Abstract

Peningkatan kebutuhan semen tidak berimbang dengan produksi semen sehingga dibutuhkan alternatif untuk mengurangi pemakaian semen. Pemanfaatan limbah industri yang dihasilkan dalam jumlah besar serta kandungannya mirip dengan semen. Salah satunya adalah pemanfataan abu ampas tebu. Benda uji yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah beton silinder dengan diameter 100 mm dan tinggi 200 mm untuk pengujian kuat tekan. Sedangkan, untuk pengujian kuat lentur, benda uji berupa balok beton bertulang dengan ukuran 130x250x1000 mm. Perbandingan bentang geser terhadap tinggi balok (a/d) = 0,9. Komposisi abu ampas tebu masing-masing adalah 0%, 8%, 16% dan 24 %. Nilai kuat tekan terbesar pada komposisi abu ampas tebu 8% sebesar 20,51 MPa. Sedangkan, untuk beton normal kuat tekan yang dihasilkan sebesar 17,83 MPa. Hasil uji kuat lentur pada balok (a/d=0,9) dengan penambahan abu ampas tebu menghasilkan beban maksimal (Pmaks) terbesar pada komposisi abu ampas tebu 8% yaitu 48,61 kN sedangkan yang terkecil adalah pada komposisi abu ampas tebu 24% yaitu 38,19 kN. Pola retak dan keruntuhan yang terjadi pada balok dengan penambahan abu ampas tebu saat pengujian dominan ditengah bentang. Kata Kunci: Abu ampas tebu, beton bertulang, kuat tekan, kuat lentur, struktur balok. Abstract The increase in cement demand is not balanced with the production of cement and so needed alternative to reduce the use of cement. Utilizing industrial waste produced in large quantities as well as its contens is similarto cement. One of which is baggase ash. Specimens used in this research is a cylinder concrete with diameter of 100 mm and height of 200 mm for compressive strength testing. While, for flexural strength testing, the test object in the form of reinforced concrete beams with the size of 130x250x1000 mm. Shear span ratio and high effective (a/d) is 0,9. Bagasse ash composition of each is 0%, 8%, 16% and 24%. The compressive strength value on the composition of bagasse ash 8% of 20.51 MPa. Meanwhile, for normal concrete compressive strength generated at 17.83 MPa. Test results on beam flexural strength of short (a/d= 0.9) with bagasse ash addition produces a maximum load (Pmax), the largest on the composition of bagasse ash 8% is 48.61 kN while the smallest is in the composition bagasse ash 24% is 38.19 kN. The pattern of cracks and collapse that occurred in short logs with the addition of bagasse ash current dominant testing amid the landscape. Abstract

Makalah ini menjelaskan tentang perhitungan dan menganalisa lintasan terbang roket model satu tingkat dengan menggunakan komputerisasi atau perangkat lunak sebagai salah satu alat analitik. Adapun perangkat lunak yang digunakan adalah Visual Basic 6.0 untuk menganalisis lintasan terbang motor roket berbahan bakar padat dan MatCad 2000 untuk mendapatkan gambaran kedudukan dan riwayat roket terhadap ketinggian. Analisis perhitungan yang dilakukan meliputi ketinggian terbang maksimum, kecepatan terbang, kedudukan roket dan perhitungan mengenai perbandingan massa, kecepatan pancar gas, impuls total, kecepatan pancar gas efektif dan spesifik impuls pada berbagai ketinggian. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah Roket mencapai titik tertinggi (culmination point) di ketinggian 31.589,66 meter dalam waktu 178,13 detik setelah roket mulai diluncurkan. Bagian roket di ketinggian 17.772,49 meter dalam waktu 11.23 detik akan mengalami titik mati dan akan meluncur dengan kecepatan Voff sampai titik puncak (culmination point).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine between promotion and trust toward customer loyalty through customer satisfaction as mediating role. The population in this research is all TCash users in Semarang City. The numbers of sample in this research are 115 respondents by using incidental sampling. Path analysis is used for analyzing the research data using SPSS program version 21. The results findings are both promotion have a positive and significant on customer loyalty, and  trust have a positive and significant on customer loyalty, and customer satisfaction is able to mediate between promotion and trust in customer loyalty.

Abstract

Since the last decades of twentieth century, gender discourse has become a hot issue among Indonesian Muslim intellectuals. This phenomenon cannot be detached from international socio-intellectual constellation. In 1970?s, gender issue became a significant discourse in England. From then on, the discourse spread to many countries, including Indonesia. The result is that many Western perspectives on the issue inspired Muslim intellectuals. One of the influences is the using of terms such as ?domination?, ?sub-ordination?, and ?equality?. This article tries to describe how the perceptions of domination, sub-ordination, and equality emerged in Western culture. This is followed by examples of Muslim intellectuals? thoughts inspired by the perspective. Finally, the writer will provide a concept of relationship of man and woman based on an understanding on Qur?anic verses. It is argued that man and woman are equal in terms of quality. Yet, man and woman may differ if quantity is concerned.

