Abstract

Real analysis is one of the main branches of mathematics that serves as a fundamental foundation for the development of science and technology. This study emphasizes the understanding of basic concepts such as real numbers, limits, continuity, the principle of mathematical induction, as well as deductive and axiomatic approaches as a strong framework for mathematical proofs. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by examining articles and journals related to both the theoretical aspects and the implementation of real analysis in solving mathematical problems. The findings indicate that the application of Polya’s method, visualization through demonstration, and the use of modern technology such as augmented reality (AR) can enhance the effectiveness of real analysis learning. These approaches help students connect abstract concepts with real applications, thereby strengthening logical, systematic, critical, and rigorous thinking skills. However, several learning difficulties are also identified, including the complexity of the material, weak learning habits, social influences, and inappropriate teaching strategies. Therefore, more applicative, interactive, and contextual learning strategies are needed to support the achievement of learning objectives. The conclusion of this review highlights that the integration of theoretical understanding, problem-solving methods, and innovative technology is a strategic step to improve students’ thinking quality in real analysis courses. Thus, real analysis is not only positioned as a theoretical subject but also as a medium for developing problem-solving abilities and higher-order thinking skills that are relevant to both academic needs and real-world applications.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there were differences in mathematical communication skills in relation to the learning process of implementing Reciprocal Teaching in students who learn through direct learning. The population used in this study consisted only of students of class XI MIA MAN 2 Kampar, where the sample was class XI MIA 1 as the experimental class and XI MIA 2 as the control class. Data collection used tests, observations, questionnaires and documentation. Data were analyzed using TwoWay ANOVA. The results showed that there were variations in mathematical communication skills between students who used the reciprocal learning approach and students who did direct learning: there were differences in this case the mathematical communication skills of students who had high, medium and low learning interests. And there was no interaction between the Reciprocal Teaching learning model and interest in students' mathematical communication skills. So Reciprocal Teaching can be used to influence students' mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

Real Analysis is a fundamental course in mathematics education characterized by its deductive and axiomatic structure, which requires logical, systematic, and conceptual understanding. However, many studies have shown that students often face difficulties in grasping abstract concepts and constructing mathematical proofs deductively. Lestari (2015) found that most students were only able to conduct proofs inductively, while their deductive proof skills remained low due to weak prerequisite knowledge and lack of formal reasoning practice. Meanwhile, Darmadi, Sanusi, and Rifai (2024) explained that students’ difficulties in understanding formal definitions and the structure of real numbers indicate the need for a learning approach that emphasizes conceptual comprehension. This article employs a literature review approach to analyze the application of conceptual approaches in helping beginners understand Real Analysis. The results show that a conceptual approach enhances students’ understanding of the meaning behind mathematical symbols and procedures, helps them build connections among concepts such as limits, continuity, and the real number system, and gradually develops their deductive reasoning skills. Therefore, applying a conceptual approach in Real Analysis learning is an essential strategy to help students achieve deep, logical, and meaningful understanding.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa berdasarkan self-concept pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel (SPLDV). Jenis penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan menggunakan desain studi kasus. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 5 orang dari 21 siswa kelas VIII SMP Telekomunikasi Pekanbaru. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket self-concept, tes kemampuan literasi matematis, dan wawancara. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket self-concept, soal tes kemampuan literasi dan pedoman wawancara. Analisis data melalui 3 tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) siswa self-concept tinggi menggunakan metode eliminasi-eliminasi dalam menyelesaikan soal kemampuan literasi matematis; dan (2) siswa self-concept sedang dan rendah menggunakan metode eliminasi-eliminasi dan eliminasi-substitusi menyelesaikan soal kemampuan literasi matematis.

Abstract

A major contributor to raising educational standards is the professionalism of teachers. The strategic role of educational supervision in this context is to support and empower teachers in the performance of their professional responsibilities through a methodical and ongoing effort. According to this article, educational supervision is a useful tactic for improving teachers' pedagogical, professional, social, and personal competences. Supervision is a technique for teacher self-development as well as evaluation through needs-based and participative approaches. Supervision can promote a professional work culture that supports ongoing teacher development by putting many forms of supervision into practice, including clinical, academic, administrative, and collaborative supervision. The results demonstrate the beneficial effects of regular and thoughtful supervision on school learning quality. Thus, educational monitoring ought to be incorporated into education-related human resource development policies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki fokus utama untuk mengeksplorasi perbedaan tingkat math anxiety atau kecemasan dalam matematika siswa jenjang Pendidikan SMP berdasarkan jenis kelamin atau dikenal dengan gender. Metode deskriptif kuantitatif digunakan sebagai metode penelitian, dengan mengambil 30 siswa yang berasal dari kelas IX sebagai sampel penelitian. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penggunaan angket math anxiety yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data angket math anxiety siswa digunakan untuk menghitung tingkat kecemasan matematis siswa berdasarkan klasifikasi kategori math anxiety dan menggunakan uji independent sample t-test dalam menganalisis math anxiety berdasarkan gender. Hasil penelitian diperoleh dari 37% siswa mengalami tingkat math anxiety tinggi. Sedangkan hasil analisis diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa antara tingkat math anxiety siswa laki-laki dan perempuan menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan atau perubahan yang signifikan melalui uji independent sample t-test dengan nilai t yaitu 1,032 dan nilai sig. 0,311 > 0,05. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi rekomendasi sebagai landasan pertimbangan dalam mengembangkan proses belajar mengajar yang efisien dan efektif sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa SMP/Sederajat.

