Abstract

This community service aims to introduce a prototype curriculum and improve the ability of mathematics teachers in West Bandung Regency in preparing TPACK-based learning tools. This activity is in the form of simple training, namely following the examples provided which consist of two sessions, namely: 1) Introduction to prototype curriculum, and 2) Training on the development of TPACK-based learning tools, which consists of: a) Training on the preparation of learning tools using the Liveworksheet application and b) Training on the preparation of learning tools using the Anyflip application. The resulting product is a TPACK-based learning device for mathematics subjects in elementary schools. From the results of observations and interviews with participants, it is known that 70 percent of participants have been able to compose simple TPACK learning tools, besides that the four indicators are: 1) participants' motivation in participating in activities; 2) new knowledge about prototype curriculum; 3) knowing new knowledge and skills about TPACK-based learning, and 4) the number of participants who are able to compose learning has been fulfilled, it can be said that this activity can improve the abilities and skills of mathematics teachers in West Bandung Regency in preparing TPACK-based learning tools using curriculum prototypes

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the difficulties experienced by students in solving story problems in teaching materials for the Two Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) in secondary schools. The system of linear equations of two variables, or often called SPLDVs, is one of the most familiar materials in everyday life. The survey was also conducted in a secondary school in West Bandung Province with a total of 27 class VIII B students. A sample of 10 individuals was taken for further analysis to represent students with high, medium and low abilities. Qualitative descriptive method was also used in this study. Data collection itself is done through student test sheets containing two story questions with different levels of difficulty. The test results showed that (1) the students did not understand the story questions, and (2) the students were not comfortable in modifying and modeling the story questions. (3) retraining is needed because they are not familiar with converting values to mathematical models using the substitution method.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research conducted with 2 cycles. This research was conducted on Merger class students X TKJ and TKRO of SMK Dwi Putra Sindangkerta for the academic year 2022/2023 using a scientific approach. This study aims to determine classroom action research and understanding of mathematical concepts, especially the material equations and inequalities of linear absolute value of one variable using a scientific approach. In this study, the results of students' answers using data analysis techniques with qualitative analysis have four stages: 1). Data collection; 2). Data reduction; 3). Data presentation; 4). Conclusion. The first cycle's lack of student activity was demonstrated by the average score of 62.70 for all students, Student scores increased by 24.58 from the average initial test score of 38.12. In the second cycle test the results have increased the average score of 38.12, student scores climbed by 24.58. It can be concluded that the mastery of the concept of linear absolute value equations and inequalities of one variable in Merger X TKJ and TKRO class students at Dwi Putra Sindangkerta Vocational School has increased.

