rather how many graduates can be accepted into college. This study aims to describe an innovative curriculum work plan related to further study programs as the development of graduate competency standards. This qualitative research uses a case study approach by analyzing the data in the form of detailed descriptions of the campus early recognition program through various data sources. Data sources were obtained from interviews, observations, and documents. The results showed that the early world recognition program had a positive impact on XII grade because they had the understanding and insight related to knick-knacks for college entrance competition by measuring their ability to compete in a university and can make a choice of majors according to their passion. The successful of this program shows that the government's effort to authorize the Education Unit to develop the Curriculum 2013 into a School Curriculum is an appropriate policy especially in developing Standards Graduates Competency for of the Education Unit Level.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of teacher training, teacher competence and school facility and infrastructure partially and simultaneously to teacher readiness in implementing Curriculum 2013 at Public Senior High School (SMAN) in Kupang city, East Nusa Tenggara. The study included qualitative research using ex post facto design approach and used proportional cluster random sampling technique to collect the subjects. Total subjects in this research were 169 teachers from 807 teachers as research population at senior high school in Kupang city, East Nusa Tenggara. The technique of collecting data used questionnaire and Likert scale was applied in measuring each variable. The analysis method employed multiple linear regression analysis and applied for the SPSS program. The results of this research are: (1) The quantity of the effect of teacher training to teacher readiness in implementing Curriculum 2013 was 30.20%, (2) Teachers competence to teacher readiness in implementing Curriculum 2013 was 47.40%, (3) The quantity of the effect of facilities and infrastructure to teacher readiness in implementing Curriculum 2013 was 17.20%. Teacher training, teacher competence and facilities and infrastructure to teacher readiness in simultaneously in implementing Curriculum 2013 in public school of senior high schools in Kupang city, East Nusa Tenggara was 63.50% and remaining 36.50%were influenced by other factors. Teacher training, teacher competence, and facility and infrastructure have a positive and significant effect on teacher readiness in implementing Curriculum 2013 at senior high schools in Kupang city, East Nusa Tenggara.
