Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the leadership style and emotional intelligence of school principals on the performance of Gugus Kindergarten teachers, Simpang Kanan District, Aceh Singkil Regency. The type of research used in this research is quantitative descriptive type with survey methods. This research was carried out at Gugus Kindergarten, Simpang Kanan District, Aceh Singkil with a sample of 32 respondents. The sampling technique in this research used cluster proportional random sampling. The results of the analysis prove that there is a positive and significant influence of the principal's leadership style on the performance of the Simpang Kanan Aceh Singkil Kindergarten Teachers with a correlation coefficient value between these two variables of 0.713. There is a positive and significant influence of the principal's emotional intelligence on the job satisfaction of the Simpang Kanan Aceh Singkil Kindergarten Teacher with a correlation coefficient value between these two variables of 0.607. 3. There is a positive and significant influence on the principal's leadership style and the principal's emotional intelligence together on job satisfaction at the Gugus Simpang Kanan Aceh Singkil Kindergarten with a correlation coefficient value between these variables of 0.605.

Abstract

Educating high school students about processing organic waste into liquid organic fertilizer using the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) approach aims to increase environmental awareness and practical skills among students. In this program, students are involved in a series of workshops that teach the process of processing organic waste through fermentation, as well as the importance of sustainable waste management. The ABCD method focuses on utilizing the potential and resources available in the community, encouraging students to collaborate on practical projects. This method has several stages, namely discovery, design, define and destiny. The stakeholders involved are the principal, biology teacher and 20 students of SMAN 2 Sungai Tarab, Tanah Datar, West Sumatra. Based on the results of the activities that have been carried out, it was found that with the ABCD approach, students of SMAN 2 Sungai Tarab have succeeded in developing their assets in the form of increasing skills in processing organic waste into liquid organic fertilizer and initiating the creation of POC sustainably. Thus, education on processing organic waste into liquid organic fertilizer with the ABCD approach can improve organic waste processing skills and the younger generation's concern for the environment.

Abstract

This study examines the approach taken by madrasah ibtidaiyah principals to enhance teacher discipline through the use of managerial oversight. To create a consistent culture of discipline in the classroom, managerial supervision is crucial. There is still a disconnect between the academic notions of supervision and their practical application, especially at madrasahs in the Pidie region. A qualitative descriptive methodology was used in this study, which included document analysis, observations, and interviews. The results show that, in spite of obstacles including a lack of professional development and environmental difficulties, principals use a variety of supervisory techniques to deal with teacher discipline concerns. To improve teacher discipline in primary Islamic schools, the study finds that contextualized policies and focused training are essential for bolstering management supervision.

Abstract

Purpose - This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of implementing AI-based science learning integrated with a deep learning approach in improving the academic achievement of inclusive students. This study also evaluated the impact of deep learning strategies on inclusive students' conceptual understanding, engagement, and critical thinking skills in science learning.Methodology – This study uses a quantitative approach with 25 elementary school students, including inclusive students who have adopted or tried AI-based or deep learning-based educational tools in science lessons.Findings – The results of this study indicate that the implementation of AI-based science learning and deep learning positively impacted the academic achievement of elementary school students, including those with special needs. The average post-test score for students increased by 21%, comparable to their peers. Observational data show that inclusive students are more actively engaged during learning. AI features such as voice support, visual simulations, and interactive tasks helped reduce learning barriers, boost their confidence, and increase their participation in science learning activities. Student feedback collected during the learning sessions indicated that most students found the AI-based learning tools enjoyable and easy to use. Paired-sample t-test results showed a statistically significant difference between pre- and post-test scores (p < 0.05), confirming the effectiveness of AI-based learning and deep learning in improving students' science learning outcomes.Contribution – The results of this study demonstrate that AI-based learning tools, integrated with deep learning strategies, are highly effective in supporting inclusive education. AI adapts to diverse learning needs and can reduce barriers for students with special needs in the classroom, benefiting learning for diverse students.

Abstract

Students' interest in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI) tends to be low because the learning method is still predominantly lecture-based and lacks interactivity. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of gamification as an interactive learning innovation to increase the learning interest of PAI students. A descriptive quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design was used on 72 junior high school students who were divided into an experimental group (using gamification through Kahoot and Quizizz) and a control group (using conventional methods). The research instrument was in the form of a learning interest questionnaire on a Likert scale and a student involvement observation sheet. The results showed a significant increase in the experimental group, with the average learning interest score increasing by 20.3 points, while the control group only increased by 6.6 points. The results of the paired t-test also showed a significant difference (p < 0.05) in the experimental group. Observations support these findings, where the participation rate of students in the experimental class reached 85%, while in the control group it was only 45%. The findings confirm that gamification is able to create a more interactive, competitive, and fun learning atmosphere, while still internalizing Islamic values. This study recommends the application of gamification as an innovative strategy in PAI learning, although it needs to be adjusted to school infrastructure and student conditions.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of leadership style in Islamic boarding schools in preserving the traditional Islamic boarding school culture as local wisdom of Aceh.Methodology – This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-correlational design through a structured questionnaire on the leaders, teachers, and staff of the Insafuddin Integrated Islamic Boarding School, Banda Aceh. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including normality tests, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, Pearson correlation, and simple linear regression to measure the influence of leadership style on the maintenance of Islamic boarding school culture.Findings – This study shows that leadership style positively affects efforts to maintain the traditional Islamic boarding school culture, as the local wisdom of Aceh. The results of simple linear regression analysis show a regression coefficient value of 0.533 and a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.211, which means that leadership style explains 21.1% of the variation in efforts to preserve Islamic boarding school culture. This finding shows that leadership plays an important role in maintaining the sustainability of Islamic boarding school cultural values amidst the challenges of modernization.Contribution – This study contributes to the literature on educational leadership by proposing an adaptive authority model that combines religious legitimacy, cultural roots, and participatory managerial practices. Practically, this study provides insights for Islamic boarding school leaders and policymakers in designing leadership development programs, succession planning, and managerial innovation that balance cultural preservation with the demands of modern education.

