Abstract

Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh metode pembelajaran yang dilakukan Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa IPS kelas VII SMPN 03 Solok Selatan tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan tipe eksperimen, Berdasarkan hasil penelitian Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Group Investigation (GI) Terhadap Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa kelas VII Di SMPN 03 Solok Selatan Tahun Ajaran 2023/2024 terdapat rata-rata nilai posttest  pada kelas eksperimen adalah 81,78 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 23 orang dan rata-rata kelas kontrol 66,69 dengan jumlah siswa 9 orang. Berdasarkan hasil uji t penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation (GI)  terhadap hasil belajar siswa dimana 0.0000.05. Artinya hipotesis dalam penelitian ini di terima karena memiliki pengaruh antara model pembelajaran dengan hasil belajar.

Abstract

This article discusses cultural resistance carried out by Indonesian society in facing colonial domination, especially by the Dutch, which attempted to erode local identity through various assimilation policies. With the background of colonial history, this article reviews forms of cultural resistance that are manifested in efforts to maintain language, tradition, art, and nationalist movements. Local education and traditional arts, such as wayang and gamelan, are used as effective symbolic resistance tools in raising nationalist awareness. The national movement also shows the collaboration between culture and politics as a means of resistance against colonialism. Indonesian society developed resilience strategies through cultural adaptation and negotiation, where local values ​​are maintained despite foreign influences. This article emphasizes that cultural resistance not only maintains identity but also forms the basis of national consciousness that plays an important role in the struggle for independence.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Balai Besar Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Kesejahteraan Sosial (BBPPKS) Kota Padang dalam penanganan korban kekerasan seksual terhadap anak. Metode dalam penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan tipe deskriptif. Menurut Bogdan dan Taylor, metode penelitian kualitatif adalah prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis ataupun lisan dari orang-orang dan perilaku yang diamati. Peran BBPPKS Kota Padang dalam penanganan korban kekerasan seksual terhadap anak dapat disimpulkan dalam dua bentuk: (1) Peran sebagai fasilitator, yakni memberikan motivasi, kesempatan, dan dukungan bagi korban selama rehabilitasi berupa pelatihan, bantuan layanan kesehatan, bantuan pendidikan terhadap anak korban, serta bantuan sosial kepada orang tua korban berupa modal usaha. (2) Peran sebagai pembimbing, yakni meliputi pemberian edukasi, informasi, dan bimbingan kepada orang tua korban.

Abstract

This research was dilatory by the role of Dukun Manten who still plays an active role in the implementation of Javanese traditional marriages in Suka Damai Village, Rimbo Ulu Dis- trict, Tebo Regency, Jamb Province. The role of the dukun manten is very important in the procession of the Javanese traditional wedding ceremony. The dukun manten must also be able to provide views on the planned event based on the experiences that have been carried out so that it is in accordance with what is expected by those who have the intention. As a result, the authors found that the role of the dukun manten in Suka Damai Village, Rimbo Ulu District, Tebo Regency, Jambi Province, which includes: 1. The role of the man- ten shaman in Suka Damai Village 2. Performing Siraman, 3. Installing paes, 4. Performing the Sembaga tradition, 5. Carrying out initi from the Javanese traditional ceremony, namely Temon btide.

Abstract

This study explores bullying behavior and the efforts made by the school to address bullying at SMP Negeri 23 Kerinci. The objectives of the research are: (1) to describe the forms of bullying behavior occurring at SMP Negeri 23 Kerinci, and (2) to analyze the school's strategies in addressing these behaviors. A qualitative approach was used, with a case study as the research design. The research subject is SMP Negeri 23 Kerinci, specifically in relation to its handling of bullying issues. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that bullying at the school occurs in both verbal and physical forms. Verbal bullying includes mocking others by using their parents’ names or giving them unusual nicknames. Physical bullying involves fighting, pushing, hitting, and disturbing others while they are writing or doing schoolwork. To address bullying behavior, the school has implemented several measures. These include an anti-bullying program aimed at raising awareness and prevention, the enforcement of school rules to maintain discipline, and collaboration among school stakeholders such as teachers, staff, and parents. These efforts reflect the school's commitment to creating a safe and supportive environment for all students.

Abstract

Deforestation within the Taman Nasional Kerinci Seblat (TNKS) in Kerinci Regency is a serious problem that impacts the sustainability of the ecosystem and the social life of the surrounding community. As a conservation area, TNKS plays an important role in preserving biodiversity, regulating water management, and supporting the livelihoods of local communities. However, pressure from agricultural land use, settlement, and economic activities has led to rampant forest encroachment. This research was motivated by increasing forest degradation in the TNKS area, which poses a threat to environmental sustainability and social welfare. The purpose of this study is to analyze the environmental and social impacts of forest encroachment in the foothills of Mount Kerinci, Kerinci Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a field study approach through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data was obtained from the surrounding community, TNKS management officials, and supporting documents, then analyzed qualitatively with an emphasis on the cause-and-effect relationship between encroachment activities and their impacts. The results of the study show that the environmental impacts include loss of forest cover, declining water quality, increased soil erosion, reduced wildlife habitat, and increased risk of ecological disasters such as floods and landslides. Meanwhile, the social impacts that have emerged include increased conflict between the community and TNKS management, shifts in local cultural values, social inequality due to land disputes, and the community's economic dependence on illegal activities in the forest area. Thus, forest encroachment in TNKS not only threatens environmental sustainability but also causes complex social problems for the surrounding community.

Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and process so that students actively develop their potential to possess spiritual and religious strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and the skills needed by themselves and society. This study also aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing interactive media and its impact on learning outcomes in social studies at MTsN 6 Lima Puluh Kota. This study used qualitative methods. Qualitative research is a research approach that aims to explore and understand social phenomena, behavior, experiences, and individual perspectives. The population and sample of the researcher selected seventh-grade students as the research objects. The informants for this study were the social studies teacher, students, and the curriculum vice principal. Data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observation, and documentation with the social studies teacher and seventh-grade students. The results of this study indicate that PowerPoint-based interactive media can increase student engagement in the learning process, facilitate understanding of the material, and create a more interesting and enjoyable learning atmosphere. However, there are several obstacles such as limited facilities and teacher skills in developing interactive media. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of interactive PowerPoint media has positive potential in increasing the effectiveness of social studies learning, provided it is supported by adequate training and facilities. ABSTRAKPendidikan adalah usaha sadar dan terencana untuk mewujudkan suasana belajar dan proses pembelajaran agar peserta didik secara aktif mengembangkan potensi dirinya untuk memiliki kekuatan spiritual keagamaan, pengendalian diri, kepribadian, kecerdasan, akhlak mulia serta ketrampilan yang diperlukan dirinya dan masyarakat. Dan juga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas penerapan media interaktif serta dampaknya terhadap hasil belajar mata pelajaran IPS di MTsN 6 Lima Puluh Kota. Penelitian ini mengunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian kualitatif adalah pendekatan penelian yang bertujuan untuk mengali dan memehami fenomena sosisal,prilaku,pengalaman,dan presspektif individu. Populasi dan sampelnya peneliti mengambil objek penelitian di kelas VII.  Informan penelitian ini berkaitan dengan guru IPS, Siswa, dan Waka kurikulum. Teknik pengumpulan data di lakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap guru mata pelajaran IPS sertasiswa kelas VII. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa media interaktif berbasis powerpoint mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses belajar, mempermudah pemahaman materi, serta menciptakan suasana belajar yang lebih menarik dan menyenangkan. Namun demikian, terdapat beberapa kendala seperti keterbatasan fasilitas dan keterampilan guru dalam mengembangkan media yang interaktif. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengunaan media powerpoint interaktif memiliki potensi positif dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran IPS, asalkan di dukung dengan pelatihan dan sarana yang memadai.

Abstract

Student-centered learning models are believed to deepen understanding and increase student engagement in learning activities. To support this, the government developed the Independent Curriculum, which provides cues to teachers in delivering material and encourages the use of various learning strategies. This study aims to examine the effect of the implementation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on the cognitive learning outcomes of seventh-grade students in social studies at MTsN 3 Pesisir Selatan, and to assess the extent to which PBL can increase student participation during the learning process. This quantitative research used an experimental method and purposive sampling technique. Data were obtained through observation and tests, then analyzed using normality, homogeneity, hypothesis testing, and N-Gain tests. The results showed that the PBL model had a significant effect on students' cognitive achievement. The Mann-Whitney U test showed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes, with a significance level of <0.001. The N-Gain analysis showed an increase in learning outcomes of 22% in the experimental class (categorized as quite effective) and only 6% in the control class (categorized as ineffective). These findings indicate that PBL is an innovative learning alternative that is feasible to implement, especially in social studies.

Abstract

Juvenile delinquency refers to actions that violate societal norms, rules, or laws, often stemming from unresolved conflicts and problems carried over from childhood into adolescence. In the school environment, such misconduct remains a recurring challenge for many educational institutions. This study aims to describe the roles of principals and teachers in addressing juvenile delinquency within schools. Employing a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design, the research seeks to understand the lived experiences of research subjects, including their behaviors, perceptions, motivations, and actions. Informants were selected based on specific criteria, encompassing school administrators (principals, vice principals, and student affairs coordinators), homeroom teachers, guidance and counseling teachers, students involved in delinquent behavior, and their parents. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document analysis. The findings emphasize that schools should serve not only as centers for academic learning but also as environments that foster moral and social values, equip students with essential life skills, and engage them in constructive activities that promote personal growth and responsible behavior.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of grade XI F4 students in Sociology at Adabiah 2 High School, Padang. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes using the Teaching at the Right Level (TARL) learning approach. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) formulated by Ari Kunto, which consists of four components: (1) Planning, (2) Action, (3) Observation, (4) Reflection, using a mixed methods approach. The research data consisted of information about the results of the actions obtained from observations of teacher activities and student learning outcome tests. This research was conducted in two cycles. The results of the first cycle of research showed that the average student learning outcome score remained around 70.6, with only 39.5% completing tasks and 59.9% not completing tasks. In the second cycle, student learning outcomes increased to an average of 84.8, with 83.5% completing tasks and a decrease of 16.6% not completing tasks. This indicates an improvement in learning outcomes, as seen in the second cycle, with an increase in average student scores. This demonstrates that learning outcomes improve with the use of the TaRL approach in sociology.
