Abstract

This research aims to determine the effectiveness of ginger honey ale to children with acute respiration infection (ARI) cough saverity. The method of this research is a quasi-experimental approach with non-equivalent control group. This research was conducted in the working area of Rumbai health center to 52 coughing children with ARI. There population of this study are divided into experimental group with 26 children and the control group with 26 children. The sampling method was purposive sampling using a observation shee of cough saverity. Data analized with independent t test, the result show while in the control and eksperiment group without giving ginger honey ale obtained p-value (0,001) > α (0,05) it can be concluded there is difference in the control and eksperiment group without giving ginger honey ale . The results of this study recommends to giving honey ginger ale to be one of the nursing intervention in addressing the severity of cough in children with ARI. Abstract

Abstract Bullying is recognized as a serious issue in the lives of children in school. Bullying is negative behavior that cause inconvenience to someone. This research was aimed to obtain the correlation between the personality type and the group conformity with bullying behavior of the students of Junior High School PGRI Pekanbaru which was designed into descriptive correlation and cross sectional approach. There was 212 respondents as the samples of this research that were taken based on the inclusion’s criteria by using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used in this research was the questionnarre for the personality type variable, the group conformity variable, and the bullying behavior variable. The data analyses used were univariate analysis in case of obtaining the distribution of frequency and bivariate analysis by using Chi-Square test. The research of correlation between the personality type with bullying behavior showed P value = 0,017 < α = (0,05), so it could be concluded that there was a significant correlation between the personality type and bullying behavior of the students of junior high school PGRI Pekanbaru. The research of correlation between the group conformity with bullying behavior showed P value = 0,219 > α = (0,05), so it could be concluded that there was no significant correlation between the group conformity and bullying behavior of the students of Junior High School PGRI Pekanbaru. The research can be used as a base of information and increase knowledge about personality type, group conformity, and bullying behavior, as well as a reference to bullying behavior that was happening in the community especially of the students of junior High School PGRI Pekanbaru Key words             : Bullying behavior, group conformity, personality type,

Abstract

Sports activities or physical exercise is useful as a controlling blood sugar levels and weight loss inpeople with diabetes mellitus. This study aims to determine the factors associated with sportsactivities of people with diabetes mellitus. The design of this research is descriptive correlation andCross Sectional approach. The sample of this research was 47 respondents taken based on theinclusion criteria by using purposive sampling technique. The measuring tools used arequestionnaires that have been tested Valid and Reliabel. The analysis used is univariate analysis toknow the frequency distribution and bivariate to know the correlation (correlation) using Chi-Squaretest. The result of the research shows that there is a correlation of knowledge with sports activity ofdiabetes mellitus patient (p value 0.000 <α 0,05), no attitude relation with sport activity of diabetesmellitus patient (p value = 0.317> α 0,05) with activity of diabetes mellitus (p value = 0,114> α 0,05)and no relation of family support to sport activity of diabetes mellitus patient (p value = 0.359> α0,05). Based on this research, it is suggested to people with diabetes mellitus to be able to increasetheir knowledge about the importance of sports activity in the management of diabetes mellitus and tohealth center as health facility to provide continuous information about sport activity and to makesport activity program useful in diabetes mellitus management.Keywords: Diabetes mellitus, related factors, sports activities

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic desease which is identified by hyperglycemia condition and may increase the risk of microvascular and macrovascular complications due to neuropathy. The purpose of this research was to identify and analyze the grade of diabetic foot ulcer based on Meggitt-Wagner system towards the diabetes mellitus sufferers who got diabetic foot ulcer in hospitalization in RSUD Arifin Achmad hospital. The methode of this research was observational analitic with cross sectional design. The samples was taken by total sampling. This study observed a number of 37 diabetic patient in hospitalization with diabetic foot ulcer. There were 37 patient in hospitalization with diabetic foot ulcer in RSUD Arifin Achmad hospital on July 2018. Observation was to identifiy dan analyze grade of diabetic foot ulcer based on characteristic of Meggitt-Wagner system. The result showed majority characteristics of respondents of diabetic foot ulcer were female 26 (70,3%), 56-65 yeras old 17 (45,9%), and duration of history of diabetic less than 5 years 15 (40,5%). The Result of identification and analysis grade of diabetic foot ulcer showed that majority were in the grade 1 with superficial wounds characteristic. Recommended for patients to controll blood glucose and treat wounds and feet to preventing advanced complications. Abstract

Supervisor Swallowing Medicine was important role in increased medication adherence. The family was closest unit to the patient and biggest motivator for treatment behavior of patients with pulmonary TB. The attention and supported Supervisor Swallowing Medicine family in supervising and reminding suffered to take medicine can improved degree of patient compliance. This can be influenced by Supervisor Swallowing Medicine knowledge of pulmonary TB and counseling families. This studied aims to determine the relationship level of Supervisor Swallowing Medicine knowledge with the success of pulmonary TB treatment in the area Harapan Raya Health Center Pekanbaru Work Area. The studied used quantitative approached with a descriptive retrospective correlation research design. Research activitied began from August-December 2019. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The researched sample was Supervisor Swallowing Medicine of TB patients in the working area of Harapan Raya Health Center as many as 30 respondents. Bivariate resulted obtained from 30 respondents data obtained 24 respondents (80%) have high Supervisor Swallowing Medicine knowledge and 6 respondents (20%) have low Supervisor Swallowing Medicine knowledge. Of the 24 respondents who had high Supervisor Swallowing Medicine knowledge, there were 24 respondents (100%) who were successful in the treatment of pulmonary TB, while from 6 respondents who had low Supervisor Swallowing Medicine knowledge there were 3 respondents (50%) who were not successful in the treatment of pulmonary TB. The results of bivariate analysis with chi square obtained p value = 0,000 <(α = 0.005), concluded that there was a relationship between the level of Supervisor Swallowing Medicine knowledge and the success of pulmonary TB treatment in the working area of the Harapan Raya Health Center in Pekanbaru. It is recommended to nurses to provide health education to improve Supervisor Swallowing Medicine knowledge. Abstract

