Abstract

Islamic Education research faces fundamental methodological problems, where its four main pillars, namely problem formulation, variables, literature review, and hypothesis, still often adopt secular research paradigms without adequate adaptation. This causes the research to lose its Islamic authenticity. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of library research . The data analysis techniques used are qualitative content analysis and conceptual analysis . The results of the study show that: 1). Authentic research problems are that research problems in Islamic education are formulated by identifying gaps between Islamic values (Tawhid, Maqashid Sharia ) and the empirical reality of Muslim education. Authentic problems arise from the intersection of normative criticism and field observations. 2). Variable Ontology is that theocentric variables (such as sincerity, piety) are operationalized through a hybrid model that combines behavioral indicators (observed) and spiritual indicators (psychometrics) to maintain their conceptual validity without reducing meaning. 3). Naqli-aqli integration is that the literature review is constructed through the integration of three models: confirmation (naqli and aqli agree), correction (naqli criticizes aqli), and construction (the synthesis of the two gives birth to a new theory). This builds a solid and contextual theoretical foundation. 4). Reflective hypothesis is that the hypothesis is formulated as a bridge that unites normative premises (from naqli) with empirical assumptions (from aqli) in a deductive framework (from general principles to specific assumptions) and inductive (testing through data). The findings of this study can be implemented through the preparation of operational guidelines for Islamic education research methodology that contain a complete framework of the four key elements. This guideline contains practical procedures for formulating problems based on the gap between Islamic values and reality, a hybrid theocentric variable operationalization model, a naqli-aqli integrative literature review template , and the formulation of reflective hypotheses.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to describe and analyze the effectiveness and challenges of using social media as a medium for da'wah in Islamic religious education, particularly in enhancing religious awareness. Method: Employing a library research approach, this study draws upon books, peer-reviewed journal articles, and research reports as primary data sources. Results: The findings indicate that da'wah through social media is effective in raising religious awareness, especially among younger audiences, when delivered through creative formats such as short videos and live streaming. Effective strategies to optimize its use include the creation of engaging content, enhancing the digital literacy of preachers (da'is), fostering collaborations with influencers, and maintaining active interaction with audiences. However, challenges persist, including the potential spread of inaccurate religious information, limited digital competence among da'is, public skepticism toward digital da'wah, and unsupportive social media algorithms. Novelty: This research highlights the dual role of social media as both an opportunity and a challenge for Islamic religious education, offering insights into how strategic digital engagement can transform traditional da'wah practices to meet contemporary needs.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to explore the impact of nature on Islamic education, focusing on the concept of fitrah (innate human potential) and its implications for developing a balanced education system that nurtures both cognitive and affective aspects. Method: A library research approach was used, analyzing books, scientific articles, and papers relevant to the topic. Results: The study finds that the concept of fitrah in Islamic educational philosophy emphasizes the intrinsic human potential for knowing God and doing good, which contrasts with the environmental focus of empiricism. The integration of fitrah in Islamic education promotes holistic development, covering intellectual, spiritual, and moral dimensions, advocating for an educational approach that nurtures inborn abilities while fostering morality and spirituality. Novelty: This research contributes to the understanding of how fitrah can be integrated into Islamic educational practices, offering a balanced curriculum, learning methods aligned with Islamic values, and an environment conducive to optimizing human potential. It provides a comparative analysis of fitrah and other philosophical schools, highlighting its unique role in shaping holistic education.

Abstract

Abstract

Quranic literacy is an important part of Islamic education, especially at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level as a foundation for developing the ability to read, understand, and practice Islamic teachings from an early age. However, at the Lima Puluh Kota State Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, various problems are still found, such as many students who are not yet fluent in reading the Quran, inaccuracy in pronouncing the letters, weak understanding of tajweed, and low interest in reading the Quran. This condition requires real efforts through community service activities in the form of training to strengthen Quranic literacy through the tahsin method. This activity aims to improve students' ability to read the Quran properly and correctly according to the rules of tajweed and strengthen teacher competence in guiding Quranic learning. The service method used is Service Learning with the stages of problem identification, program planning, implementation of tahsin training, direct practice, teacher mentoring, reading evaluation, and pretest and posttest. The implementation of the activity demonstrated an improvement in students' ability to read the Quran, particularly in fluency, accuracy of pronunciation, and application of Tajweed rules. Furthermore, students gained more confidence in reading the Quran, while teachers found it easier to provide ongoing coaching. Thus, this tahsin training made a positive contribution to strengthening Quranic literacy in the madrasah environment.
