Abstract

Perilaku hidup sehat sebaiknya diperkenalkan saat usia dini kepada siswa. Rajin cuci tangan menjadi salah satu indikator perilaku gaya hidup bersih dan sehat. Akan tetapi siswa sekolah dasar masih menganggap sepele perilaku tersebut.  Kegiatan pengabdian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menyadarkan dan memberi pemahaman tentang manfaat mencuci tangan menggunakan sabun. Metodologi pengabdian menggunakan sosialisasi, demonstrasi, dan pendampingan langkah-langkah cara hidup sehat dan bersih dengan perilaku mencuci tangan sesuai prosedur dari WHO. Subjek pengabdian adalah siswa pada kelas 5 Sekolah Dasar Negeri 01 Tawangrejeni. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur keberhasilan pengabdian berupa lembar observasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan respon yang positif dan antusias dari siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan. Prosentase keberhasilan pelaksankan pengabdian sebesar 80% mampu mempraktikkan mencuci tangan secara berurutan sedangkan 20% tidak berurutan dalam praktik mencuci tangan.

Abstract

Anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus masih ada yang diperlakukan diskriminatif di lingkungan masyarakat sehingga diperlukan pembelajaran berbasis moderasi beragama yang mengajarkan anti kekerasan,toleransi, patriotisme dan mencintai kearifan lokal daerahnya. Pembelajaran moderasi beragama untuk anak berkebutuhan khusus memiliki tantangan tersendiri karena mereka memiliki tingkat pemahaman dan komunikasi yang terbatas. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini untuk penguatan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama dan implementasinya dalam pembelajaran di sekolah berkebutuhan khusus, Metode pengabdian menggunakan Partici­pa­tory Action Research dengan langkah membuat rencana peng­abdian dengan analisis kebutuhan melalui observasi dan wawancara, pe­lak­sanaan kegiatan dengan workshop kepada guru-guru sekolah luar biasa dan evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan dengan memberikan google form kepada peserta. Hasil pengabdian 1) Sekolah membutuhkan integrasi pembelajaran dengan penguatan moderasi beragama. 2) Implementasi moderasi ber­agama dalam pembelajaran a) implementasi toleransi dengan edukasi dan keteladanan, b) implementasi anti kekerasan dengan edukasi pelaku kekerasan dan orangtua, memberi motivasi dan perlindungan pada korban, c) implementasi kearifan lokal dengan mengenalkan dan mempraktikkan budaya lokal dan d} implementasi patriotisme dengan mengenalkan simbol Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia dan praktik nasionalisme. 3) Evaluasi pengabdian menunjukkan semua guru sangat puas mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil tingkat pemahaman guru terkait nilai moderasi rata-rata pretest sebesar 69 % sedangkan nilai post test 90 % dengan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap nilai-nilai moderasi beragama sebeser 21 %.

Abstract

The independent campus curriculum is an effort to increase competition in the 21st century, which requires competent human resources in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). STEM learning responds to the need to increase students' interest and skills in these areas. This study aims to determine the effect of using the STEM approach on spatial thinking skills in cartography learning. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest Design, conducted in a single experimental class without a control class. Subjects were selected by random sampling through drawing lots, focusing on 5th-semester B students. Data were analysed using a t-test with paired samples T-Test. The results showed a sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000, which is smaller than the significance value of 0.05. Therefore, H0 is rejected, and Hₐ is accepted. To conclude, there is an increase in the average pretest and posttest after learning using the STEM approach, indicating that the STEM approach positively affects spatial thinking skills. Each stage of the STEM approach affects the students' spatial abilities. The science stages develop spatial abilities in the form of spatial interaction. The technology stages enhance the ability to apply applications and scale on maps. The engineering stage fosters analytical, representative and comprehensive skills. The math stage improves the ability to calculate scale and its application in everyday life.Keywords: spatial skills, STEM, cartography

Abstract

The concept of gender equality and disability long been advocated, emphasizing equal rights and equality between human beings. However, in reality, gender, disability and poverty persists as intersecting factors that contribute to discrimination against the deaf. There are stigmatising assumptions that encourage unequal treatment of the deaf. This study aims to analyse the interrelated experiences of the deaf based on gender, poverty and employment opportunities in East Java. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews with 29 informants, documentation and focus group discussions (FGDs). The data were analysed using the NVivo 12 software, following a series of steps: data input, coding, exploration, visualization, and presentation. The results of the study challenge the gender disability theory which suggests that women with disabilities tend to be poorer than men with disabilities. Instead, this study found that both men and women with disabilities face similar levels of poverty and encounter difficulties in accessing labour market. Some of them are poor from birth, making it difficult to get education costs and making it difficult to find work. There are also those who have difficulty getting work because they are deaf, so they lack income to meet their needs. In addition, the result supports the existence of disability-poverty cycle among the deaf. Poverty for the deaf is exacerbated by their disability, lack of health insurance, limited access to education and skills training, and difficulties in penetrating the labour market.

Abstract

To fulfill their needs, humans often exploit available resources without considering the values of fairness and concern for the surrounding environment Hence, it is imperative to take tangible steps to promote more prudent practices in the management of resources. The study focuses on three Islamic Higher Education Institutions (PTKIs) in Indonesia that incorporate Islamic values into their courses, including Entrepreneurship. The informants consisted of 9 entrepreneurship course lecturers and 20 students enrolled in the course. Data were obtained through open surveys and in-depth interviews. This research reveals that the entrepreneurship learning in PTKIs focuses solely on enhancing the quality and quantity of production, expanding product distribution, and attracting more consumers, ultimately leading to higher profits. There is an urgent need to develop an entrepreneurship learning model based on caring economics. This research recommends further studies to develop an entrepreneurship learning model based on caring economics.