Abstract

Islam as an unperceived religion from an essentialist perpective, beause it is transhistorical. The reality shows that the expression of Islam in one particular geographical context is a result of the interplays between Islamic teachings and local culture. This is a qualitative studyon Minangkabau customs and culture, with data collected by reviewing documents, both in the form of books, and articles. In addition, interviews were conducted with a number of Minang figures, and added to the Minang residents experiences. The results showed that the Minangkabau customs and culture had acculturated with Islam since it was introduced to the Minang region around the 8th century AD. Before its introduction, there were customs and cultures based on their habits. This acculturation occurs peacefully, therefore, the decisions of the traditional leaders do not cause turmoil and resistance from adat stakeholders in the region. Acculturation of Minang customs and culture with Islam takes the form of synthetism, while adat adapts to its teachings. When Islam with Minang customs and culture blend into one, changes occur in three forms. Firstly, when the custom is not in accordance with the Islamic teachings, it is adjusted, as illustrated in the Minang customary philosophy which reads, “Adat basandi alua jo patuik, alua jo patuik basandi bana, bana badiri sandirinyo” changed into “Adat basandi Syara’, Syara’ basandi Kitabullah”. Secondly, both customs and culture, which are in line with Islam remain preserved, such as the principle of deliberation (musyawarah) and consensus (mufakat). Thirdly, it led to the promulgation of Islam in a new culture that has not existed before, such as the Khatam Al-Qur’an ceremony for children.

Abstract

The research is aimed to figure out the comparison of the strength capacity and economic value comparison of castellated steel beam to its equivalent IWF beam. The profile of the castellated steel beam in this study included all profiles of castellated steel beam on the market based on the products catalog of the castellated steel beam from PT. Gunung Garuda. The finite element method was used in this study with the aid from Abaqus program to get a comparison of the strength capacity of castellated steel beam to its equivalent IWF beam. The next stage next involved the calculation of a comparison of the economic value of the castellated steel beam with hexagonal holes with to its equivalent IWF beam. The results of the study showed that the castellated steel beam experienced an increase in the strength capacity of 1,189 up to 2,330 times compared to its equivalent IWF beam. The comparison of the strength capacity between the castellated steel beam and its equivalent IWF beam is at 1,010 up to 1,539. Based on the combination between the comparison of strength capacity and the economic value, there are 14 (58.33%) profiles of the castellated steel beam which is categorized as efficient in terms of the design of the structure and cost, there are four (16.67%) profiles of the castellated steel beam which is categorized as efficient in terms of the design of the structure but not efficient in terms of cost, and there are 6 (25.00%) profiles of the castellated steel beam which is categorized as inefficient in terms of the design of the structure and cost. The results of this study indicate that the castellated steel beam can replace its equivalent IWF beam. Selection of profile of the castellated steel beam is appropriate to provide efficiency in terms of weight of the structure between 58.5% to 15.1% and can provide efficiency in terms of cost of between 48.4% to 0.9%.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is one kind of many cancer that cause death to women around the world. Many studies had support the statement that inflammation has a strong linkage with cancer development. Several factors like proinflammatory factor can influence tumor cell microenvironment, and induce a faster proliferation. TNF-α is suspected can induce proliferation. While cancer itself can induce inflammation, which is marked by several marker. One of them is HMGB1, released from the cell as active secretory lysosomes or passive diffusion. Genistein has demonstrated growth inhibitory effects of various types of cancer cells. It inhibits tyrosine kinase pathway, which can be activated by TNF-α. One of those pathways that have the link with proliferation is p38. This study tries to reveal about inhibitory effect of genistein toward p38 pathway that had been activated by TNF-α. This research was conducted by exposing cultured HeLa cells with various doses of genistein for 90 minutes, and then exposed to TNF - α 10 ng / mL for 20 minutes. Observations were made with a confocal microscope, by staining the cells with pp38-TRITC and HMGB1 antibody. The intensity was measured and analyzed by Fluoview software. The results suggest that there be significant differences between pp38 intranuclear intensity and HMGB1 extranuclear intensity of each dose of genistein (p = 0.000, ANOVA). pp38 and HMGB1 intensity were increased along with increasing genistein dose, but at high dose there were noted decreasing of pp38 and HMGB1 intensity. At apoptotic dose, pp38 and HMGB1 intensity were increased markedly, showing the effect of apoptosis. In general, increasing doses of genistein increase intranuclear p38 activation and HMGB1 extranuclear translocation. So there were a strong linkage between p38 activation and HMGB1 translocation in this study.

