Abstract

The purpose of implementing this community service is to strengthen community empowerment based on sociopreneurship through local potential to become superior innovation products towards SDGs. The location of the service was carried out in Salinggoha Village which is located in Walea Besar District, Tojo Una-una Regency, Central Sulawesi Province. The method used is based on sociopreneurship, which is a business whose concept originates from social issues in the community through: (1) increasing awareness/attitude, insight/knowledge and community skills, (2) creating superior products and village innovation products that can help the community's economy, and (3) empowerment regarding the importance of forming MSME groups in advancing the village economy. The results of this community service activity are 1) Main Product of Coconut Oil Village, Salinggoha Village Originality, 2) Featured Product of Shredded Fish Typical of Salinggoha, and 3) Product Innovation of Crispy Banana  Blossom Chips. It is our hope that in the future the knowledge that we provide to the community can be well received and applied by the community so that later it can bring Salinggoha Village to a better direction.

Abstract

Potensi unggulan desa Bongopini adalah pertanian yang selama ini menjadi primadona dan menjadi tumpuan ekonomi masyarakat serta dikenal sebagai salah satu desa lumbung padi, potensi baru yang perlu dikembangkan adalah peternakan ayam dan budidaya ikan nila. Permasalahan yang dialami desa Bongopini adalah 1) Minimnya minat pemuda untuk berperan dalam pertanian, 2) Kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat dan pemuda untuk mengatasi masalah pertanian, 3) Menurunnya produksi padi. Tujuan dari program PPK “Sanggar Tani Muda” adalah 1) Terbentuknya bengkel tani bagi pemuda untuk mengaktualisasikan kreativitas dan inovasi sebagai pembelajaran non formal untuk mewujudkan pembangunan desa berkelanjutan (SDGs), 2) Melatih petani muda dalam memanfaatkan sumber daya lokal yang murah seperti pembuatan pakan. 3) Adanya inisiasi penguatan kompetensi iptek bagi petani muda. Metode pengabdiannya adalah pemberdayaan pemuda dalam mengembangkan pertanian melalui pendirian Sanggar Tani sebagai wadah komunikasi dan layanan iptek bagi petani muda agar eksis dalam bercocok tanam. Sistem minapadi ini layak untuk dikembangkan karena efisien dan menguntungkan. Hasil kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh tim PPK ORMAWA HMTI adalah 1) Terbentuknya kelompok tani muda (100%), 2) Terlaksananya program Longyam Minapadi (100%), 3) Pelatihan keterampilan bengkel tani muda (100%), 4) Pedoman pendidikan formal nonformal (85%). The superior potential of Bongopini village is agriculture which has been the prima donna and is the economic foundation of the community and is known as one of the rice barn villages, new potentials that need to be developed are chicken farming and tilapia cultivation. The problems experienced by the village of Bongopini are 1) The lack of interest from youth to play a role in agriculture, 2) Lack of knowledge of the community and youth to overcome agricultural problems, 3) Decreased rice production. The objectives of the KDP program "Sanggar Tani Muda" are 1) Establishment of a farmer's workshop for youth to actualize creativity and innovation as non-formal learning to realize sustainable village development (SDGs), 2) Train young farmers in utilizing cheap local resources such as making feed. 3) There is an initiation of strengthening science and technology competencies for young farmers. The method of service is empowering youth in developing agriculture through the establishment of a Farmer's Studio as a forum for communication and science and technology services for young farmers to exist in farming. The results of the activities carried out by the PPK ORMAWA HMTI team are 1) Formation of a young farmer workshop group (100%), 2) Implementation of the Longyam Minapadi program (100%), 3) skills training for youth farmer workshops (100%), 4) non-formal education guidelines formal (85%).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of online learning on the employability skills of students of the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Gorontalo. The method used in this study is a quantitative correlational method. Correlation research is research that aims to determine whether there is a relationship between two or more variables. In this study, data processing was carried out using SPSS version 25.0. The sample of this research was 177 students from class of 2017, Faculty of Engineering, State University of Gorontalo. Research data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Analysis prerequisite tests include normality tests, linearity tests, and multicollinearity tests. Hypothesis testing includes simple regression analysis. The results of the study show: There is a significant effect of online learning on the employability skills of students of the Faculty of Engineering, State University of Gorontalo by 2.8%.

Abstract

Hasil kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh tim PPK ORMAWA HMTI adalah: (1) pembentukan kelompok lokakarya petani muda (100%), (2) implementasi program Longyam Minapadi (100%), (3) pelatihan keterampilan lokakarya petani muda (100%), dan (4) pedoman pendidikan nonformal formal (85%).

