Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya autonomous learning dalam pengajaran untuk menciptakan athmosphere belajar yang kondusif dimanapun siswa/I belajar, yang mengharuskan peneliti mengusulkan solusi dari permasalahan kekhawatiran para guru akan pengaruh media digital yang dipergunakan selama pembelajaran. Pendampingan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian belajar (Autonomous Learning) agar pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara digitalisasi di dalam maupun di luar kelas dapat terwujud. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan oleh siswa kelas XI TKJ sebanyak 15 orang siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yang dipilih dalam melakukan pendampingan siswa SMK Yapim Siak Hulu  yaitu mentoring dan consulting. Tim pengabdian membagi kegiatan kedalam 2 sesi, yang pertama tim PkM melakukan sesi wawancara terhadap beberapa siswa untuk menceritakan kegiatan belajar sehari-harinya, kemudian sesi kedua Tim PkM memberikan survey kepada siswa dalam bentuk Google Form yang berisi tentang pertanyaan-pertanyaan terkait sikap dari kemandirian belajar siswa. Kegiatan penyampaian Pengukuran kemandirian belajar pada penelitian ini berdasarkan pada faktor internal (dari dalam diri) siswa yaitu percaya diri, disiplin, motivasi, inisiatif dan tanggung jawab. Pengisisan survey terdiri dari 25 pertanyaan dengan rentang pilihan dari rentang 1 s/d 10. Dari hasil penelitian melalui sesi wawancara dan survey, Tim PkM memperoleh hasil dari siswa Kelas XI SMK Yapim Siak Hulu bahwa kemandirian belajar siswa cukup tinggi. Dari hasil survey, sebagian besar siswa persantese yang cukup tinggi yaitu berada pada level menengah keatas dengan rentang 5 s/d 10.   The implementation of this service is motivated by the importance of autonomous learning in teaching to create a conducive learning atmosphere wherever students learn, which requires researchers to propose solutions to the problem of teachers' concerns about the influence of digital media used during learning. This assistance aims to increase learning independence (Autonomous Learning) so that digitized learning inside and outside the classroom can be realized. This activity was carried out directly by XI TKJ class students as many as 15 students. This PKM activity uses the method chosen in assisting students of SMK Yapim Siak Hulu, namely mentoring and consulting. The service team divided the activity into 2 sessions, the first PkM team conducted an interview session with several students to tell about their daily learning activities, then the second session of the PkM Team gave a survey to students in the form of a Google Form containing questions related to the attitude of student learning independence. The activity of delivering learning independence measurements in this study is based on internal factors (from within) students, namely self-confidence, discipline, motivation, initiative and responsibility. From the results of the research through interview sessions and surveys, the PkM Team obtained results from Class XI students of SMK Yapim Siak Hulu that students' learning independence was quite high. From the survey results, most students have a fairly high percentage, which is at the upper middle level with a range of 5 to 10.

Abstract

The Independent Learning and Independent Campus (MBKM) curriculum for vocational education provided learning experiences for students. However, the reading material conducted had not reached the curriculum target. Thus, this study aimed to develop critical reading material and worksheets based on the MBKM curriculum. The development procedure was designed in three stages: defining, designing, and developing for 3-D aids. The research resources employed were validation sheets for critical reading aids and semi-observation sheets to provide student activity during PjBL field trial. The results of this study were project-based learning (PjBL) used to construct English language learning aids for the syllabus and coursework units, including worksheets for critical reading. Hence, this learning aid could slightly enhance students' reading competence, which could lead them to have soft and hard skills as well as meet the MBKM curriculum target.

Abstract

The idea of autonomous learning is correlated with adult education, therefore, the ETEs views about this idea is being focused to bring about positive academic behaviors for the learners’ successful in language learning and to set autonomous personal quali-ties in terms decision making-ability, learner independency, psychology of learning and level of learner autonomy. With the help of NVivo 12 Software, this qualitative study investigates English teacher educators' (ETEs’) perception on autonomous learning in tertiary level of Riau Province. There were 6 ETEs agreed to be active informants and participated in interviews and observations. Structured interviews were in charge of taking primary data. Meanwhile observations become supportive data. After the data was collected and transcribed, the researchers identify, classify, and categorize the essential data from the interviews, create the coding and run into matrix coding in Nvivo 12 software. The findings inform us that they agreed with the importance of decision making for the EFL learners under the student-centered learner approach; yet, they perceived that learner independency was still low, meanwhile, for the psychology of learning, the ETEs’ still have little attention since  the level of learner autonomy was still lied on the amount of instructions and practices. In sum up, the ETEs' perceived autonomous learning lexically as a life skill that language learners, particularly adult learners should poses as a language learner identity. However, the ETEs’ still insist to assist learners to attain learning success while making them expert in decision- making.

