Abstract

This research mainly aims to give input to Semarang Local Government in the efficiency of electricity utilization to the street illumination and the management of income tax from the societies, so they can be utilized optimally, directly, and in integrated way in order to the management of city infrastructures service. This research using the influence of traffic passenger car unit (pcu) for optimizing in a low density of traffic condition. The data of the Average Daily Traffic (ADT) volume on Pahlawan street was gathered from 6.00 p.m-6.00 a.m in every 15 minutes. The data was analyzed using quartile technique with K1 (25%) and K2 (50 %), then the researcher designed a line chart table of a link between the ADT and the time of the electricity switching on. In working days, the results are (1) the efficient time of street illumination in K1 (25%) was between 10.30 p.m-3.45 a.m, (2) in K2 (50%) was between 9.45 p.m-4.30 a.m. Due to the security and the beauty of the town and also considering the density of the traffic, the optimization and the dimming of the electricity are not needed in holidays. The optimization using ballast dimming (40%) from 250 watt to 150 watt for all lamps, obtained a significant account 32,4 Lx for average illumination. It is still fulfill the minimal requirement of 7 Lx for the average illumination on the collector street type. The optimization with dimming system obtained an efficiency in K1 (25%) was 23.16% and in K2 (50%) was 25,05%.  Kajian ini bertujuan untuk memberi masukan kepada Pemerintah Kota Semarang dalam rangka efisiensi penggunaan daya listrik untuk penerangan jalan umum dan pengelolaan  pendapatan pajak dari masyarakat. Kajian ini menggunakan pengaruh dari kepadatan lalu lintas jalan dalam satuan mobil penumpang (smp), guna optimalisasi penerangan jalan umum dalam kondisi kepadatan lalu lintas jalan yang rendah. Data Volume Lalu lintas Harian Rata-rata (LHR) Jalan pahlawan dilakukan dari jam 18.00 sore hari, hingga 06.00 WIB pagi  dengan pencatatan per 15 menit, kemudian dibuat tabel grafik garis hubungan antara LHR dengan waktu penyalaan lampu penerangan jalan umum Kota Semarang, pada hari kerja diperoleh : (1) waktu efisiensi penyalaan lampu pada K1 (25%) antara jam 22.30 sampai dengan 03.45 Wib, (2) waktu efisiensi penyalaan lampu pada K2 (50%) antara jam 21.45 sampai dengan 04.30 Wib. Sedangkan pada hari libur berdasarkan keamanan dan keindahan kota serta volume lalulintas kendaraan yang cukup padat maka tidak ada perlakuan optimalisasi peredupan. Optimalisasi dengan sistem peredupan ballast (40%) dari daya 250 watt menjadi 150 watt pada seluruh titik lampu penerangan, didapat perhitungan kuat penerangan rata-rata sebesar 32,4 Lx,  dan masih memenuhi syarat minimal kuat penerangan rata-rata untuk jenis jalan kolektor sebesar 7 Lx. Sistem optimalisasi dengan peredupan  diperoleh efisiensi pada K1 (25%) sebesar 23,16 % dan  K2 (50%) sebesar 25,05%..

