Abstract

The people of Lampung from the Balinese and Javanese tribes who inhabit the Seputih Banyak area of Central Lampung Regency have the arts of jathilanand joged bubungas part of their native arts. Both of these arts become the pride and can establish a close relationship in social life. To see the influence that exists in the arts of jathilanand joged bumbung, an ethnocoreological approach and a social system are used. Ethnochoreology is seen as capable of seeing, studying, and responding to various formsof regional dances from various tribes. Field and library methods are used to examine and examine the influence of these two arts in social relations. For this reason, the lives of the people of these two tribes are very tolerant in terms of art, social and culture. It is not surprising that this good social relationship until there are two folk arts of different types, origins, and cultures can be used as glue in social relations. Often in religious ceremonies, weddings, and national holidays this art appears. In the art performances, these two ethnic groups are always visited by both children, teenagers, and the elderly. Both jathilanand joged bubungperformances are in the form of an arena. The dancers are surrounded by spectators who can freely watch from anywhere. Jathilan art is generally performed in the afternoon until the evening, while joged bumbungis performed at night.

Abstract

Knowing that Performing mask art is getting rare in Indonesia, It is interesting to find out how the art survives and becomes the cultural icon of the regency, in this case, the Performing Tupping in Kesugihan Village, Kalianda, South Lampung. Performing Tupping (Mask) art in Kesugihan Village, Kalianda, South Lampung Regency is a very essential folk art that has been rearranged with character forms from several types. It is interesting to find the history and its taxonomy, from just a village performance until it becomes South Lampung’s cultural icon. This article attempted to describe the taxonomy of Tupping in Kesugihan village, Kalianda, as a cultural icon of South Lampung. The qualitative research was conducted to answer these research questions: 1. How was Tupping’s taxonomy at the beginning and what characteristic did it represent. 2. How is the taxonomy of the modern Tupping and what is behind them. The data were collected through observation, interview, and literary study. Tupping at the beginning was simpler, with only a few characters. They mostly depict ugly figures. Tupping can survive because It has been used since Radin Intan’s reign, especially by her knights for disguising to fight the Dutch. Later in their daily life, Tupping was used for worshipping the spirit and the ancestors and performed as entertainment for the villagers. Taxonomically, There are some types of Tupping with each respective character and what each philosophically means. it also evolves from time to time to catch up with modernization and globalization.

Abstract

This research is a dance ethnographic study that was conducted to trace the history of the serai serumpun dance which has lost its history. In the past, this dance was thought to have originally belonged to the Mesuji community and was an asset of the Mesuji Regency Education Office as well as the identity of the Mesuji Community of Lampung Province. This research will first discuss the form of the serai serumpun dance which is studied through the discipline of ethnochoreology. Then an assessment will also be made of the supporting culture of the serai serumpun dance, so as to obtain the values contained in it. By knowing these values, an identity of the people of Mesuji Regency will be obtained through the history of the serai serumpun dance.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is a disease outbreak that has had a negative impact on all levels of society, especially families, so it requires preparedness. This research provides health education on washing hands with soap using video media. The research design is one group pretest-posttest. The sample size is 138 people selected by stratified random sampling technique. Data was collected through observation, then analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Before the health education was carried out using video media, the respondents' preparedness was in the unprepared category, while after the health education was given it increased to the ready category. Statistical analysis showed a value of p = 0.000, so there was a difference in readiness between before and after carrying out health education on washing hands with soap using video media. It was concluded that health education on washing hands with soap using video media is effective in increasing family preparedness during the COVID-19 pandemic.Keywords: Covid -19; preparedness; washing hands ABSTRAK Pandemi  COVID-19 merupakan wabah penyakit yang sudah memberikan dampak buruk terhadap semua kalangan masyarakat terutama keluarga, sehingga memerlukan kesiapsiagaan. Penelitian ini memberikan pendidikan kesehatan cuci tangan pakai sabun dengan media video. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah one group pretest-posttest. Besar sampel adalah 138 orang yang dipilih dengan teknik stratified random sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, lalu dilakukan analisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon. Sebelum dilakukan pendidikan kesehatan dengan media video, kesiapsiagaan responden berada pada kategori kurang siap, sedangkan setelah diperikan pendidikan kesehatan meningkat ke dalam kategori siap. Analisis statistik menunjukkan nilai p = 0,000, maka ada perbedaan kesiapan antara sebelum dan sesudah dilalukan pendidikan kesehatan cuci tangan pakai sabun dengan media video. Disimpulkan bahwa pendidikan kesehatan cuci tangan pakai sabun dengan media video efektif untuk meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan keluarga di masa pandemi COVID-19.Kata kunci: Covid -19; kesiapsiagaan; cuci tangan

