Abstract

Positive parenting spend with their children is indispensable in influencing their development. Especially the role of mothers in foster emotional closeness of mother and child attachment relationship. Parents (especially mothers) are directly involved in the caring of children throughout the day. The amount of burden felt by the mother as the closest figure in parenting as well as a figure who must work outside the home to help the family's economic costs, these conditions can be stressful parenting. Conditions of stress and negative emotions will cause the mother's mother's experience of delay in the parenting process. It would be bad in parenting because of stress and negative emotions are often experienced by the mother behaves is not healthy, not positive and will exacerbate the situation of children, such as child neglect even violent behavior toward his son. The importance of the mother also has been studied, including by Gray (2003) that there was evidence suggesting that the burden of parenting more weight falls on mothers than fathers (Moes, Koegel, Schreibman & Loos, 1992 (in Marshall & Long, 2010) , and the mother will suffer more emotionally the load (Gray, 2003, in Marshall & Long, 2010).Keywords: Mother, stressors, negative emotions, parenting stress

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode proyek terhadap kerjasama anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini berjenis quasy experimental design tipe non equivalent control group sehingga sampel yang diteliti yaitu 24 orang anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Al-Anshar Tanjung Pura yang terdistribusi pada dua kelas. Kelas eksperimen menerapakn metode proyek dan kelas kontrol menerapkan metode demonstrasi (metode yang biasa digunakan di Al-Anshar Tanjung Pura). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi dan rubrik penilaian kerjasama. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji hipotesis dengan rumus uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) anak pada kelas eksperimen setelah menerapkan metode proyek mempunyai kriteria kerjasama berkembang sangat baik; (2) anak pada kelas kontrol setelah menerapkan metode demonstrasi seperti proses pembelajaran biasanya mempunyai kriteria kerjasama berkembang sesuai harapan; dan (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara penggunaan metode proyek tehadaap kerjasama anak usia 5-6 tahun di RA Al-Anshar Tanjung Pura.

Abstract

Psychology is a discipline that aims to understand human behavior. The difference in human behavior in responding to the presence of stimulus has proven that each human being is unique and not the same, and his needs are also different. No human is the same psychologically even though his physical condition looks the same in plain sight. This which affects the ability of humans is also different when faced with the source of the problem that is being faced. Every human being must constantly develop his competence, so as not to experience a mental crisis that can ultimately lead to pathological disorders. Understanding human uniqueness, especially in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor abilities, will help in the smoothness of the counseling process.Keywords: Psychology; Guidance and counseling.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the role of group-based parenting support training with the psychoeducational method in improving the well-being of parents having children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) during the pandemic. The participants were 10 parents divided into the psychoeducational group and 12 parents in the control group in one State Special School for Autism in Medan. The instrument used a scale based on seven aspects of subjective well-being, as expressed by White (2010). Furthermore, data analysis was carried out using an independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was no difference in the well-being score between the psychoeducational and control group (F (1,20) = 0.445, t = -0.446, p > 0.05). Meanwhile, the control group had higher well-being score in the post-test (n = 12, M = 103.17, SD = 16.596) than the psychoeducational group (n = 10, M = 100.20, SD = 14.148).

Abstract

This research article discusses academic stress that occurs in the lives of students during the pandemic and the alleged role of smartphones as the impact of stress they face. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of academic stress on smartphone addiction in MTs NII students in Medan City. Quantitative is the method used in this research. A total of 170 students were selected as subjects with quota sampling technique. Data were collected using the academic stress scale and the smartphone addiction scale. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using a linear regression analysis test. The results of this study found that there was a significant influence between academic stress on smartphone addiction. Data calculation analysis was performed using the SPSS 25 statistical program for Windows. The results prove that there is a significant relationship between Academic Stress and Smartphone Addiction, then from the analysis carried out there is a value (R: 0.602 and P: 0.000 <0.050). The contribution of the influence of academic stress on smartphone addiction in MTs NII students in Medan is 60.2 percent.

Abstract

This study examines the analysis of the forms of deviant behavior of students in modern Islamic boarding schools, the efforts made in overcoming the deviant behavior of students in modern Islamic boarding schools, and to determine the factors supporting and inhibiting the implementation of guidance and counseling in overcoming abnormal behavior of students. The location of this research is in Daar Al-Uluum Islamic Boarding School Kisaran, Asahan. This research is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data was collected using observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Research informants consisted of boarding school administrators, male students, and female students. The results of this study indicate that: The general forms of deviant behavior carried out by students at the Islamic boarding school of Daar Al-Uluum Kisaran, Asahan is truancy, smoking, fighting. Counseling efforts and services in overcoming students' deviant behavior at Pondok Pesantren Daar Al-Uluum Kisaran, Asahan take preventive, repressive, and curative actions. The factors causing students' bad behavior at Pondok Pesantren Daar Al-Uluum Kisaran, Asahan are friends, family factors, and self-control.