Abstract

Efek dan bahaya merkuri bagi kehidupan sehari-hari manusia akan memberi dampak negatif bagi tubuh, termasuk bagi para pekerja migran Indonesia (PMI). Oleh sebab itu, perlu untuk diedukasikan kepada para PMI secara individu maupun kelompok-kelompok pekerja Indonesia khususnya di daerah yang memiliki jumlah PMI yang banyak seperti di wilayah Johor Bahru, Malaysia. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meminimalkan risiko dampak akibat paparan hingga penggunaan merkuri dalam kehidupan sehari-hari bagi PMI. Hasil dari pengabdian yang dilakukan oleh tim ini adalah terbentuknya awareness dari para PMI tentang bahaya dan risiko dari merkuri yang rentan dialami oleh para PMI di wilayah Johor Bahru. Selain itu, para PMI juga berkomitmen untuk menjadi perantara informasi tentang bahaya dan risiko dari merkuri ini yang akan disampaikan kepada para PMI lainnya. Langkah ini juga didukung oleh KJRI Johor Bahru yang membuka layanan pengaduan terkait dengan bahaya dan risiko merkuri yang dialami oleh para PMI sekaligus juga para Tim Pengabdian membuka ruang terhadap diskusi interaktif lanjutan menggunakan perangkat teknologi berbasis internet bagi para PMI yang meraskan dampak atau berkeinginan menelaah lebih dalam tentang persoalan merkuri dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

Indonesia, as an archipelagic nation, requires an efficient transportation system to support economic mobility and tourism. Djalaludin Airport in Gorontalo plays a pivotal role in facilitating economic and tourism activities within Gorontalo Province. Airport management, involving operators and service users, aims to deliver high-quality services. However, some service aspects still fall short, particularly in physical facility comfort and process efficiency. This study seeks to identify service attributes that need improvement to enhance overall service quality. A quantitative approach was employed, utilizing SERVQUAL analysis based on five dimensions: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using a gap method to measure discrepancies between passenger expectations and perceptions. Attribute prioritization was conducted using Fuzzy AHP to identify key areas for improvement, followed by a fishbone analysis to uncover root causes of the identified issues. The results indicate a service conformity level of 87.61%, but notable negative gaps remain in key attributes, such as air circulation comfort in waiting areas and baggage claim efficiency. Recommendations include increasing air conditioning capacity and optimizing conveyor systems to expedite baggage handling. Improving these core attributes suggests that enhancing service quality at Djalaludin Airport will boost passenger satisfaction and loyalty while supporting sustainable growth in air transportation and tourism sectors in Gorontalo Province.

Abstract

Fiscal decentralisation is the basic capital to reach better governance, regional development, and fiscal autonomy. This paper discusses financial management barriers and opportunities in the Gorontalo Province, a region with low fiscal autonomy, as shown by its index and heavy dependency on central government transfer. This qualitative research, using data from interviews and document studies, found various inefficiencies in the province, such as incongruence between expenditures and revenues, lack of coordination among stakeholders, non-compliance by taxpayers, and delays in financial reporting. Drawing on the theoretical work of Schick (1998) for a framework for public expenditure management and using empirical evidence, this paper proposes an integrated strategy toward a better fiscal management system, diversification of revenue sources, enhancements in planning techniques, introduction of comprehensive accounting mechanisms, and stakeholder participation. This paper contributes to the debate on fiscal decentralisation by giving practical suggestions on how to achieve fiscal autonomy and promote sustainable development in economically less-developed regions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis kinerja Polahi Adventure Gorontalo, sebuah usaha penyewaan dan penjualan alat kemping, menggunakan metode Objective Matrix (OMAX). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa efisiensi operasional perusahaan berada pada tingkat yang cukup baik dengan skor total mencapai 495 dari 1000. Namun, indikator produktivitas tercatat sebesar 65%, mengindikasikan adanya ruang untuk perbaikan. Kriteria yang dianalisis meliputi kecepatan pelayanan, keterlambatan, panjang antrian, waktu tunggu, absensi, dan keluhan. Waktu tunggu dan tingkat absensi menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pelayanan, dengan total skor masing-masing 28.00 dan 21.00. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan efisiensi waktu tunggu dan pengurangan tingkat absensi menjadi prioritas utama. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan dan penerapan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP) yang komprehensif untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas operasional. Dengan adanya SOP yang jelas, Polahi Adventure Gorontalo diharapkan dapat mengurangi ketidakefisienan dalam proses operasional dan meningkatkan kualitas layanan kepada pelanggan. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting terhadap pemahaman faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja perusahaan penyewaan alat kemping di Gorontalo dan dapat menjadi acuan bagi perusahaan sejenis dalam merumuskan strategi yang lebih efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze employee perceptions regarding the approach of Reinventing Organizational Behavior Management at the Higher Education Service Institution (LLDIKTI), specifically in Region XVI. The research data was collected through interviews and observations and analyzed using an interactive model. The findings indicate that employee participation in the decision-making process within the LLDIKTI Region XVI work environment remains uneven. The study found that leadership figures, such as the Head of LLDIKTI Region XVI and Team Leaders, primarily control the decision-making process within LLDIKTI Region XVI. This results in lower-level staff merely accepting decisions that have already been made. While this approach may be more efficient in terms of time, it could significantly impact employees' perceptions of their roles if it continues over an extended period. Employees may develop sentiments of being undervalued or excluded from the formulation of policies, potentially leading to a decline in their motivation to contribute to the organization's goals. This, in turn, may result in apathy among employees, consequently hindering the organization's performance and preventing it from achieving its intended objectives. Increasing employee participation in decision-making would provide various stakeholders opportunities to contribute and assume responsibility for achieving organizational goals, thereby fostering a more engaged and accountable workforce.