Abstract

Nasabah memiliki masalah kebutuhan sehingga gadai emas syariah merupakan bentuk penyaluran dana oleh bank syariah yang bertujuan untuk membantu masyarakat dalam memperoleh pinjaman uang dengan menggadaikan emas milik nasabah. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan perjanjian gadai emas pada bank syariah di Aceh Tengah, dan untuk mengetahui pelaksanaan perjanjian gadai emas sudah sesuai dengan kaidah prinsip syariah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan metode kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisa data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi (kesimpulan). Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber, waktu, dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian Pelaksanaan perjanjian gadai emas cukup mudah yaitu nasabah mengisi formulir, nasabah menyerahkan barang berupa emas kepada officer gadai, emas ditaksir sesuai standarisasi harga emas, penaksir menentukan besarnya pembiayaan yang akan diterima dan biaya yang harus dibayar oleh nasabah dan diberikan Surat Bukti Gadai Emas. Nasabah menandatangani surat dan penaksir menyerahkan tanda terima barang. Pelaksanaan praktek gadai emas menggunakan tiga akad yaitu akad Qardh, akad gadai, dan akad Ijarah. Pelaksanaan perjanjian gadai emas sudah sesuai dengan kaidah prinsip syariah bahwa pelaksanaan gadai emas sudah sesuai dengan prinsip syariah berdasarkan apa yang diatur dalam Fatwa DSN-MUI yang berdasarkan Al-Qur’an dan Hadits. Kesesuaian pelaksanaan gadai emas ditinjau dalam tiga hal yaitu rukun dan syarat sah gadai, biaya-biaya, dan prosedur penyelesaian barang jaminan.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia, especially at the elementary school level, plays a very important role in forming the foundation of knowledge and skills that students will use throughout their lives. Therefore, it is important to develop innovative learning methods to improve student understanding. This study aims to examine the effect of using the PhET application on improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SDN 14 Banda Aceh in science learning. The method used in this study was an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The results showed that the PhET application can significantly improve student learning outcomes. The experimental group showed a greater increase than the control group. The average posttest score of students in the experimental group increased significantly, this shows that the PhET application in science learning in elementary schools can help students understand difficult science concepts so that it can improve student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that through the PhET application, student learning outcomes can be improved by 92% in science learning for fourth-grade students of SDN 14 Banda Aceh. The use of technology in science learning can have a positive impact on increasing student involvement and student understanding of the material being taught

Abstract

Character education is an important element in shaping students' moral, social, and emotional competencies, particularly within the context of the Indonesian Independent Curriculum. One strategy to strengthen students' character is through the implementation of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5). This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation process of P5 in strengthening students' character, the assessment standards used, and the follow-up plan developed to improve the quality of education in junior high schools in Sukajaya District, Sabang City. This study used a qualitative descriptive method involving interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants included the principal, curriculum team leader, subject teachers, and students. The results showed that the implementation of P5 in State Junior High School 2 Sabang focused on a sustainable lifestyle theme through ecobrick activities, while State Junior High School 2 Sabang adopted an entrepreneurship theme through a school bazaar event. All implementations followed the four main stages of P5: planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. Assessment emphasized authentic evaluation based on student participation, creativity, and collaboration. It can be concluded that the implementation of P5 made a positive contribution to strengthening students' character and improving contextual learning, although continuous improvement and teacher guidance are still needed.

Abstract

Moral degradation among students in Indonesia, especially during adolescence, demands an educational approach that fosters inclusive character and cultural values. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of inclusive character education in students through culture-based learning at Darul Aziziyah Amilin Integrated Islamic Junior High School in Subulussalam City. This qualitative study uses a descriptive approach with data collection through interviews, observation, documentation, and focus group discussions. This study involved six key informants: the principal, student coordinator, curriculum coordinator, and classroom teachers. The research findings indicate that inclusive character education is implemented by integrating the values of inclusivity and cultural respect into the learning process. This is realized through the creation of an inclusive classroom environment, the integration of local wisdom into teaching materials, and the implementation of intra- and extracurricular programs that emphasize tolerance, cooperation, and empathy. Learning is student-centered and encourages a cooperative, collaborative, and active approach. Despite facing challenges such as limited parental involvement and time constraints, the school consistently strives to improve quality through regular evaluation and communication. It can be concluded that inclusive character education supported by culture-based strategies effectively fosters moral development and social awareness among students in the context of boarding schools.