Abstract

Learner autonomy has recently been recognised as an essential component of changes in higher education. The word 'LA' can be misunderstood because it may be viewed differently in various settings. Hence, this study explores whether the students at higher levels of education in Indonesia have better perceptions and efforts to enhance their autonomous learning. Questionnaires and interviews were asked with EFL students in collecting the data. The study sample consisted of 95 students randomly selected from FTTE Islamic University of Riau. This study applied a mix-method, and descriptive statistical testing was employed to analyse the data and determine the research questions. NVivo 12 explored how the students perceived the autonomous learning process. The result showed that the EFL learners mostly perceive autonomous learning as independent learning under one’s target, involving personal learning styles and strategies with the teacher's assistance. A significance value (p) was obtained at the time of initiation, monitoring, and evaluation of the data, respectively 0.286; 0.533; 0.744. So, all the p-value was >0.05. It requires no significant effort in initiating, monitoring, and evaluating among different levels. In addition, there was no significant difference between the efforts of the initiating, monitoring, and evaluating activity performed among EFL learners either in the second, fourth, or sixth level. This point is that EFL learners are not independent in selecting when and how to initiate, monitor, and evaluate autonomous learning. So, this fact shows us that the higher semester level did not guarantee better effort toward autonomous learning activities.

Abstract

Pendampingan ini dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya media pembelajaran dalam pengajaran guru dikelas untuk meningkatkan partisipasi siswa-siswi di kelas sekaligus yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan menghidupkan situasi kelas serta memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam pengembangan media pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kompetensi professional guru. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan oleh guru SD Islam Plus YLPI sebanyak 19 orang. Tahapan-tahapan dalam melakukan pendampingan guru SD Islam Plus YLPI meliputi; : 1) Penyajian materi tentang teori media pembelajaran; 2) Demonstrasi tentang langkah-langkah penyusunan dan pengembangan media pembelajaran serta latihan pembuatan media pembelajaran; 3) Evaluasi hasil media pembelajaran. Kegiatan awal dimulai dengan pemaparan materi kepada guru-guru, setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan demonstrasi berupa praktek pembuatan media pembelajaran melalui arahan narasumber. Untuk terus meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa, maka Guru harus mampu membuat media pembelajaran yang menarik sesuai dengan kebutuhan pada setiap mata pelajaran. Dengan menggunakan papan jurang dan media pecahan sebagai alat atau media yang sesuai dengan instruksi pelatihan, guru mampu menunjukkan peningkatan keterampilan guru. Setelah pelatihan, diadakan evaluasi pembuatan media pembelajaran interaktif, dan pendampingan ke SD untuk melihat bagaimana hasil pelatihan diterapkan. Diharapkan guru semakin kreatif untuk mencapai tujuan peningkatan kompetensi guru.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe students’ autonomous learning after students experienced synchronous learning. This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The study’s instrument is questionnaire through Google Form. The questionnaires consist of 15 items about students autonomous learning during synchronous learning and 10 items about students’ opinion of implementation of autonomous learning during synchronous learning. The data is described from 100 respondents to by descriptive analysis approach. The finding of this study reveals that there were four activities among other which students get, namely getting information about learning objectives for each new topic in synchronous learning, having different learning strategies for each different subject, looking for supporting materials that suit their needs, getting motivation during the class and students carried out learning activities as stated in the course outline from the lecturer's lesson plan. In addition, students' synchronous learning has become one of the factors that has assisted them in encouraging individual learning or keeping them autonomous with the assistance of lecturers' instruction and learning sources.

Abstract

Upaya peningkatan literasi marketing para pelaku UMKM dipandang penting untuk dilakukan. Salah satu strategi marketing dalam rangka menarik penjualan adalah pemberian diskon. Melalui peningkatan literasi tentang diskon dapat memberikan alternatif bagi penjual (pelaku UMKM) untuk meningkatkan minat konsumen. Literasi marketing yang diajarkan antara lain Waktu diskon, diskon sesuai nama, post and discount, diskon pengguna kartu kredit, diskon cashback, grup diskon, dan diskon member. Strategi yang digunakan dalam peningkatan literasi ini melalui ceramah, diskusi, dan tanya jawab. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah bertambahnya wawasan pelaku UMKM Batik Citra Gendhis, Kabupaten Malang.