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how the conditions that support a sense of comfort, convenience and safety (security) track usage by pedestrian walkways in the city, especially in Pandanaran road on Semarang. Data collection methods used in this study is through documentation techniques, questionnaire or questionnaires, and interview techniques (interview). The population is taken in this study is the people (the users of the sidewalk lines) crossing or traveling on foot along Pandanaran road on Semarang. Analysis of test used is an analytical technique used to measure the validity of the items used product moment correlation formula and Alpha Cronbach formula. Rxy prices obtained from the calculation in consultation with the price on the chart product moment r with α = 5%. About as valid if the price rxy r table, then the item is considered valid questionnaires. To test reliabelitas questionnaire study, the researchers used alpha analysis techniques. From the calculation results trials research instrument, the price obtained reliability grain or R11 = 0.844 with N = 20, while the table r = 0.444 at 5% significance level. Because R11 r table (0.844 0.444), then the items are declared reliable. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana kondisi yang menunjang rasa kenyamanan, kemudahan serta keselamatan (keamanan) penggunaan jalur trotoar oleh para pejalan kaki di dalam Kota Semarang, khususnya di Jalan Pandanaran Semarang.Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah melalui teknik dokumentasi, angket atau kuesioner, dan teknik wawancara (interview). Adapun populasi yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah orang-orang (para pengguna jalur trotoar) yang melintas atau menempuh perjalanan dengan berjalan kaki di sepanjang Jalan Pandanaran Semarang. Analisa uji coba yang digunakan adalah teknik analisa yang digunakan untuk mengukur validitas item yakni dipakai rumus korelasi product moment dan rumus Alpha Cronbach.Harga rxy yang diperoleh dari perhitungan dikonsultasikan dengan harga r pada tabel product moment dengan α = 5%. Soal dikatakan valid apabila harga  rxy r tabel, maka item angket dianggap valid. Untuk menguji reliabelitas angket penelitian, maka peneliti menggunakan teknik analisa alpha. Dari hasil perhitungan uji coba instrumen penelitian, diperoleh harga reliabilitas butir atau r11 = 0,844 dengan N = 20, sedangkan r tabel = 0,444 pada taraf signifikasi 5 %. Karena r11 r tabel  (0,844 0,444), maka butir soal tersebut  dinyatakan reliabel.

Abstract

The research is aimed to figure out the comparison of the strength capacity and economic value comparison of castellated steel beam to its equivalent IWF beam. The profile of the castellated steel beam in this study included all profiles of castellated steel beam on the market based on the products catalog of the castellated steel beam from PT. Gunung Garuda. The finite element method was used in this study with the aid from Abaqus program to get a comparison of the strength capacity of castellated steel beam to its equivalent IWF beam. The next stage next involved the calculation of a comparison of the economic value of the castellated steel beam with hexagonal holes with to its equivalent IWF beam. The results of the study showed that the castellated steel beam experienced an increase in the strength capacity of 1,189 up to 2,330 times compared to its equivalent IWF beam. The comparison of the strength capacity between the castellated steel beam and its equivalent IWF beam is at 1,010 up to 1,539. Based on the combination between the comparison of strength capacity and the economic value, there are 14 (58.33%) profiles of the castellated steel beam which is categorized as efficient in terms of the design of the structure and cost, there are four (16.67%) profiles of the castellated steel beam which is categorized as efficient in terms of the design of the structure but not efficient in terms of cost, and there are 6 (25.00%) profiles of the castellated steel beam which is categorized as inefficient in terms of the design of the structure and cost. The results of this study indicate that the castellated steel beam can replace its equivalent IWF beam. Selection of profile of the castellated steel beam is appropriate to provide efficiency in terms of weight of the structure between 58.5% to 15.1% and can provide efficiency in terms of cost of between 48.4% to 0.9%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of adding roving fiber on non-sand concrete to compressive strength and tensile strength. The test specimens used in this study, for each type of variable are 3 cylinders of compression test. The ratio of the volume of mortar is 1: 5 (cement: gravel) while the roving fiber used is 3 cm in length. the addition of roving fibers of each mixture of 0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10% were taken from the weight of the cement. From the results of the research it is found that the addition of roving fiber can increase the compressive strength of non-sand concrete. With the addition of compressive strength concrete roving with an aggregate ratio of 1: 5, it is optimal on the percentage of roving fiber addition of 5%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan serat roving pada beton non pasir terhadap kuat tekan dan kuat tarik belahnya. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi masukan bagi khalayak umum khususnya bagi industri bahan bangunan, dan dapat bermanfaat untuk peneliti-peneliti selanjutnya. Benda uji yang digunakan dlam penelitian ini, untuk masing-masing jenis variable berupa 3 silinder uji tekan. Perbandingan volume adukan adalah 1:5 (semen:kerikil) sedang serat roving yang digunakan panjangnya 3 cm. Penambahan serat roving  masing-masing adukan sebanyak 0% , 2.5% , 5% , 7.5% , 10 % diambil dari berat semen. Dari hasil penelitian didapat bahwa penambahan serat roving dapat meningkatkan kuat tekan beton non pasir. Dengan penambahan serat roving kuat tekan beton dengan perbandingan agregat 1:5 , optimal pada persentase penambahan serat roving sebesar 5% .