Abstract

Trangkil Housing Welfare and the New Trangkil - Sukorejo Village, District Gunungpati Semarang experiencing heavy rains triggered landslide Continuous Semarang City area since Wednesday (22/01/2014) until Thursday (01/23/2014). Successive landslides occurred early Thursday until 07.30. For 15 years Trangkil Sejahtera housing residents live, the worst avalanche of new events happening this time. Seven houses in Trangkil Sejahtera RT 3 RW 10 damaged by the landslide that occurred. While in New Trangkil Housing RT 6 RW 10, 32 houses were severely damaged and even some of them to the ground. The sliding slope in Housing Trangkil Sejahtera and Trangkil New - Village Sukorejo, District Gunungpati Semarang on January 23, 2014 is one of many landslide in a residential area in the district Gunungpati Semarang declared as landslide prone areas by the Directorate of Environmental Geology, Bandung. It is necessary for geotechnical evaluation to support the effectiveness of the slope reinforcement design selection, the necessary understanding of the physical and mechanical properties of soil based on soil test series. Barrow unfavorable, changes in land use, drainage systems are poorly integrated and rain triggered avalanches are the main factors causing the landslide. These four factors are interrelated core is Trangkil Sejahtera Housing Gunungpati Semarang infrastructure is not well prepared to anticipate landslides.Perumahan Trangkil Sejahtera dan Trangkil Baru – Kelurahan Sukorejo, Kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang mengalami kelongsoran yang dipicu hujan deras yang  terus mengguyur wilayah Kota Semarang sejak Rabu (22/1/2014) hingga Kamis (23/1/2014). Longsor secara beruntun terjadi Kamis dini hari sampai pukul 07.30. Selama 15 tahun Perumahan Trangkil Sejahtera ditinggali warga, peristiwa longsor terparah baru terjadi kali ini. Tujuh rumah di Trangkil Sejahtera RT 3 RW 10 rusak akibat kelongsoran yang terjadi. Sedangkan di Perumahan Trangkil Baru RT 6 RW 10, 32 rumah mengalami rusak parah bahkan beberapa di antaranya rata dengan tanah. Terjadinya kelongsoran lereng di Perumahan Trangkil Sejahtera dan Trangkil Baru – Kelurahan Sukorejo, Kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang pada tanggal 23 Januari 2014 merupakan satu dari sekian banyak kejadian longsor pada daerah pemukiman di Kecamatan Gunungpati Semarang yang dinyatakan sebagai daerah rawan longsor oleh Direktorat Geologi Tata Lingkungan, Bandung. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan evaluasi geoteknik untuk menunjang efektivitas pemilihan desain perkuatan lereng, diperlukan pemahaman tentang sifat fisik dan mekanis dari tanah berdasarkan serangkaian pengujian tanah. Timbunan tanah yang kurang baik, perubahan tata guna lahan, sistem drainase yang kurang terintegrasi dan terjadinya hujan pemicu longsoran adalah faktor utama penyebab terjadinya kelongsoran. Keempat faktor tersebut saling berkaitan yang intinya adalah Perumahan Trangkil Sejahtera Gunungpati Semarang tidak dipersiapkan secara baik infrastrukturnya untuk mengantisipasi bencana longsor.

Abstract

Concrete is a construction material that can withstand compressive strength well but to withstand tensile strength, these materials diras less perfect. To overcome this, it is given an additional piece of wire with a length of 4 cm bendrat the concrete mix. The addition of this wire as a fiber (fiber) is expected to increase the tensile strength sides, compressive strength and modulus of elasticity of concrete. From the test results obtained an increase in split tensile strength, compressive strength and modulus of elasticity. In tensile sides obtained an increase of 39.931% was achieved at a concentration of ± 5% fiber. In the compressive strength obtained an increase of 31.648% at a concentration of ± 7.5% and the modulus of elasticity of 25 670 MPa results obtained at a concentration of 7.5% ± fibers. Thus the use of wire bendrat can increase the strength of the concrete.Beton merupakan bahan konstruksi yang mampu menahan kuat tekan dengan baik namun untuk menahan kuat tarik, bahan ini diras kurang begitu sempurna. Untuk mengatasi hal itu maka diberikan tambahan potongan kawat bendrat dengan panjang 4 cm pada campuran beton. Penambahan kawat ini sebagai serat (fiber) yang diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kuat tarik belah, kuat tekan dan modulus elastisitas dari beton. Dari hasil pengujian didapatkan adanya peningkatan kuat tarik belah, kuat tekan dan modulus elastisitas. Pada kuat tarik belah didapatkan peningkatan sebesar 39,931% yang tercapai pada konsentrasi serat sebesar ± 5%. Pada kuat tekan didapatkan kenaikan sebesar 31,648% pada konsentrasi ± 7,5% dan pada modulus elastisitas didapatkan hasil sebesar 25670 Mpa pada konsentrasi serat ±7,5%. Dengan demikian penggunaan kawat bendrat dapat meningkatkan kekuatan pada beton.