Students are individuals who tend to have poor sleep quality, so that it needs immediate treatment. Among the nonpharmacological treatments is low-impact aerobic exercise. The purpose of this research is to know the effectiveness of low-impact aerobic exercise on improving student sleep quality. Quasi-experimental were used in this study using a non-equivalent control group approach. Samples were 34 respondents (divided equally into2 groups) recruited using a purposive sampling technique.The experimental group was given intervention for 60 minutes per day, while the control group was not given any treatment. The data analysis used was univariate analysis to see frequency and bivariate analysis with dependent t test and the wilcoxon alternative test.The result of statistical tests show that there is a significant difference of sleep quality before and after the intervention with p value 0,000 (<0,05). The result showed that the low-impact aerobic exercise can improve sleep quality in students. The results of this study can be used as a reference for using low impact aerobic exercise as an alternative in resolving sleep quality disturbances in students. Abstract

Introduction: The physical environment of the school is everything that is in it. The conditions of the components of the physical environment of the school can cause health and safety problems to children. This study aims to identify a picture of the physical environment of early childhood education (PAUD) schools in the kemuning sub-district, indragiri downstream district with a descriptive research design. Methods: The sample in this study were 27 respondents, namely all early childhood education in kemuning sub-districts which were taken based on inclusion criteria using total sampling technique. The measuring instrument used was a questionnaire with observations of the physical environment which consisted of 12 categories. The analysis used was univariate analysis. Results: The results of the observational study found that several schools paid less attention to school health and safety, such as a leaky roof, no ventilation, no ceiling, windows but never opened, dirty and dusty floors, uneven walls, sanitary conditions inadequate and the page has sharp objects. Class roof category that met the requirements (88.9%), class ventilation that met the requirements (77,8%), class floors that met the requirements (96,3%), lighting that met the requirements (85.2%), class walls that meet the requirements (77.8%), class windows that meet the requirements (44.4%), room temperature that meets the requirements (88.9%), class ceilings that meet the requirements (66,7%), physical conditions of water that meet the requirements (96.3%), toileting that meets the requirements (66,7%), washing places that meet the requirements (51,9%) and pages that meet the requirements (96,3%). Conclusion: Can investigate this lesson to schools, because the physical environment of PAUD is the responsibility of the supervisor, so that environmental prevention can be managed properly.Keywords: Overview, physical environment, (PAUD).

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research is to identify the reationship between cadre performance of elderly posyandu and elder motivation to visit Elderly Posyandu. Research method used in this research is corellation descriptive with cross sectional design. This research was conducted in the Technical Implementing Service Mangement Department (UPTD) health clinic of Koto Baru, Singingi district Kuantan Singing Regency. Sampling method used in this research was proposive sampling. The measuring instrument was a questionnaire which has tested validity and reliability. Analysis methods used were univariate and bivariate with Chi-Square test. The result of Chi-Square test was, p value = 0.209, showed that p value > α 0.05, therefore it can be concluded that Ho is rejected, so then the researcher can summed up that there is no relationship between cadre performance of elderly posyandu and elder motivation to visit elderly posyandu. The result of this research is expected that it can be an input to any relevant institutions, particularly The UPTD health clinic of Koto Baru to plan programmes to raise awareness on the urgency of elderly posyandu for elders as health services to undertake health examination, such as mental status, nutrition satus, and physical health on a regular basis, so then it can be detected early in case of there is health problem.   Key words : Cadre Performance of Elderly Posyandu, Elder Motivation

Abstract

Introduction: Recently, oral chemotherapy has become a popular treatment modality in the treatment of cancer. However, cancer patients and their family members show to have limited knowledge on the use of oral chemotherapy safely. Objectives: The objective of the study was to explore the life experiences of breast cancer patients undergoing oral chemotherapy. Methods: A purposeful sample strategy of 3 survivors was used to gather data using semi-structured interviews. Collaizzi’s method was selected for data analysis. Results: Six major themes emerged that described the life of experiences of the patients including knowledge of oral chemotherapy, the participant’s feelings, side effects of oral chemotherapy, coping mechanisms, support system, and expectation to nurse. Participants noted that they received less information regarding their treatment, which limited them to providing appropriate care for themselves. Conclusions: It is important for nurses to give more attention and tailored education regarding oral chemotherapy, which will improve their knowledge and increase their adherence to chemotherapy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran upaya mahasiswa Profesi Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Riau terhadap pencegahan flebitis pada pasien anak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian jenis kuantitatif dengan desain deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Riau. Penelitian ini dimulai dari bulan Februari sampai dengan bulan Juli. Pemilihan sampel mengggunkan metode purposive sampling yang memiliki kriteria inklusi yaitu membuat resonden dan sedang melakukan studi profesi di Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Riau. Mahasiswa profesi memiliki presentase upaya pencegahan flebitis secara umum yang tinggi pada pemilihan lokasi penusukan (85,3%) dan terendah pada penggatian balutan infus setiap hari (11,9%).