Abstract

As we know, there are still many students who still have difficulty understanding the set material. This of course affects the learning outcomes. Thereofere, a Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning method is needed into mathematics learning, with the hope that students are more familiar with and understand the concepts given to the set material. The purpose of this research is to improve the learning outcomes of mathematics on set material. This study uses a Class Action Research (CAR) model with 30 students in class VII-D SMPN 1 Margaasih. This research was conducted in three cycles, with each cycle consisting of: 1) Planning, 2) implementation, 3) observation, 4) reflection. The data analysis technique is to see the increase in learning outcomes from the three learning cycles with a limit of 85% reaching the KKM value of 75. The learning outcomes of SMP Negeri 1 Margaasih students who initially be concluded that with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method students better understand the material and have an effect on increasing learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the scientific approach applied in geometry transformation material to improve the mathematical critical thinking skills of junior high school students. This research method uses classroom action research. The subjects of this study were students of class IX-B Pataruman Cihampelas junior high school with 12 male students and 8 female students, totaling 20 students. The stages of this research include; Planning, implementing actions, observing and evaluating, and reflecting. This stage is carried out repeatedly (cycles) until the desired student learning outcomes are achieved. In this study, there were 2 cycles. Where the first cycle is carried out online and the second cycle is carried out offline. To evaluate and measure student learning outcomes, test instruments are given in the form of description questions which are carried out before and after the action or often referred to as pretest and posttest. The results of this study indicate that the application of the scientific approach is considered effective to improve mathematical thinking skills in the material of geometric transformation in class IX-B of Pataruman junior high school.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe students' mathematical critical thinking skills through a scientific approach to the subject matter of algebraic forms in grade VII SMP Pataruman. This research uses classroom action research method. The subjects of this study were 25 students of class VII-A of SMP Pataruman Cihampelas in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. This research was conducted through 2 cycles, each of which was carried out by following the procedures, namely planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The first cycle was carried out by distance learning (online), while the second cycle was carried out face-to-face (offline). The data collection instruments used in this study were test instruments in the form of pretest and posttest, learning independence questionnaires, and observation sheets for teacher and student activities. The results showed that there was an increase in students' mathematical critical thinking skills in grades VII-A of SMP Pataruman on the subject matter of algebra by applying a scientific approach.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of a scientific approach in improving the learning outcomes on the material of Relations and Functions. The research subjects were students of class VIII-D of SMP Pataruman for the academic year 2021/2022 as many as 20 people. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles consisting of four meetings. The stages of this research are: Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. This stage is applied repeatedly to achieve the target so that student learning outcomes experience an increase in the mastery of learning scenarios. The results showed that the application of the scientific approach was able to improve learning outcomes in each cycle. It can be shown that the average score in the first cycle was only 57.3% and increased in the second cycle to 81.85%. Student learning outcomes increased by 24.55% from the first cycle to the second cycle. So it can be concluded that the scientific approach is believed to be very effective and has a positive effect on learning that is able to improve student learning outcomes in the material Relations and Functions in class VIII-D SMP Pataruman.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Visual Basic Application (VBA) Microsoft PowerPoint pada materi himpunan. Adapun metode yang relevan dalam mencapai tujuan tersebut yaitu metode pengembangan ADDIE. Tahapan-tahapan ADDIE yaitu Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation,dan Evaluate. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dengan instrumen lembar validasi media dan ahli materi, serta wawancara pada validator ahli tersebut. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menghitung persentase setiap indikator capaian yang kemudian diinterpretasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan berdasarkan ahli media yakni indikator access 90%, cost 93%, technology 87%, interactivity 80% dan organization 90% sedangkan berdasarkan ahli materi rata-rata capaian indikator tujuan pembelajaran 83%, kesesuaian materi 88% , kesesuaian dengan karakteristik siswa 88%, kesesuaian teori 92%, kesesuaian lingkungan 85% dan kesesuaian dengan gaya belajar 78% . Simpulan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan tingkat validitas media pembelajaran VBA PowerPoint pada materi himpunan berdasarkan ahli media dan materi sangat valid untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika. The aim of the research was to develop the Visual Basic Application (VBA) learning media for Microsoft PowerPoint learning media on set material. The relevant method for achieving this goal is the ADDIE development method. The stages of ADDIE are Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate. Data collection techniques in this research used validation instruments sheets for media experts and material experts, as well as interviews with both experts. The data analysis technique used uses a quantitative approach by calculating the percentage of each achievement indicator, which is then interpreted. The results showed that based on media experts, namely access indicators at 90%, cost at 93%, technology at 87%, interactive at 80%, and organization at 90%. Based on material experts, the average achievement indicators for learning objectives were 83%, material suitability 88%, suitability with student characteristics 88%, theory suitability 92%, environmental suitability 85%, and learning style suitability 78%. The conclusions in this study indicate the level of validity of VBA PowerPoint learning media on set material based on media experts, and the material is very valid for use in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Assessment is a form of assessment that is used to measure cognitive abilities or student learning outcomes at the primary, secondary and equivalent levels. The minimum competency assessment is used to see how the deficiencies are mapped in learning activities so that improvements can be made in subsequent activities which in the end can obtain the skills or abilities of Indonesian students as a whole. The main objective in carrying out this activity is to improve the ability of teachers to make in-depth assessments of the independent curriculum so that in the end it is expected to improve students' abilities in learning mathematics. This activity was carried out in the form of a workshop with material on training in making assessments in the independent curriculum. This activity involved 25 participants who were elementary school teachers in Curug village, Klari district, Karawang district. This community service activity uses the method of carrying out lectures related to the National Assessment, minimum competency assessment, providing training in compiling assessment questions related to numeracy literacy, assigning assignments, and discussing. -mathematical assessment questions. The response of the workshop participants to the material provided was very good, especially in terms of the urgency of the material, the scope of the training material, the time it was held and the competence of the resource persons. Post-training assistance is carried out 1 time after 3 weeks of workshop activities.Asesmen merupakan salah satu bentuk penilaian yang digunakan dalam mengukur kemampuan kognitif atau hasil belajar siswa di tingkat dasar, menengah dan yang sederajat. Asesmenkompetensi minimum digunakan dalam melihat bagaimana pemetaan kekurangan-kekurangan yang berada di dalam kegiatan pembelajaran sehingga dapat dilakukan perbaikan dalam kegiatan selanjutnya yang pada akhirnya bisa didapatkan kecakapan atau kemampuan siswa Indonesia secara utuh. Tujuan Utama dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kemampuan para guru membuat asesmendalam kurikulum merdeka sehingga pada akhirnya diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam belajar matematika. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk workshop dengan materi tentang pelatihan pembuatan asesmen dalam kurikulum merdeka. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 25 peserta yang merupakan guru sekolah dasar di desa Curug kecamatan Klari kabupaten Karawang. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan metode pelaksanaan ceramah terkait Asesmen Nasional,  asesmen kompetensi minimum, memberikan pelatihan penyusunan soal-soal asesmen  terkait literasi numerasi, pemberian tugas, dan diskusi Dari pemberian tugas mandiri yang diberikan kepada peserta, di atas 90% guru mampu menyusun soal-soal asesmen matematika. Respon para peserta workshop terhadap materi yang diberikan sangat bagus, terutama pada segi aspek urgensi materi, cakupan materi pelatihan, waktu penyelenggaraan dan kompetensi narasumber. Pendampingan pasca pelatihan dilakukan 1 kali setelah 3 minggu kegiatan workshop selesai dilaksanakan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the ability to solve math problems in class IX junior high school students in solving problems on statistics material. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method. The research subjects for this study were class IX students at SMPN 3 Cimahi consisting of 35 students. The data collection technique used is to test the instrument of mathematical problem solving ability test questions in the form of a written test consisting of 4 essay questions. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that students' mathematical problem-solving abilities could be said to be still low. This can be seen from the students who get low criterion ratings on two indicators, namely indicators that identify the adequacy of data to solve problems which obtain a proportion of 37.86% and indicators for making a mathematical model of a problem and solving it which obtains a proportion of 34.29%
