Abstract

Malaysia is opening parts of its services to greater foreign participation due to globalisation. Local banks have since consolidated a decade ago and foreign banks expanding their businesses in local markets have intensified the competition. As a result, credit card adoption is getting more challenging to marketers. Hence effective marketing strategies are important. The theoretical model of the paper is based on the buyer behaviour model by Kotler and Armstrong (1999). The model identifies the major factors which influence consumer buyer behaviour and how buyer decision process affects the buyer behaviour. The paper aims to examine the effectiveness of marketing strategies in enhancing credit card adoption. A survey was conducted on 251 respondents using a survey instrument. The data collected was analyzed using a series of statistical techniques. The results of the analysis are discussed and the findings revealed that social status is an important factor associated with customers’ behaviour. This factor is also associated with sales promotions. Findings also revealed that credits cards that create social admiration are preferred

Abstract

Most births are always accompanied by intense pain and sometimes cause trauma to the birth mother. Efforts to relieve pain and provide comfort for mothers giving birth non-pharmacologically include using counterpressure with a birth ball. The research aimed to determine the effect of counterpressure with a birth ball on reducing labor pain during the first active phase. This research design is a pre-experiment with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The total sample was 30 mothers in the first stage of labor. Data collection techniques used a counterpressure questionnaire with a birth ball and a VAS pain scale. Data analysis used paired t-test. The pain scale in the group before treatment averaged 7.94 and after treatment averaged 6.41. The results of data analysis using the paired t-test showed statistically significant results, P Value = 0.000 < 0.05. There is an effect of giving counterpressure with a birth ball on reducing labor pain in the active phase of the first stage. It is hoped that health workers can apply counterpressure with this birth ball as a method of reducing pain.

Abstract

Abstract

Women of reproductive age are more likely to have systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), which frequently results in health issues, particularly during pregnancy. A normal pregnancy's first trimester shows a marked increase in the percentage of Th17 cells, which then steadily declined in the second and third trimesters. Meanwhile, IL-17 level increases in SLE-affected pregnant women. This study aimed to analyze the correlation between serum IL-17 and pregnancy outcome (fetus weight, blood pressure, urinary albumin) in SLE pregnant animal models. Twenty mice were randomly divided into two groups, including the normal pregnant group and SLE-pregnant group. The SLE pregnant mice was made by intraperitoneally induction of 0.5 mL pristane. Serum IL-17 was assayed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. The serum IL-17 level, the blood pressure and urinary albumin were significantly higher in the SLE pregnant mice group than those of the normal pregnant group (p< 0.05). The weight of fetus was significantly smaller in the group of SLE pregnant mice group than the normal pregnant group (p< 0.05). There was a significantly positive correlation between the serum IL-17 level and urinary albumin (p = 0.042; r = 0.459). In conclusion, serum IL-17 levels correlate with urine albumin in SLE pregnant models, but do not correlate with fetus weight and blood pressure.

Abstract

The postpartum period is the period of six weeks after delivery or 42 days from the birth of the baby until the reproductive organs return to their normal pre-pregnancy state. During the postpartum period, only some postpartum mothers managed to adjust to the post-natal psychological change phase, while others did not manage to adjust and experienced psychological disorders. According to Nasri (2017), one of the problems of postpartum mothers is psychological problems, the most common affective or mood disorders found in postpartum women are postpartum blues. According to Ibrahim (2012) many factors are suspected to be the trigger for the postpartum blues including hormonal factors, age, parity, experience in the process of pregnancy and childbirth, education, marital status, unwanted pregnancies, history of mental disorders, socioeconomic, and social support. . In addition, readiness in caring for babies is also a factor in the occurrence of post partum blues if the baby is fussy for a long time. One way for mothers who are affected by the postpartum blues due to difficulties in caring for babies, especially putting babies to sleep, is to use the hypno sleeping method with white noise media. According to the National Sleep Foundation, white noise can give babies a better sense of sleep, without being distracted by distracting high-pitched sounds.Along with the industrial revolution 4.0 which changed the way humans work from manual use to digitalization, the representation of applications that can be used in community service. Abstract

Pregnancy causes a lot of changes and adjustments in women that cause discomfort. Discomfort is an unpleasant feeling for the physical or mental condition of pregnant women. Discomfort that appears in pregnant women in the third trimester is an increase in the frequency of urination, constipation, oedema in the lower extremities, insomnia, lower abdominal pain, haemorrhoids, and varicose veins. Oedema in the lower limbs is caused because blood flow from the legs to the heart is inhibited, so nonpharmacological therapy is carried out with angkle pumps and leg elevation positions. This therapy is beneficial for controlling swelling and can help pump blood to the heart through muscle contractions. The purpose of the study was to evaluate how ankle pump therapy and leg elevation position can overcome oedema in the lower limbs in pregnant women in the third trimester. This study is a case study with a comprehensive obstetric care approach to Mrs. M and data collection, observation and management of angkle pump therapy and leg elevation position for 1 (one) week routinely 2-3 times a day with a duration of 5-10 minutes. The results obtained from the discomfort care intervention in the third trimester that the oedema in the lower limbs has been reduced so that it feels comfortable
