Abstract

Pemenuhan pangan menjadi isu yang sensitif didalam pembangunan karena akan mempengaruhi kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara. Pemenuhan pangan sangat ditentukan oleh ketersediaan pangan yang bergizi yang didukung dengan pengetahuan tentang gizi yang baik sebagai akibat dari semakin baiknya kualitas Sumberdaya manusia. Menciptakan SDM berkualitas sangat tergantung pada kualitas gizi yang dikonsumsi. Sehingga saling ketergantungan SDM dan pangan menarik untuk dilakukan kajian. Untuk itu, tulisan ini akan mengkaji bagaimana kualitas dan peran SDM pangan untuk mendukung pemenuhan pangan yang pada akhirnya dapat mencapai ketahanan dan kedaulan pangan. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan studi pustaka atau telaah literatur dan hasil penelitian terdahulu, buku teks maupun sumber ilmiah lainya baik online maupu offline. Data sekunder merupakan data diperoleh dari berbagai sumber serta dari Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) yang selanjutnya dianalisa sesuai dengan tujuan penulisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas SDM petani baik dilihat dari segi umur dan tingkat pendidikan formal cenderung kurang memadai (kategori rendah) untuk menunjang pengembangan sektor pertanian dalam pemenuhan pangan untuk masa yang akan datang. Untuk itu, diperlukan kebijakan dibidang pertanian yang pro kepada petani dan khususnya generasi muda, melalui kebijakan yang mendukung peningkatan pendidikan serta adanya pelatihan dan penyuluhan yang sesuai dengan kondisi sumberdaya yang tersedia disuatu wilayah

Abstract

Keripik pisang merupakan hasil olahan bahan pangan pertanian yang dijadikan sebagai makanan ringan. Usaha pembuatan keripik pisang yang terdapat di Desa Ranombayasa Kecamatan Mowila Kabupaten Konawe Selatan berskala rumahtangga (homeindustry). Pembuatan keripik  pisang skala rumahtangga ini awalnya dilakukan secara keci-kecilan dan dipasarkan di kios-kios yang ada di sekitar Desa Ranombayasa. Proses pembuatan keripik tersebut dilakukan berdasarkan pada pengalaman pelaku usaha secara otodidak. Disamping itu, saat memulai usaha pembuatan keripik, hanya dilakukan oleh anggota keluarga saja, namun saat ini usaha pembuatan keripik pisang tersebut sudah mempekerjakan 6 (enam) orang tenaga kerja. Usaha pembuatan keripik pisang berawal dari modal sendiri dengan modal awal Rp1.000.000,-. Dari jumlah modal tersebut dikelola sehingga berkembang sampai saat ini. Keripik yang dihasilkan dalam sekali produksi bernilai Rp8.000.000,-, biaya yang dikeluarkan sebesar Rp4.201.417,-, keuntungan yang diperoleh sebesar Rp3.798.583,-. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa usaha pembuatan keripik pisang di Desa Ranombayasa Kecamatan Mowila Kabupaten Konawe Selatan secara ekonomi memberikan keuntungan bagi pelaku usaha skala rumahtangga.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of communication in the information management process that occurs in farmer institutions to support cocoa development. This research is a survey research with a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The research location is in East Kolaka Regency with the target of LEMS cocoa farmers. The research location is in East Kolaka Regency with the target of LEMS cocoa farmers. Sampling as many as 267 farmers spread over 18 LEMS by proportional random sampling. Descriptive research data analysis. The results showed that the role of communication in LEMS institutions was in the medium category cocoa development. The role of communication that needs to be improved is the role in accessing information and mediating information. Information management is still dominantly sourced from explicit knowledge and does not accommodate knowledge from farmers' experience (tacit knowledge).

