Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) dalam pembelajaran ekosistem laut di sekolah dasar. Model PjBL dipilih untuk meningkatkan keaktifan, keterlibatan, serta rasa ingin tahu siswa terhadap isu-isu lingkungan, khususnya ekosistem laut. Kegiatan pembelajaran dirancang dalam bentuk proyek yang menekankan pada eksplorasi nyata, kerja sama kelompok, dan penyelesaian masalah berbasis kontekstual. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PjBL mampu menumbuhkan kesadaran siswa terhadap pentingnya menjaga ekosistem laut, meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan membangun keterampilan komunikasi serta kolaborasi. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran berbasis proyek menjadi pendekatan yang efektif dan relevan dalam membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan sejak usia dini.

Abstract

Sungai merupakan salah satu ekosistem air tawar yang vital bagi kehidupan manusia, flora, dan fauna. Namun, dalam beberapa dekade terakhir, sungai-sungai di Indonesia menghadapi tekanan serius akibat pencemaran limbah rumah tangga, industri, dan aktivitas manusia lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dampak kebiasaan membuang sampah sembarangan ke sungai terhadap kualitas ekosistem air tawar, serta merumuskan strategi penyelamatan yang melibatkan pendekatan pendidikan lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi langsung, wawancara dengan masyarakat sekitar sungai, serta analisis dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pencemaran sungai menyebabkan penurunan kualitas air, kematian biota air, dan gangguan ekosistem jangka panjang. Selain itu, rendahnya kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga sungai menjadi faktor utama terjadinya pencemaran. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan pendekatan edukatif yang berkelanjutan melalui kolaborasi antara sekolah, masyarakat, dan pemerintah untuk membentuk perilaku ramah lingkungan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa sungai bukan tempat sampah, melainkan habitat penting yang harus dijaga demi keberlanjutan lingkungan hidup kita.

Abstract

Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk memahami fenomena secara mendalam melalui analisis data. Perorehan data melalui wawancara, observasi, atau dokumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi tentang anak pendidikan anak inklusif dan peningkatan partisipati sosialnya. Selama ini, sebagian orang tua yang memiliki anak berkebutuhan khusus kerap menyekolahkan anaknya di sekolah luar biasa atau Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB). Hal ini dikarenakan metode pembelajaran di SLB memang dirancang dan disesuaikan dengan anak berkebutuhan khusus. SLB bukan satu-satunya pilihan bagi anak berkebutuhan khusus. Anak berkebutuhan khusus juga dapat mengenyam pendidikan di sekolah inklusif, Pemerintah telah mencanangkan program sekolah inklusif agar anak berkebutuhan khusus tetap bisa mendapatkan haknya untuk mendapatkan pendidikan wajib selama 9 tahun. Anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus dapat belajar bersama dengan anak-anak normal lainnya. Sistem pembelajaran, pengajaran, kurikulum, sarana dan prasarana, serta sistem penilaian pada sekolah inklusif akan mengakomodasi kebutuhan anak penyandang disabilitas, sehingga mereka dapat beradaptasi dan memperoleh pendidikan sebaik-baiknya. Partisipasi Sosial Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) adalah pelibatan anak berkebutuhan khusus dalam berbagai kegiatan sosial dan kehidupan bermasyarakat, baik di lingkungan sekolah, keluarga, maupun masyarakat pada umumnya.

Abstract

Science learning in elementary schools requires a concrete, engaging, and student-centered learning process that aligns with students’ characteristics. One of the science topics that requires conceptual understanding is the characteristics of living things. The use of instructional videos serves as an effective alternative learning medium because it presents moving images and audio that support students’ understanding. This article aims to examine the use of instructional videos in teaching the characteristics of living things and their implementation in elementary school science learning. The method used in this study is a literature review by analyzing various relevant sources, including books and journal articles. The results of the review indicate that the use of instructional videos can increase students’ learning interest, conceptual understanding, and active participation in science learning. Therefore, instructional videos can be utilized as an effective supporting medium in elementary school science education

Abstract

Inclusive education grounded in multicultural values plays a crucial role in providing equitable, child-friendly, and diversity-responsive educational services. This study seeks to examine the role of nature-based schools in implementing inclusive education founded on multicultural values at Islamic Orbit School (iOS) Aceh Besar. A qualitative approach with a case study design was employed in this research. The participants involved the school principal, teachers, inclusion facilitators, and students. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis followed the stages of data reduction, data organization, and conclusion drawing, while the trustworthiness of the data was ensured through source and methodological triangulation. The findings indicate that Islamic Orbit School plays a significant role in fostering inclusive education through the implementation of a curriculum based on the Qur’an and children’s innate potential (fitrah), the development of a child-friendly school environment, and the use of nature-based learning as an instructional approach. Multicultural values cultivated in the learning process include respect for diversity, tolerance, empathy, and collaboration among students, including those with special educational needs. This study concludes that nature-based schools have strong potential to serve as a contextual and meaningful model for integrating inclusive education with multicultural values.

Abstract

Indonesia is a multicultural country characterized by diverse cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and religious backgrounds, requiring an inclusive educational approach to promote tolerance and social harmony. This study aims to describe the implementation of multicultural education based on Acehnese local culture and to identify challenges in its application at SDQU Al-Muyassar. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving the school principal, teachers, and students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using interactive qualitative data analysis, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that multicultural education has been implemented through daily school practices, teacher role modeling, and learning activities emphasizing values of tolerance, mutual respect, deliberation, and togetherness rooted in Acehnese local culture. However, the implementation remains largely implicit and has not been systematically integrated into formal lesson planning. Challenges include limited pedagogical strategies, the influence of globalization on students’ cultural orientation, and the underutilization of local cultural resources. This study concludes that Acehnese local culture–based multicultural education has strong potential to enhance students’ tolerance when supported by systematic planning and teacher competence.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the rainbow practicum as an effort to strengthen science process skills in Natural Science (IPA) learning at Sekolah Alam Islamic Orbit School Aceh Besar. Science process skills are essential in developing students’ scientific thinking, critical reasoning, and problem-solving abilities. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving elementary school students learning the topic of light. Data were collected through observations of student activities during the practicum, learning documentation, and teachers’ reflective notes, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the rainbow practicum effectively strengthens students’ science process skills, particularly in observing, classifying, interpreting data, and drawing conclusions. This nature-based practicum also increases students’ active participation and enthusiasm in learning. Furthermore, it helps students understand light concepts more concretely, fosters scientific attitudes, and connects science concepts to everyday phenomena. Therefore, the rainbow practicum is an effective and contextual alternative strategy for science learning in nature-based school environments.

Abstract

Inclusive education requires assessment tools that are appropriate to the characteristics of students with special needs, particularly students with intellectual disabilities. This study aimed to develop a summative assessment book that is valid, practical, and effective in improving the learning outcomes of students with special needs in Grade II at SDN 24 Banda Aceh. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects were Grade II students with intellectual disabilities at SDN 24 Banda Aceh. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results indicated that the developed summative assessment book was categorized as highly valid, highly practical, and effective in improving students’ learning outcomes. Therefore, the summative assessment book is feasible for use as an evaluation tool for students with intellectual disabilities in inclusive elementary schools.
