Abstract

This study examines the impact of regeneration and external knowledge on business sustainability in the Tanggulangin cracker MSME in Sidoarjo Regency, by implementing innovation practices as a modification. This study uses a quantitative research approach and asks questions to 65 respondents who are MSME actors who have a perspective on the business regeneration succession process and regularly participate in training activities organized by the local government. By using SmartPLS 4.0 to analyze the data, the findings show that regeneration and external knowledge have a significant positive effect on business sustainability. This finding is consistent with the Theory of Planned Behavior, which states that intention is a function of three determinants: the first is personal, the second reflects social influences, and the third is related to control with problems. Intention plays a unique role in directing action, serving as a link between a person's deep beliefs and desires and specific actions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of investment and firm growth on the improvement of firm value, with profitability serving as a mediating factor. This study employs a quantitative research design using secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The population includes infrastructure sector companies listed on the IDX from 2021 to 2023, and purposive sampling was applied to select 29 companies, yielding a total of 87 firm-year observations. Path analysis with SPSS software was used to test the hypotheses and examine both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The findings reveal that investment has a significant positive impact on firm value, indicating that firms with higher levels of investment tend to enhance their market valuation. Similarly, firm growth contributes positively to firm value, suggesting that sustainable expansion fosters greater investor confidence. Moreover, profitability is proven to mediate the relationship between investment and firm value, showing that the benefits of investment are maximized when they lead to improved profitability. Profitability also significantly mediates the relationship between firm growth and firm value, underscoring its role as a key driver in translating growth strategies into shareholder value. These results highlight the importance of profitability as a strategic element in strengthening firm value. Practically, the study suggests that managers should prioritize profitable investments and sustainable growth strategies to maximize firm value, while investors may consider profitability as a central indicator when evaluating firm performance.

Abstract

The increasing severity of environmental problems requires higher education institutions to play an active role in implementing sustainable policies, one of which is Green Transformational Leadership (GTL). This study aims to analyze the effect of GTL on environmental performance (EP) based on student perceptions at state universities in Surabaya, with a focus on the mediating roles of environmental knowledge sharing (EKS) and green organizational culture (GOC). The study employs a quantitative, explanatory research approach. Data were collected via questionnaires from 179 students and analyzed using the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method to test the direct and indirect effects of the variables. The results showed that GTL contributes directly to EP, and then EKS mediates the influence of GTL on EP. GOC also mediates the influence of GTL on EP. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the role of GTL in higher education, as well as improve organizational culture and collaboration in sharing environmental knowledge, to support sustainable EP.

Abstract

Performance is measured by company valuation to attract investors. This study examines the effects of institutional ownership on firm value in three ways: 1) directly, 2) indirectly with dividend policy as an intervening variable, and 3) indirectly with investment decisions as an intervening variable. From 279 consumer goods manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange until 2023, 52 were selected via purposive sampling. Using the Sobel Test, it was found that: 1) Institutional Ownership positively and significantly impacts Firm Value, 2) Dividend Policy does not mediate the effect of Institutional Ownership on Firm Value, and 3) Investment Decisions do mediate the effect of Institutional Ownership on Firm Value
