Abstract

This research aims to analyse the comparison of consumption, savings, and investment theories in the perspective of conventional and Islamic economics. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature studies from various relevant sources. The results show that conventional consumption theory emphasises income as the main factor in consumption decisions, while Islamic economics considers spiritual aspects, blessings, and social justice. In terms of savings and investment, the conventional approach focuses on capital accumulation and economic growth, while the Islamic perspective emphasises the principle of wealth distribution, the prohibition of usury, and the orientation towards maslahat. This research reveals that the Islamic economic system offers a more holistic and equitable approach to managing consumption, savings and investment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between inflation and unemployment in Indonesia using the Phillips Curve theory approach. Inflation and unemployment are two important indicators of macroeconomic stability, and the Phillips Curve theory states that there is a trade-off between the two. This research uses a library research method with an analytical descriptive and interpretative approach, based on academic literature as well as the latest macroeconomic data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS). The results show that the negative relationship between inflation and unemployment as explained in the Phillips Curve does not fully apply in the Indonesian context. Recent data shows a simultaneous decline in both inflation and unemployment, which contradicts the classical theory and indicates a “flattening of the Phillips Curve” phenomenon. This finding suggests the need for a more comprehensive and contextualized approach to economic policy in understanding Indonesia's macroeconomic dynamics. Therefore, the Phillips Curve remains an important initial reference, but its application needs to consider the dynamics of the Indonesian economy which is influenced by structural and external factors.

Abstract

This research discusses the application of Islamic economic principles in enhancing economic growth in developing countries. Developing countries often face issues of economic inequality, poverty, and unemployment, which can be addressed through an economic approach based on moral values and social justice. The theory used in this research includes maqasid al-shariah, which emphasizes social welfare, as well as Islamic economic principles that prohibit riba, gharar, and maysir, and implement profit-sharing systems in financing. Additionally, this research examines the role of zakat and waqf as instruments of wealth redistribution that can reduce social inequality. The research method used is qualitative with a library study approach, collecting and analyzing relevant literature to support the understanding of the application of Islamic economic principles. The findings indicate that the application of Islamic economic principles can create more inclusive and sustainable economic growth, improve societal welfare, and reduce socio-economic inequality in developing countries. Sharia financial concepts, such as mudharabah and musyarakah-based financing, also provide fairer access to financing for small and medium-sized enterprises. Overall, Islamic economics offers an effective alternative in addressing various economic challenges in developing countries.

Abstract

This study identifies the characteristics of market structures in Islamic economics that are different from conventional economics, especially in terms of the prohibition of usury, gharar, monopoly, and the emphasis on social justice through the principle of hisbah. This study also discusses the differences between Islamic market structures and modern economic markets that tend to ignore social balance. The implications of the principles of Islamic market structures provide important contributions to designing fair and sustainable public policies. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach through literature studies that include data collection and analysis from various sources such as scientific journals, Islamic economics books, relevant scientific publications. An in-depth analysis of the thoughts of experts and previous studies allows for the development of stronger theoretical arguments, a deeper understanding of the principles of Islamic market economics, and their comparison with conventional economics.

Abstract

Abstract

This research discusses the relationship between consumption, saving, and investment from the perspective of Islamic economics. Unlike conventional economics, Islamic economics emphasizes spiritual values, justice, and blessings in economic activities. The purpose of this study is to examine the chapter on consumption, savings, and investment from an Islamic perspective. The method used in this study is a literature review based on sources from books and scholarly journals. The findings indicate that moderate consumption encourages increased savings and productive investments. Sharia-compliant investments, which are free from usury (riba) and speculation (gharar), play a significant role in promoting equitable economic growth. In conclusion, the interconnection between these three economic activities forms a sustainable Islamic economic system aligned with the objectives of Maqashid Sharia.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to analyze government policies on the tradeoff between inflation and unemployment using an Islamic economic perspective. Inflation and unemployment are major problems in the economy that are interrelated and often cause tradeoffs, so researchers examine how government policies can overcome these tradeoffs by considering Islamic economic principles. This study uses a library research method with a descriptive analytical and interpretative approach based on academic literature. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of government policies in overcoming the tradeoff between inflation and unemployment from an Islamic economic perspective must be based on the principles of social justice and fair distribution of wealth. Empirically, fiscal and monetary policies packaged with the principle of justice can effectively suppress inflation while reducing unemployment. In addition, social empowerment and efforts to improve community welfare are important factors in creating sustainable economic stability.

In the Islamic perspective, economic growth is not only seen from a quantitative perspective, but also from moral values, distribution of justice, and holistic welfare of the people, both in this world and the hereafter. Through a literature approach, the results of this study found that Islam provides solutions to unemployment through the principle of justice in the distribution of wealth, encouragement of entrepreneurship, state responsibility in providing employment, and economic system free from usury. Keywords: Economic Growth, Unemployment, Islamic Economy.
