Abstract

A fast-food restaurant, commonly known as a quick-service restaurant (QSR) in the business, is a type of eatery that specializes in fast food and offers limited table service. In the food sector, customer satisfaction and good feedback are the most important thing. Each company also has its main power source to maintain business. The goal of this study is to find how service quality can affect customer satisfaction. This study used a service quality model which is Servqual as a guide in determining customer satisfaction. The researchers chose Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Restaurant in Malaysia for this case study. KFC Restaurant has many competitors in the fast-food restaurant industry. The solution to these issues is to develop ways to increase service quality and customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The sustainable competitive advantage of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in creative industry could be demonstrated through the innovation capabilities. In knowledge management literature, knowledge sharing is the key effort to develop innovation capabilities. There are two contrasting theories of Knowledge sharing, Szulanski's (1996) theory assumes a knowledge sharing process is 'sticky' and ambiguous, while Nelson (1981) considered knowledge sharing to be an automatic process in an organization. This study arguing, employee fit will make impact on trust is a relatively new idea to bridging the two contrasting theories. Through the study, it was found that in order to develop the innovation capabilities of SMEs in the creative industry, knowledge sharing is needed, where trust is a crucial factor in knowledge sharing literature. However, building trust is not a simple matter, it assumed that the theory of employee fit (person job fit and person organization fit) can be useful to build trust in the organization. The results of this literature study can be concluded that the model of SMEs in creative industry innovation capabilities followed by employees fit with the competencies required by the company and the individuals value with corporate values. From employee fit, it were expected to facilitate trust in the company which in turn can be useful for knowledge sharing to develop innovation capabilities. Abstract

Shopping in the consumer retail business is often driven by the lifestyle they live. According to Lastovicka and Joachimsthaler (1988) a person's lifestyle is related to how a person lives, how they spend their money, and how they use their time in daily life which is expressed through activities, interests, and opinions (opinions) in question. As mentioned earlier consumer behavior is also influenced by lifestyle. Therefore, a good knowledge of the consumer lifestyle is important to be known by business people because it is able to provide information about what products should be offered, product innovation, promotions, and so on. The research was conducted in areas that have many retail businesses, especially modern retailers such as Malalayang, Paal 2, Boulevard, and the area around the Airport. Samples were drawn by purposive sampling method. The data collected was 96 respondents. Data were analyzed by multiple regression with SPSS version 20 software. The results showed that lifestyle simultaneously had a positive and significant effect on consumer decisions in choosing a retail business in the city of Manado. Similar results are also shown in each dimension of lifestyle, namely activity, interest and opinion have a significant influence on consumer decisions in choosing a retail business.

The results of this study can be concluded that the SMEs in creative industry innovation capabilities directly influenced by employees fit. The employee fit also significant influenced on trust, and as expected trust strongly influenced knowledge sharing dimensions (knowledge donating and knowledge collecting. Surprisingly, knowledge sharing dimensions did not influence on innovation capabilities as expected before. The possibility reason, that knowledge sharing dimensions could not make any significant effect due of the concept of innovation funnel and absorptive capacity, which explained that, the more knowledge could achieved, the less knowledge could absorb. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explore the social perceptions of the millennial generation in implementing the adaptation of new habits during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted using descriptive quantitative research methods. The online survey was selected using the google form application. The data were taken from 400 respondents of State Higher Education (PTN) students in North Sulawesi as representatives of the millennial generation. The google form application is used to distribute questionnaires to target respondents. From the results of this survey, it can be explained that when the COVID-19 pandemic in the North Sulawesi millennial generation responded by perceiving several things that had been conveyed. Millennial generation respondents indicate that the level of millennial optimism for the sustainability of this life is well felt. Respondents positively respond to an optimistic attitude that routine millennial activities can still be carried out during the Covid-19 pandemic. Millennials in North Sulawesi also believe that the central and local governments can handle this pandemic.

Abstract

Student entrepreneurship program at the Universitas Negeri Manado one of them, namely in the context of forging workshop is beneficial for students to develop specialized knowledge and technical skills. The purpose of this study was to determine the role of student entrepreneurship program to the success of the workshop in the field of found the idea and generate it. The research method used was a qualitative study which is located in the Faculty of Economics UNIMA. Data collection was through interviews with key informants consisting of UNIMA Faculty of economics, The results showed that the success of the Student Entrepreneurial Program Faculty Workshop UNIMA seen this workshop graduates have been successful in helping students become new entrepreneurs as seen from some students or graduates who have attended workshops known to have small-scale entrepreneurship. Students (graduate/ undergraduate) who have completed the workshop greatly from the student entrepreneurship program and the holding of student entrepreneurship training through workshops Faculty Economics UNIMA. With the holding of this workshop is to make graduates equipped to entrepreneurship because with the provision of these skills allow them to open a business or business-related fields of knowledge gained from the training in the workshop The conclusion of the research workshop training is one method that is helping students to acquire skills that can be used to entrepreneurship. Suggestion that students need continuous training in order to increase expertise in the field of well logging techniques, electronics,machinery, and other technical expertise. Abstract

This study examines the capital structure based on dynamic trade-off theory in property, real estate, and construction building companies in Indonesia. We have used a data panel from 17 companies over the years 2018 to 2021. There are two stages of testing in this study. First, we estimate the target leverage using Random Effect Model and then find the capital structure adjustment speed using Fixed Effect Model. The results of this study prove that profitability has a negative and significant effect on the company's capital structure, firm size has a positive and significant effect on the company's capital structure, while growth does not influence it. This study also revealed that property, real estate, and construction building companies in Indonesia adjusted their capital structure toward optimal capital structure, where the adjustment speed was 25% per year or took 4 years to achieve their optimal capital structure. This study suggests government policies encouraging people's purchasing power to support economic recovery. Keywords: Capital Structure, Dynamic Trade-Off Theory, Firm Size, Growth, Profitability, Speed of Adjustment.

