Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of herding and overconfidence on investment decisions, with risk perception as a moderating variable among young investors in Surabaya. A quantitative method was used with 100 purposively selected respondents. Data were gathered through structured questionnaires and analyzed using PLS-SEM via SmartPLS 4.0. Results show that herding and overconfidence significantly and positively influence investment decisions. However, risk perception does not moderate the effect of herding, indicating that social factors may outweigh individual risk awareness. In contrast, risk perception significantly weakens the impact of overconfidence, suggesting that risk-aware investors are more cautious and rational. These findings align with the Theory of Planned Behavior, emphasizing the role of perceived behavioral control. The study highlights the importance of addressing behavioral biases and risk perception in financial education to support better investment decision-making.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of risk perception and digital literacy on the adoption of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard), with trust as a moderating variable among Generation Z in Sidoarjo Regency. This study adopts the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as its theoretical framework. A total of 100 respondents were selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that both risk perception and digital literacy have a positive and significant effect on the adoption of QRIS. However, trust does not significantly moderate the relationship between risk perception or digital literacy and QRIS adoption. These findings suggest that trust neither strengthens nor weakens the influence of the two independent variables on QRIS adoption among Generation Z in Sidoarjo Regency.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of regeneration and external knowledge on business sustainability in the Tanggulangin cracker MSME in Sidoarjo Regency, by implementing innovation practices as a modification. This study uses a quantitative research approach and asks questions to 65 respondents who are MSME actors who have a perspective on the business regeneration succession process and regularly participate in training activities organized by the local government. By using SmartPLS 4.0 to analyze the data, the findings show that regeneration and external knowledge have a significant positive effect on business sustainability. This finding is consistent with the Theory of Planned Behavior, which states that intention is a function of three determinants: the first is personal, the second reflects social influences, and the third is related to control with problems. Intention plays a unique role in directing action, serving as a link between a person's deep beliefs and desires and specific actions.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of investment and firm growth on the improvement of firm value, with profitability serving as a mediating factor. This study employs a quantitative research design using secondary data obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The population includes infrastructure sector companies listed on the IDX from 2021 to 2023, and purposive sampling was applied to select 29 companies, yielding a total of 87 firm-year observations. Path analysis with SPSS software was used to test the hypotheses and examine both direct and indirect relationships among the variables. The findings reveal that investment has a significant positive impact on firm value, indicating that firms with higher levels of investment tend to enhance their market valuation. Similarly, firm growth contributes positively to firm value, suggesting that sustainable expansion fosters greater investor confidence. Moreover, profitability is proven to mediate the relationship between investment and firm value, showing that the benefits of investment are maximized when they lead to improved profitability. Profitability also significantly mediates the relationship between firm growth and firm value, underscoring its role as a key driver in translating growth strategies into shareholder value. These results highlight the importance of profitability as a strategic element in strengthening firm value. Practically, the study suggests that managers should prioritize profitable investments and sustainable growth strategies to maximize firm value, while investors may consider profitability as a central indicator when evaluating firm performance.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is an important element that must be explored and developed in facing today's global economy. Al Usmaniyah Islamic Boarding School as a religious educational institution has great potential to develop the entrepreneurial spirit of its students so that they are able to carry out business activities that can increase economic independence. This community service program aims to improve the entrepreneurial spirit of students at Al Usmaniyah Islamic Boarding School, Jombang Regency, through an environmental analysis approach and entrepreneurship training. By using qualitative methods and a participatory approach, this program actively involves students in every stage of the activity, from planning, implementing training, to practical assistance. The SWOT analysis approach is used to help students recognize strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, both individually and in the context of the Islamic boarding school environment. The results of the program show an increase in students' understanding and skills in the field of entrepreneurship, such as business management, financial management, and marketing strategies. Students also succeeded in designing and implementing small business prototypes that are relevant to the Islamic boarding school environment. Although this program faces obstacles such as time constraints due to the busy Islamic boarding school schedule, the participatory approach has proven effective in encouraging active involvement of students. This program makes a positive contribution to the development of economic independence of students and the Islamic boarding school as a whole. The sustainability of the program is expected through the integration of entrepreneurship training into the routine activities of the Islamic boarding school.
