Abstract

High levels of phosphate in waters, the majority of which comes from domestic liquid waste containing detergents. To overcome pollution arising from domestic liquid wastewater, wastewater treatment is absolutely necessary. The urgency of this research is very important in that an environmental mitigation engineering system is sought, so that it can reduce or even eliminate these pollutants if possible. The waste processing technique using plants is known as phytoremediation. Phytoremediation using water hyacinth plants. The analytical method in this study used a completely randomized design (RAL) where each treatment was repeated three times with an additive linear model for a two-factor factorial design with an environmental design in the form of RAL which was analyzed using the SPSS program. If the results of the analysis of variance show an F-count value > Ftable 0.5, a further test is carried out using the Tukey further test (honest significant difference). The results of this research were that the pH value was 6.9, close to the normal pH of water, and the temperature was around 26-25 0C. The BOD level decreased further over 7 days. Phosphate levels also experienced changes in concentration levels which decreased on day 7. The TSS value increased greatly. The TSS value greatly increased the yield and the color changed to cloudy brown.

Abstract

Biology, one of the fields taught in schools, is sometimes a bit difficult to convey. In biology lessons, illustrations are needed for several topics, such as body physiology, the circulatory system, the nervous system, and digestion. Therefore, it seems that the use of learning videos in the process of teaching biology will help students understand the lesson better. This study aimed to determine the use of basic educational videos as a tool for learning biology online. Literature was collected and compiled thoroughly to conduct this study. Studies have shown that basic learning videos can help teachers develop new methods for teaching biology in the classroom. The results of the study show that using basic learning videos as a medium for distance learning in biology can have a positive impact. It can improve cognitive skills and learning performance, develop interest, motivate students, and ensure that students understand the content of the lessons better.

Abstract

Teachers at SD Negeri 064020 Medan have the problem of a lack of knowledge about implementing the independent curriculum, especially for the Pancasila student profile. Alternative solutions to the problems faced by teachers at SD Negeri 064020 Medan so that they can develop and increase their knowledge and can implement an independent curriculum at the school. By socializing it to teachers at SD Negeri 064020 Medan. The target outcomes that will result from the solution are: (1). Producing teachers who are able to increase knowledge and are able to implement an independent curriculum based on the Pancasila student profile, (2). The results of this program can later be published in national journals. After the socialization has been carried out to the teachers at State Elementary School 064020 Medan, the proposing team will carry out an evaluation by giving assignments and questionnaires to the teachers at State Elementary School 064020 Medan to fill in whether the results of the socialization have met the expected solution to the problems of the State Elementary School teachers. 064020 Medan. The aim of this activity is apart from being an effort by the Government to help the needs of the community, it also proves that the lecturers and HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar University are present and able to help with complaints and provide solutions to the community, especially teachers at SD Negeri 064020 Medan so that the vision of becoming a Superior and Competitive University is achieved as well as fulfilling the Tridharma Duties for Lecturers who provide community service.

Abstract

Meningkatkan kualifikasi siswa SMK di daerah kepulauan telah menjadi bagian integral dari visi misi Politeknik Negeri Batam dalam menjalin kemitraan yang erat dengan masyarakat demi mewujudkan Indonesia Maju dan Sejahtera pada tahun 2045. Salah satu strategi yang dijalankan adalah melaksanakan program pengabdian masyarakat di Pulau Bintan melalui pelatihan menggunakan ARM Robot Trainer Kit. Program ini bertujuan untuk memberikan dukungan kepada siswa SMK agar dapat meningkatkan mutu pendidikan serta mempersiapkan mereka dengan keterampilan yang relevan untuk sukses di dunia kerja. Metode yang dilakukan adalah memberikan pelatihan arm robot kepada siswa kelas 10 dan 11 program studi Teknik Elektronika Industri, SMK N 1 Bintan Utara. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 22 November 2024. Hasil pengabdian menghasilkan peningkatan kompetensi siswa dibidang arm robot sebesar 24,62 % tentang pengenalan arm robot. Selain itu, peserta pengabdian memberikan penilaian kepuasan sebesar 42,78 % menyatakan sangat puas, 32,22% menyatakan puas, 23.89% menyatakan cukup puas, dan 1.11% menyatakan kurang puas.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Corporate Social Responsibility and Cash Holding on the value of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Utilizing secondary time series data spanning from 2020 to 2024, the research investigates how each variable, both individually and collectively, influences firm value. The findings indicate that Corporate Social Responsibility has a positive and significant impact on company value, supported by a probability value below the standard significance level. Similarly, Cash Holding shows a positive and significant effect on firm value, suggesting that companies with higher liquidity are perceived more favorably by investors. Moreover, the joint analysis of both variables demonstrates a significant combined influence on firm value, reinforcing the notion that corporate responsibility and effective cash management play crucial roles in enhancing market perception and investor confidence.

Abstract

Penguatan literasi di kalangan pendidik merupakan langkah strategis dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Guru sebagai ujung tombak pendidikan perlu memiliki kemampuan literasi yang kuat, baik dalam memahami teks, menyampaikan informasi, maupun mengintegrasikan keterampilan literasi dalam proses pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan literasi kepada guru-guru SMKS Cinta Rakyat Pematangsiantar melalui workshop interaktif yang dirancang untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan literasi dasar dan digital. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi ceramah, diskusi, simulasi, dan praktik langsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep literasi serta kemampuan mereka dalam mengimplementasikan strategi literasi dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Emesis gravidarum merupakan salah satu keluhan kehamilan trimester pertama yang umum terjadi dan dapat mengganggu aktivitas serta asupan nutrisi ibu. Prevalensi emesis gravidarum di Indonesia mencapai lebih dari 50% pada ibu hamil trimester pertama. Salah satu upaya penanganan nonfarmakologis yang mulai banyak digunakan adalah aromaterapi lavender yang dikenal memiliki efek menenangkan dan antiemetik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas aromaterapi lavender pada ibu hamil dengan emesis gravidarum di Ruang Rawat Jalan Poli Kebidanan RSUD Bangkinang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experiment two group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama Februari hingga Mei 2025. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh ibu hamil trimester pertama yang mengalami emesis gravidarum di ruang rawat jalan tersebut pada periode Oktober 2024 hingga Januari 2025, dengan jumlah sebanyak 32 orang. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling dan dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu 16 orang kelompok eksperimen yang diberikan aromaterapi lavender dan 16 orang kelompok kontrol yang diberikan rebusan daun mint. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner Rhodes INVR dan lembar observasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya penurunan intensitas emesis gravidarum yang signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen setelah diberikan aromaterapi lavender selama 3 hari, dengan nilai p=0,000. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa aromaterapi lavender efektif dalam menurunkan emesis gravidarum pada ibu hamil trimester pertama. Disarankan agar RSUD Bangkinang mempertimbangkan penggunaan aromaterapi lavender sebagai intervensi nonfarmakologis tambahan dalam pelayanan kebidanan.