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan salah satu upaya dalam mengembangkan dan melestarikan sastra lisan Lampung khususnya pepancokh. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah muli mekhanai Desa Negeri Sakti mampu mengolah, mengembangkan, dan mengekspresikan sastra lisan Lampung pepancokh menjadi seni pertunjukan yang menarik dan bernilai. Hasil yang diharapkan melalui pengabdian ini adalah muli mekhanai mampu mengembangkan dan melestarikan sastra lisan Lampung pepancokh. Selanjutnya, pelatihan ini menerapkan pelatihan aktif yakni seluruh peserta bereksplorasi melalui pengalamannya sehingga tujuan dapat diperoleh secara optimal. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, tanya jawab, diskusi, demonstrasi, dan evaluasi. Peserta pelatihan ini sebanyak 25 orang yang tergabung dalam Muli Mekhanai Desa Negeri Sakti. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini diukur dari proses dan hasil pelatihan. Keberhasilan proses diukur dengan melakukan observasi terhadap beberapa aspek diantaranya keaktifan, ketekunan, kerjasama, dan tanggung jawab. Evaluasi terhadap hasil kegiatan diukur berdasarkan berdasarkan penguasaan materi pelatihan baik yang meliputi konsep maupun praktik sastra lisan sebagai bagian dari seni tradisi masyarakat.   Community service is one of the efforts in developing and preserving Lampung oral literature, especially pepancokh. The purpose of this service is that muli mekhanai Desa Negeri Sakti can process, design, and express Lampung pepancokh oral literature into exciting and valuable performing arts. The expected result through this service is that muli mekhanai can develop and preserve Lampung pepancokh oral literature. Furthermore, this training applies active training in which all participants explore their experiences to obtain goals optimally. The method used is lecture, question and answer, discussion, demonstration, and evaluation. The participants of this training are 25 members of the Muli Mekhanai, Negeri Sakti Village. The success of this activity is measured by the process and results of the movement. The success of the process is measured by observing several aspects, including activeness, perseverance, cooperation, and responsibility. Evaluation of the results of the activities is measured based on the mastery of the training material, which includes the concept and practice of oral literature as part of the traditional arts of the community.

Abstract

The Kiamat Dance is the closing dance of the ruwah or traditional wedding of the White Blood Queendom (Keratuan Darah Putih) for seven days and seven nights, known as nuhot. The Kiamat Dance, with its history rooted in the traditions of the White Blood Queendom, holds significant cultural and social value. As the closing dance of the ruwah, this dance symbolizes the culmination of the wedding festivities and marks the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of the newlyweds. The presence of this dance in various events beyond weddings highlights its versatility and adaptability, reflecting its enduring appeal and relevance in contemporary society. Through its rich symbolism and intricate movements, the Kiamat Dance embodies the core values and beliefs of the White Blood Queendom, serving as a testament to the community's cultural heritage and identity. This research aimed to describe the history, development, and local wisdom in the Kiamat Dance from Kuripan Village, South Lampung. This research employed a qualitative approach to produce descriptive data. The underlying theory used in this study was the behavioristic theory. Data collection techniques involved field observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the art of the Kiamat Dance is the closing dance of the ruwah, a series of events for seven days and seven nights at the wedding in the White Blood Queendom. The Kiamat Dance is present on the last night as a closing dance. This dance was originally only found in the wedding ceremony of descendants of the White Blood Queendom. Still, almost every event has this dance nowadays, both in welcoming special guests and celebrating holidays. The values in this dance include religious, social, aesthetic, and educational values.