Abstract

Tujuan jangka panjang penelitian agar Kelompok Usaha  Bajo Indah dapat menjadi Usaha Kecil Menegah (UKM) yang tangguh dan mandiri serta berkontribusi dalam peningkatan PDRB Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Tujuan jangka pendek, adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) besarnya nilai tambah produk terasi  instan, (2) besarnya pengaruh variabel bahan baku, tenaga kerja, upah tenaga kerja, harga output, harga bahan baku, dan biaya input lain terhadap nilai tambah produk terasi instan, (3) meningkatnya pendapatan Kelompok Usaha Bajo Indah, dan (4) tanggapan atau penilaian konsumen terhadap produk terasi intan. Untuk menjawab tujuan, digunakan analisis: (1) nilai tambah menggunakan konsep Hayami; (2) regresi berganda; (3) analisis pendapatan;  (4) analisis deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian di  Kelurahan Lapulu  Kecamatan Abeli Kota Kendari. Penarikan sampel pedagang dilakukan secara Snowball.  Sementara sampel  konsumen  diambil  180  orang  secara  sengaja (purposive  sampling)  dengan asumsi mereka yang terpilih menjada sampel dianggap dapat  mewakili konsumen.              Hasil   analisis   menunjukkan   bahwa: (1) Pengolahan terasi instan memberikan nilai tambah sebesar Rp68.630,00, (2)  Secara simultan variabel peubah x (kapasitas produksi, bahan baku, tenaga kerja, harga output, upah tenaga kerja, harga bahan baku, dan sumbangan input lain) menunjukkan pengaruh secara signifikan pada tingkat α = 0,1. Secara parsial  kapasitas produksi terasi instan berpengaruh  terhadap  nilai  tambah,   sedangkan   variabel  peubah  lainnya  tidak  signifikan (α = 0,1), (3) Besar pendapatan bersih anggota kelompok setiap bulan  sebesar rata-rata Rp1.105.440,00 diperoleh dari pengurangan nilai output  dengan nilai input  (Rp4.340.840,00 – Rp3.235.400,00),  (4) Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dari 180 konsumen umumnya memberi penilaian terhadap jenis kemasan dan kepraktisan dalam pemakaian umumnya mengatakan bagus dan cukup bagus, sedangkan dari segi harga dan rasa, umumnya menyatakan relatif murah dan  enak.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the determinants of farmers’ learning patterns in developing organic lowland rice. This research is a survey research with the research location in Lambandia District, East Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The was chosen because some farmers have applied organic lowland rice cultivation technology. The research period was for three months, from July to September 2021. The number of samples was 62 farmers by the census. Research variables were farmers’ characteristics, access to information media, support of supporting factors, and farmer learning patterns. collecting data with structured interviews using a questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS analysis. The results showed that the farmer’s learning pattern was through imitation of innovation with the support of the availability of creation and assistance. Farmer characteristics, supporting factors, and farmer access to information affect farmer learning patterns.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine and analyze: (1) The combination of land use that can provide optimal revenue for dryland farmers, (2) The amount of free time that has not been utilized by farmers in dryland farming activities in order to improve the income and welfare of dryland farmers. Data analysis used was the analysis of linear programming (Soekartawi, 2002), and revenue analysis. Research results showed that: (1) income from corn farming in the amount of Rp 3,920,109, and income from peanut farming of Rp 5,449,271; (2) the use of land resources for corn and peanut farming was still not optimal. To achieve optimum farming, it was better to grow peanuts rather that corn, with a minimum area of ​​0.249 hectares; and (3) labor used by farmers for the production of corn had an average of 25.58 working days or 162.58 working days per-hectare, and for peanut farming, required 11.22 working days or 218.47 working days per-hectare. The employment rate for corn and peanut farmings was 58%. Farmers still had 42% spare time for peanut farming, and for other farm expansion.   Keywords: welfare, dry land, leisure, business productive, income

Abstract

The research objectives were to determine: (1) the agricultural model development strategy of Agribusiness Consulting Clinic; and (2) the internal and external factors of Agricultural Extension Centers to develop the agricultural extension model of Agribusiness Consulting Clinic. The data collection was conducted in sub-District Ranomeeto Barat, District Konawe Selatan in 2010. The Samples were the extension workers and the key person of the farmer group. The analysis SWOT used to analyze the data to reach the research objective. The results showed that: (1) the strategy that used was to develop the model Agribusiness Consulting Clinic were (a) improving service Agricultural Extension Centers as providers of agricultural technology to increase resource extension, (b) improving crop productivity in the region by making Agricultural Extension Centers as an Agribusiness Consulting Center, (c) improving access to information of agribusiness through farmer group-based approach, and (d) improving education facilities and infrastructure in supporting the implementation of farming technology; and (2) the internal factors consisted of: (a) strength: central government support and farm community, the Agricultural Extension Centers location close to farmland, extension workers who are skilled and experienced, the availability of demonstration garden, and institutional peasant (farmer groups); and (b) weakness: limited of extension means, limited field laboratory, lack of electricity and internet networks, and the lower of farmers participation. While the external factors consisted of (a) opportunities: demands of advanced agricultural technology, market presence of agribusiness product, and horticultural planting areas; and (b) threats: globalization, price instability, lack operational funds and government policy.

Abstract

Keberhasilan usaha budidaya ikan air tawar tergantung pada kualitas air yang digunakan. Wisata agrowisata ekologis terletak di Desa Tumbudadio Kecamatan Tirawuta Kabupaten Kolaka Timur memiliki sumber mata air yang tidak pernah kering. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas budidaya ikan air tawar menjadi objek wisata pemancingan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Tematik Universitas Halu Oleo terdiri dari observasi, tahap koordinasi dan pelaksanaan kegiatan penyuluhan untuk menarik wisatawan berkunjung di agrowisata ekologis Desa Tumbudadio.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the resources available to farmers and their adaptation strategies for cassava farming on marginal land in Jaya Makmur Village, Binongko District. The study population comprises 193 cassava farmers in Jaya Makmur Village. The informants were selected using the snowball sampling technique based on specific criteria, resulting in a total of 8 informants who met the criteria. The study employed observation, interviews, and documentation methods with research instruments in the form of interview guides to collect data. The data analysis method used was descriptive qualitative analysis, which involved three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The study suggests that cassava farmers on marginal land in Jaya Makmur Village face various challenges, including limited resources, economic factors, climate variability, soil quality, and social factors. To address these issues, farmers employ different adaptation strategies, such as active, passive, and network strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) analyze the pattern of farmer partnerships in seaweed marketing in Kolese Village, Pasikolaga District, Muna Regency, (2) Analyze how partnerships in the seaweed marketing sector in Kolese Village, Pasikolaga District, Muna Regency, affect farmers' income. This study was carried out in November 2022 in the Kolese Village, Pasikolaga District, Muna Regency, with a total of 20 respondents chosen by a straightforward random selection method. data analysis using class intervals and descriptive statistics. The results of this study show that (1) In Kolese Village, Pasikolaga District, and Muna Regency, farmer partnerships in the overall trade pattern are fairly excellent, and client patron partnership patterns in seaweed marketing channels are good. The price in both partnership models used by seaweed farmers in the Kolese Village, Pasikolaga District, and Muna Regency is quite good, (2) Seaweed plan income is relatively low below the average monthly net income of informal workers in Muna Regency agricultural farming. However, from a nominal, the income of farmers who carry out the client-patron partnership pattern is higher than farmers who carry out the general trade partnership pattern.