Abstract

Student motivation is one of the factors that affect student learning outcomes, and will not be separated from the environment that supports learning activities in students. The background where students live can also affect their learning motivation and learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to analyze and test hypotheses regarding the differences in learning motivation and learning outcomes of students at Al-Ulum Private High School Medan and Private Nurul Islam Indonesia High School Medan. The hypotheses of this study include: 1) There are differences in the learning motivation of students at the Al-Ulum Private High School Medan and the Private Nurul Islam Indonesia Senior High School Medan in the subject of Islamic Religious Education. 2) There are differences in student learning outcomes of Al-Ulum Private Senior High School Medan with Private Nurul Islam Indonesia High School Medan in Islamic Religious Education subjects. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a comparative technique with a quantitative approach. The population of this study were all students of Al-Ulum Private High School Medan and Private High School Nurul Islam Indonesia Medan class XI for the academic year 2021-2022. The sample size is 86 students, with the sampling technique used is quota sampling. The research instrument used is a student learning motivation questionnaire with 45 questions that have been tested for validity and reliability; and documentation of student learning outcomes obtained from students' daily test scores; Data analysis used Independent Sample T-Test. The conclusions obtained from the results of this study are: 1) The learning motivation of Al-Ulum Medan Private High School students is better than the learning motivation of Indonesian Nurul Islam Private High School students, it is shown by the Al-Ulum Private High School Medan students are more active in learning Religious Education Islam compared to the students of the Indonesian Nurul Islam Private High School. This is evidenced by the average value of the learning motivation of the private high school students of Al-Ulum Medan of 93.12 while the learning motivation of the students of the private high school of Nurul Islam Indonesia is 83.72. 2) The learning outcomes of the private high school students of Al-Ulum Medan have similarities with the learning outcomes of the private high school students of Nurul Islam Indonesia. This is evidenced by the average value of student learning outcomes of Al-Ulum Private High School Medan of 87.34 while the learning outcomes of Indonesian Nurul Islam Private High School students of 85.89. 3) There is a significant difference in student learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education subjects between Al-Ulum Private High School students and Nurul Islam Indonesian Private High School students with a significance level of 0.006. 4) There is no significant difference in student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects between Al-Ulum Private High School students and Nurul Islam Indonesian Private High School students with a significance level of 0.428.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) The effect of learning motivation on learning difficulties in new students; 2) The effect of coping stress on learning difficulties in new students; 3) The effect of learning motivation and coping stress on learning difficulties in new students. A total of 93 new students Batch 2020 Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Tjut Nyak Dhien University. The instrument used is a learning difficulty scale, a learning motivation scale and a stress coping scale. The data analysis used is assumption test and hypothesis test. The results show: 1) based on the assumption test, the research data proved normality, homogeneity and linearity; 2) there is a positive relationship and there is a significant influence between learning motivation on student learning difficulties during online learning, namely 51.4%; 3) there is a weak relationship and there is an effect of Coping Stress with the learning difficulties of new students which is very significant during the online learning period, which is 16%; 4) there is a positive relationship and there is an influence of Learning Motivation and Coping Stress with new students' learning difficulties during the online learning period of 58.6%.

Abstract

Belajar di rumah menjadikan terputusnya rantai penyebaran COVID-19. Pada menerapkan sistem belajar berasal rumah, orang tua sangat berperan krusial dalam proses belajar siswa selama sistem pembelajaran jeda jauh yang diterapkan seperti kini ini, jadi dengan adanya belajar dari tempat tinggal, orangtua lah yang menjadi pendidik pada tempat tinggal menjadi pengganti guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan buat mengetahui apa saja yang sebagai problematika orang tua pada mendidik anak di masa pandemi COVID-19. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, teknik analisis data dengan memvalidasi keakuratan info, teknik keabsahan data menggunakan uji internal validitas (dapat dipercaya), eksternal validitas (transferabilitas), reliablitas (dependability), objektivitas (konfirmabilitas). hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa problematika orang tua pada mendidik anak di masa pandemi covid-19 diantaranya mood anak yang sering berubah, anak menjadi kurang disiplin, anak merasa bosan belajar dirumah, orang tua membutuhkan tambahan kuota buat melancarkan kegiatan BDR. Adapun upaya upaya yang bisa dilakukan pada menuntaskan problematika tersebut salah satunya menggunakan cara menciptakan komunikasi yang baik supaya terbentuk mood yang baik bagi anak, khususnya buat melaksanakan pembelajaran jarak jauh, membimbing, serta memberikan motivasi pada anak agar lebih disiplin, menyampaikan edukasi kepada anak, melakukan variasi dan inovasi aktivitas di tempat tinggal supaya anak tidak cepat bosan.