Abstract

This study analyses the influence of entrepreneurship education and family background on entrepreneurial interests. The sample of this study is 6th-semester students, Faculty of Economics and Business, Manado State University, who have received entrepreneurship classes. A total of fifty respondents answered the questionnaire thoroughly. Multiple linear regression tests were carried out to prove the hypothesis obtained from the review literature. Based on the research and discussion results, it can be concluded that the factor of entrepreneurship education influences interest in entrepreneurship. In contrast, the family background factor does not influence the Interest in entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, simultaneously entrepreneurial education and family background affect entrepreneurial Interest. It is undeniable that the COVID-19 pandemic had weakened the Indonesian economy, but not with Interest in entrepreneurship. Looking at the result of research that found that entrepreneurship education influences the Interest in entrepreneurship for students, it is necessary to pay more attention to lectures on entrepreneurship, and a better program can be developed. Keywords: Entrepreneurial Education, Entrepreneurial Interest, Family Background, Manado State University, Multiple Linear Regression.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) Mengembangkan Media Pembelajaran Berbasis Komik Digital untuk meningkatkan Kemampuan Literasi peserta didik, (2) Meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Ekonomi. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4D meliputi empat tahap yaitu Define, Design, Development and Dissemination. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas 9B yang ada di SMP N 4 Tondano. Pada tahap awal pengembangan Define dimulai dengan mengidentifikasi masalah dan analisis kebutuhan dari peserta didik yang dilakukan peneliti untuk mengkaji keadaan di sekolah khususnya di kelas subjek penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa pengembangan media pembelajaran berupa Komik Digital sangat dibutuhkan. Pendefinisian yang akan dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah pemetaan kebutuhan belajar peserta didik. Dalam hal ini peneliti akan melakukan studi pendahuluan melalui wawancara dan penyebaran angket. Abstract

Abstract. Retirement usually occurs in the age range of 55–65, depending on the type of job. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it may not be adequate to measure retirement only by age because many employees were forced to retire early. Thus, the issue of retirement planning has once again become a relevant issue to discuss. Most previous studies explain that retirement planning uses the theory of planned behavior, but unlike these, this study approaches retirement planning with the knowledge-based view theory. The theory of knowledge-based view can explain knowledge as a fundamental resource for an individual’s ability to plan retirement. Data was collected for this study from a survey for employees and professionals in Indonesia and was analyzed with PLS-SEM. Empirical evidence showed that knowledge sharing actually weakens the influence of family financial education on retirement planning. Therefore, it can be concluded that knowledge sharing cannot strengthen family education to make better retirement planning. This study also revealed the possibility that knowledge sharing could change employee retirement planning into other financial plans that are also beneficial for retirement.Keywords: Retirement planning; theory planned behavior; knowledge-based view; knowledge sharing; financial planning Abstrak. Pensiun biasanya diukur berdasarkan usia, dalam rentang usia 55-65 tahun, tergantung pada jenis pekerjaannya. Namun, di masa pandemi Covid-19, masa pensiun mungkin tidak lagi cukup diukur dengan hanya berdasarkan usia. Hal itu dikarenakan banyak karyawan yang terpaksa pensiun dini selama pandemi.  Dengan demikian pada masa pandemi isu perencanaan pensiun sekali lagi menjadi masalah yang menarik untuk didiskusikan. Sebagian besar penelitian sebelumnya menjelaskan perencanaan pensiun menggunakan dasar theory planned behavior (TPB), namun berbeda dengan banyak penelitian sebelumnya, dalam penelitian ini perencanaan pensiun didekati dengan teori knowledge-based view theory (KBV). Teori KBV diasumsikan bisa menjelaskan pengetahuan sebagai sumber daya mendasar bagi kemampuan individu untuk membuat perencanaan pensiun. Dalam survei yang dilakukan terhadap karyawan dan profesional di Indonesia. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis dengan PLS-SEM. Bukti empiris menunjukkan bahwa berbagi pengetahuan justru melemahkan pengaruh antara pendidikan keuangan keluarga terhadap perencanaan pensiun. Oleh karena itu, dapat disimpulkan bahwa berbagi pengetahuan tidak bisa menguatkan pendidikan keluarga untuk membuat perencanaan pensiun yang lebih baik. Dalam penelitian ini juga diungkapkan adanya kemungkinan bahwa berbagi pengetahuan dapat membuat perubahan pada perencanaan pensiun karyawan menjadi rencana keuangan lainnya yang bermanfaat juga bagi masa pensiun, dimungkinkan untuk membuat perubahan dalam perencanaan pensiun menjadi bentuk lain dari perencanaan keuangan.Kata kunci: Perencanaan pensiun; theory planned behavior; knowledge-based view; berbagi pengetahuan; perencanaan keuangan