Abstract

The research was conducted to determine students' mathematical communication skills and their influence on mathematics education, consisting of 3 questions about number patterns. The instrument has gone through question validation, then given to class VIII students at one of the Pekanbaru MTS with procedures including: 1). Planning, 2). Implement, and 3). Assessing Results. The subjects in this research were 14 eighth grade students from the MTS Pekanbaru school. The approach to this research is descriptive and quantitative, and uses data collection techniques such as observation, data collected from test instruments, and errors in completion. The student's communication skills are in the "medium" category as shown by the research results.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to discuss the analysis of high school students' self-efficacy in learning mathematics. This research is qualitative research that uses descriptive methods. The instrument used is a non-test instrument, namely a questionnaire. Through the use of a mathematical self-efficacy questionnaire with 30 statements consisting of 10 indicators. The descriptive qualitative research method involved 27 high school students in Kampar. Based on the questionnaire data, it can be concluded that accumulated self-efficacy in mathematics learning is 37.27% in the low category. In percentage terms, it can be described that the indicator of being able to overcome the problems faced is 38.5% in the low category, the indicator of being confident in one's success is 33.17% in the low category, the indicator of having a positive view of the task is 47.74% in the low category , the indicator of being brave enough to face challenges is 42.2% in the low category, the indicator of being brave enough to take risks is 38.55% in the low category, the indicator of being aware of one's strengths and weaknesses is 35.5% in the low category, the indicator of being able to interact with people is 36, 21% in the low category, the indicator of not giving up easily is 40% in the low category, the indicator of having commitment to the tasks given is 28.88% in the low category, the indicator of having great interest in lessons and assignments is 31.96% in the low category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas penerapan metode Eliminasi Gauss-Jordan untukmenghitung lokasi mobil menggunakan data GPS. Dengan memanfaatkan informasi tentang posisi satelit dan waktu yang diterima, sistem persamaan yang dihasilkan diselesaikan untuk menentukan lokasi mobil dalam koordinat (x, y, z) serta waktu (t). Metode ini digunakan untukmenyederhanakan sistem persamaan, sehingga matriks yang dihasilkanmenjadi lebih mudah diselesaikan dan memberikan solusi langsung untukvariabel yang dicari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lokasi mobil yangdihitung sesuai dengan persamaan bola bumi, sehingga memungkinkan kita untuk menggambarkan posisi dengan akurat. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa metode ini potensial untuk digunakan dalam situasi navigasi darurat maupun penjelajahan wilayah yang belum dipetakan, sekaligus memberikan kontribusi pada peningkatan efisiensi penggunaan teknologi GPS dalam navigasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji aplikasi matriks dalam kehidupan sehari-hari melalui tinjauan literatur yang komprehensif. Matriks, sebagai konsep matematika yang luas, telah diterapkan dalam berbagai bidang, seperti teknik, komputer, ekonomi, dan ilmu sosial. Namun, penerapan matriks dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masih terbatas pada area tertentu. Melalui analisis terhadap 15 jurnal yang relevan, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa sekitar 76,47% penelitian mendukung keberadaan hubungan antara aplikasi matriks dan kehidupan sehari-hari, sementara 23,53% lainnya menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi matriks tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan dalam konteks tersebut. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penerapan matriks, seperti ukuran sampel, desain penelitian, dan konteks penggunaannya. Selain itu, beberapa jurnal mencatat adanya hubungan antara aplikasi matriks dengan masalah psikologis, seperti depresi, yang timbul akibat perasaan tidak mampu atau kesulitan dalam mengaplikasikan rumus matriks. Secara keseluruhan, meskipun ada bukti yang mendukung kebermanfaatan aplikasi matriks dalam kehidupan sehari- hari, penelitian lebih lanjut diperlukan untuk memahami lebih dalam tentang dampak sosial dan psikologis dari penggunaan matriks dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan.