Abstract

This study analyzed and explored social practices and community-based movements for gender justice carried out by the females of Muhammadiyah. To this point, there has been a duality in supporting the epistemological construction, which is the status of women and their role in the public sphere. This study employed a qualitative interpretive approach with an ethnomethodology approach by conducting observations, conducting interviews, and being involved in social dynamics activities and community-based education. This study was conducted in Malang City, with the consideration that there are social dynamics and community-based movements carried out by Muhammadiyah’s females for gender justice. Informants in the research were Muhammadiyah Regional Leaders, Aisyiyah Regional Leaders, Nasyiatul Aisyiyah Regional Leaders, active members of Muhammadiyah, and Muhammadiyah mothers who were involved in social activities with gender ideology. The data were analyzed by inductive data analysis. This study found out that the social dynamics and community-based education movement for gender justice carried out by Muhammadiyah’s females are as follows: (1) religious activities, disseminating the amr ma’ruf nahi munkar movement and Islamic egalitarianism; (2) education and advocacy on women’s issues (local dynamics); (3) agency, which was divided into mainstream groups (conservative-literal, rational-praxis), and religion’s critical-reinterpretation group for gender justice.

Abstract

Relaxation can be one way to cope with stress, therefore, it is important to control stress in learning. This research aims to describe the implementation of team quiz learning relaxation in improving student activeness. This research uses qualitative research methods. The data was obtained from observation, interview and documentation. The research subjects were teachers and students of MtsN Kota Malang. Data analysis with the following steps: 1) Data collection, 2) Data Condensation, 3) Data Presentation, and 4) Drawing Conclusions. The findings of this study concluded that the implementation of team quizzes was significantly able to increase student activity, which was reflected in several indicators, such as: 1) higher attendance in learning activities, 2) increased attention to teacher explanations, 3) active in discussing and collaborating in groups, 4) students' ability to express and listen to opinions, and 5) increased cooperation in planning and solving learning problems. The implications of these findings indicate that learning relaxation using the team quiz learning method can be an effective strategy in creating a more active learning environment and is able to reduce stress in students so that it can improve student academic achievement.

Abstract

Develop a pattern of empowerment with a series of systematic activities for class teachers at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level towards Disaster Safe Schools/Madrasah (SMAB) in South Malang Regency with high and very high levels of vulnerability to landslides. This service aims to provide training in the development of comic learning media based on landslide disaster mitigation. The service strategy uses CBR (Community-Based Research) by carrying out two stages, namely FGD and training to make comics using the pixton application. The location of the training is in two schools that are prone to landslides, namely MIN 1 Malang and MIN 3 Malang. The training carried out has been running effectively and efficiently, so that it can develop into a Disaster-Safe School/Madrasah (SMAB).

Abstract

Entrepreneurship represents one of the skills that universities must teach their students to prepare them for the workforce. The research objective is to investigate the effectiveness of blended-based experiential learning as a strategy for improving entrepreneurial skills. The pre-test and post-test control group design was the research model. The subject is students enrolled in entrepreneurship education courses at the Social Science Education Department Universitas Islam Negeri Malang, Indonesia. The experimental group used experiential learning, and the control group used traditional learning. Entrepreneurial skills instrument consists of 19 valid and reliable using likert scale statement items. The analysis of data using independent sample t-test. The findings revealed a significance value of 0.000<0.05, indicating that the model successfully enhances entrepreneurial skills. The implication is the model can be an effective reference in teaching entrepreneurship. Through hands-on experience, students can discover knowledge and improve entrepreneurial skills through online and offline learning (blended).

Abstract

Tujuan program ini untuk mengatasi problematika urban farming di kelurahan Purwantoro RW 5 dengan pelahitan hidroponik sistem wick. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dengan metode ABCD (asset-based community development. Pengabdian ini menekankan pada pemanfaatan asset masyarakat purwantoro RW 5 berupa lahan diteras rumah. Komunitas yang dijadikan subjek pengabdian adalah Pengurus RW 5 dan ibu-ibu PKK. Tahap kegiatan yang hendak dilaksanakan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut adalah: 1) Analisis Aset, 2) Rencana Tindakan, 3) Action, 4) Monitoring dan evaluasi dan 5) Refleksi.  Pada saat pelatihan peserta diberi angket untuk mengukur pemahaman dan kepuasan masyarakat terhadap pengabdian. Hasil dari angket akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan rumus prosentase.Hasil analisis aset menunjukkan bahwa belum ditemukan sistem wick dalam penanaman hidroponik di RW 5 akan tetapi kelurahan purwantoro memiliki potensi untuk di terapkan sistem wick. Kegaiatan perencaan kegiatan pelatihan berjalan lancar. Kegaiatan pelaksaaan dikur dengan angket yang telah diisi oleh peserta sebagai berikut. 1) pemahaman peserta saat mengikuti pelatihan bahwa 52% baik dan 48 % baik sekali 2) Hidroponik system wick sebagai alternatif pertanian dilahan sempit menunjukkan 16% setuju dan 84% sangat setuju, 3) Hidroponik system wick dapat mengatasi ketahanan pangan menunjukkan bahwa 20% setuju dan 72%  sangat setuju, dan 8 % tidak menjawab