Abstract

The integration of technology into educational practices has gained increasing attention, particularly in the realm of language learning. Podcasts, as a versatile and accessible digital tool, have emerged as a promising medium for enhancing various language skills. Employing experimental research, this investigation aims to determine whether the use of podcasts can significantly enhance students' listening abilities compared to traditional methods among eleventh-grade students at SMAN 3 Siak Hulu. Sample of 52 students was selected, divided into an experimental group (n=26) and a control group (n=26). The experimental group received treatment through audio podcasts, while the control group did not. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests, with essay-based assessments administered to evaluate listening comprehension. The experimental group's mean scores increased from 54.77 (pre-test) to 66.15 (post-test), while the control group's scores decreased from 64.12 (pre-test) to 53.85 (post-test). Statistical analysis using an independent sample t-test in SPSS 26 revealed a significant difference between the groups, with a t-test value of 2.741 (p = 0.008) surpassing the t-table value of 2.008. These results indicate a significant improvement in the listening comprehension of students exposed to podcasts, supporting the effectiveness of this technology in enhancing language learning outcomes. In brief, the study provides compelling evidence that incorporating podcasts into the educational curriculum significantly improves listening comprehension among students, thereby highlighting the potential of this technology to enhance language learning outcomes effectively.

Abstract

Sosialisasi program desa binaan ini dilakukan di salah satu desa yang ada di Kabupaten Kampar. Desa yang menjadi desa binaan disini adalah Desa Empat Balai, Kecamatan Kuok. Sosialiasasi program desa binaan ini bertujuan sebagai studi pendahuluan tim FKIP UIR, Sembilan Program Studi di lokasi masing-masing sesuai kebutuhan Kepala Desa dan Masyarakat Desa Empat Balai, Kecamatn Kuok, Kabupaten Kampar. Program studi Bahasa Inggris FKIP UIR pada Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat kepada Desa Empat Balai Kecamatan Kuok, insyaAllah meliputi antara lain (1) Memberikan asistensi dalam proses peningkatan kemampuan sumber daya Aparatur Desa dibidang pelatihan Bahasa Inggris. (2) Memberikan asistensi dalam upaya pengembangan peningkatan kemampuan PPK Desa dengan pelatihan Bahasa Inggris. (3) Memberikan asistensi pembinaan kepada Pokdarwis dengan pelatihan Bahasa Inggris. (4) Memberikan asistensi kepada karang taruna dan Siswa SD dan TK dalam pengenalan Bahasa Inggris. (5) Memberikan asistensi kepada desa untuk menjadi Desa Wisata Kuliner. (6) Memperoleh umpan balik bagi perguruan tinggi. (7) Memberikan asistensi dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran serta kompetensi pemerintah desa serta sumber daya alam yang ada di desa sehingga memberikan kebermanfaatan yang positif untuk peningkatan ekonomi desa. Hasil sosialisasi Bina Desa ini diharapkan agar Mitra mendapatkan asistensi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan desa sehingga program Bina Desa ini perlu diadakan sebagai guna peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat desa. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dihrapkan adanya respon yang positif terhadap program Bina Desa di Desa Empat Balai, Kecamatan Kuok, Kabupaten Kampar.

Abstract

Salah satu cara agar modul dapat lebih diminati siswa adalah dengan menciptakan modul dalam bentuk elektronik yang dapat dijadikan suatu media interaktif karena dapat disisipi media lain seperti gambar, animasi, audio maupun video. E-Modul menjadi satu dari banyak pilihan bagi tenaga guru untuk tetap memberikan pembelajaran kepada peserta didik yang terbiasa dengan smartphone. E- Modul juga akan jadi penyeimbang informasi yang bersifat akademik bagi peserta didik selain informasi-informasi yang mereka serap dari media online lainnya. Sehingga kemandirian belajar siswa tetap terjaga dan bahkan lebih meningkat lagi. Harapan lain dari pelatihan ini adalah dengan adanya pelatihan e-Modul dengan CANVA, memudahkan para guru di SMK Budi Dharma Menyusun dan mengembangkan modul pembelajaran untuk mata pelajaran yang diampu. Karya mereka akan menjadi HAKI bagi para guru sebagai bukti dari profesionalisme nya. Universitas Islam Riau terutama Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu pengetahuan dalam Roadmap Pengabdian kepada masyarakat bidang seni budaya dan Pendidikan yang masih memfokuskan pada PKM teknologi Pendidikan dan pembelajaran melakukan kerjasama dalam bentuk pelatihan penyusunan e-Modul dengan CANVA Apps dalamrangka meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa. Materi pelatihan akan berikan dalam beberapa tahapan. Tahap (1) peserta akan mempelajari langkah meningkatkan kemandirian belajar, tahap (2), peserta dikenalkan dengan CANVA Apps, tahap (3), peserta mempelajari format e-Modul Interaktif, tahap (4), peserta sudah mulai melakukan praktek penyusunan e-Modul interaktif dan terakhir, tahap (5), peserta sudah bisa melakukan praktek mandiri. Validasi ahli dan uji coba dari penyusunan atau pengembangan e-Modul interkatif akan menjadi kelanjutan dari pelatihan ini.