Abstract

This research aims at: (1) explaining the difference of achievement as a result of conventional method and Quantum Teaching Method, (2) describing the relationship of positive dependence attitude between QuantumTeaching and students' achievement. The research method was Quasi Experiment with percentage approach. The population was the first grade students of SMKN 3 Semarang majoring in Construction Engineering in the academic year of 2005/2006. The dependent variable was Quantum Teaching Method (X), while the independent variable was the students' achievement (Y). The data were gathered through documentation, questionnaire, and test method. Man Whitney experiment and regression analysis was used to analyze the data for the first hypothesis. It was found that there was a significant difference between students who studied with Quantum Teaching method and those who studied with conventional method. Students who studied with Quantum Teaching Method performed better than those who studied with the conventional method. The regression analysis which examined the second hypothesis showed that there was a significant relationship between the students' positive dependent attitude and their study achievement.Kata Kunci : quantum teaching, teknik bangunan, dan kompetensiMTBG

Abstract

This article attempts to portray the competition of forces in the Indonesian democratic system, with the Ahmadiyya movement as the test case for the “contestation”. This article takes into account the reformation era as the landscape of the study, since this era opens a relatively wider opportunity for many entities to freely express their ideas and actions. Exploring the socio-political approach, this study comes up with the following findings: first, in the sociological domain, as predicted by Dawam Rahardjo, moderates defeat radical Indonesian Islam as the former outnumber the latter. However, in the political domain, as pointed out by Martin van Bruinessen, since the moderate Islam is just a silent majority, then the radical Islam wins the competition - marked by the issuance of the SKB Tiga Menteri, because the factor at work in the winning of this political competition is more on the “logic of power”, rather than the “power of logic”. The victory of the radical Islam in the political domain in turn implies at the failure of the Ahmadiyya movement in its struggle for survival in Indonesia.

Abstract

Grounding on Ian Graeme Barbour’s (1923-2013) typology of relationships between science and religion, this article addresses the issue of the spiritual journey, with special reference to the discourse of stations (maqa>ma>t) and states (ah}wa>l), in the context of humanity study, that is, psychology of religion. According to Barbour, there are four types of relations between science and religion, namely conflict, independence, dialogue, and integration. Following the tendency of the third and the fourth relationships of science and religion, this study argues that there exists a melting point of spirituality, in this regard stations and states of spiritual journey, on the one hand, and psychology of religion, on the other. In this light, this article strengthens the illustrative studies on dialogical encounters between spirituality, in the field of mystical philosophy, and the psychology of religion, in the context of humanity studies.

Abstract

This research is a pendulum experimental study in determining the acceleration of Earth's gravity and understanding the concept of simple harmonic motion. This research was conducted at the Physics Laboratory of the University of Muhammadiyah Lamongan. This study aims to examine the benefits of conducting pendulum experiments with the simple pendulum swing method and in determining the acceleration of Earth's gravity, the period of oscillation and concepts in simple harmonic motion with variations in the mass of the pendulum, namely 150 grams, 75 grams and 35 grams. The results of the analysis of this study obtained the acceleration of Earth's gravity 9.79 m/s where the mass and length of the pendulum do not affect the value of gravity. While in simple harmonic motion in the form of pendulum oscillation is influenced by the length of the string. The pendulum oscillation will experience energy dissipation in maintaining its equilibrium position due to the gravity of the earth.

Abstract

Technological advancements have catalyzed a shift in buying and selling practices, ushering in the e-commerce era that enables online transactions anytime, anywhere. Despite the opportunities and conveniences offered by e-commerce, the practice of 'hit and run' by consumers, where goods are ordered without payment, has garnered attention. This has led to financial losses for business owners. The focus of this study is to comprehend the legal safeguards available to business owners against 'hit and run' consumer behaviors in online transactions. Through this research, a detailed examination will be conducted on the legal grounds that business owners can utilize to take legal action against consumers who violate contracts through 'hit and run' tactics. The research methodology employed is normative, utilizing a literature review approach. Research data is sourced from relevant regulations, particularly Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection (UUPK). The objective of this research is to assess the legal protection afforded to business owners in online buying and selling transactions. The analysis centers on the rights of business owners as delineated in the UUPK and the legal justification for business owners to pursue legal action against consumers.Keywords: E-commerce, Consumers,Legal Protection, Breach of Contract,Buying and selling
