Abstract

The phenomenon in this research is the decline in the number of marriage registrations at Ministry of Religious Affairs/KUA. According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Religion in the last three years, the marriage rate in Indonesia has decreased drastically. Around two million marriages will decrease by 2024. Meanwhile, according to the 2018 in the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) report, the creative economy subsector contributes greatly to the national economy, with a contribution of 7.44% to Gross Domestic Product (GDP), one of the MSMEs in the creative economy subsector namely MSME EO. With the decline in the number of KUA registrations, MSMEs in the marriage sector are experiencing market saturation. Therefore, marketing performance (variable y) is required, including competitive advantage (variable z) as moderation and (variable x) namely digital marketing and market orientation. This research used quantitative and saturated sampling techniques. The population involved 101 MSME actors in the field of Event Organizer (EO) in DKI Jakarta. Employing SMART PLS 4.0, the results of this research indicate that digital marketing and market orientation have a significant influence on EO marketing performance in DKI Jakarta. However, competitive advantage cannot moderate digital marketing and market orientation.

Abstract

This research examines the profitability of the sub-construction infrastructure sector within the building industry, as listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2018-2022 period. The study aims to assess both the direct and indirect effects of working capital management, institutional ownership, and asset efficiency on profitability, with capital structure serving as an intervening variable. Utilizing panel data regression analysis, the research focused on a sample of seventeen companies from the building construction sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the specified period. The findings indicate that asset efficiency significantly influences profitability, whereas working capital management and institutional ownership do not. Additionally, capital structure is found to have no effect on profitability. Indirectly, neither working capital management nor institutional ownership, nor asset efficiency, when mediated by capital structure, show any impact on profitability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of carbon tax implementation on green investment and state tax revenue through a comparative study between Indonesia and China. The carbon tax is considered a policy instrument that not only drives carbon emission reductions but also creates new economic opportunities, particularly in the renewable energy sector. This research employs a qualitative method using content analysis and a scoping review approach to examine secondary data from various international sources. The findings reveal that the implementation of carbon taxes in both countries significantly contributes to the growth of green investment and state revenue. China has demonstrated global leadership through its carbon tax policies supported by substantial investments in renewable energy sectors such as solar and wind power. Conversely, Indonesia, while at an early stage of implementation, exhibits great potential in attracting green investments with more effective policy support and the development of green energy infrastructure. Additionally, carbon taxes contribute to significant carbon emission reductions, as evidenced by studies highlighting the long-term benefits of this policy. This study concludes that the carbon tax functions not only as a fiscal tool to increase state revenue but also as a catalyst for a sustainable green economic transition. Consistent implementation of carbon taxes, supported by policy frameworks and stakeholder collaboration, has the potential to accelerate the transition toward a low-carbon economy in both countries.

Abstract

Studies have shown that coal fly ash (CFA) can improve soil physical properties (such as bulk density) and increase available water content. However, its pozzolanic properties may also contribute to soil compaction. The overall impact of these contrasting effects on soil behavior remains insufficiently understood. This study investigated the effects of CFA amendment on soil resistance, water retention, and corn root growth in sandy soil. Using a completely randomized design, the research was conducted at the Taman Bogo Agricultural Station in East Lampung for two planting seasons (October 2022 - June 2023). Four CFA rates (0%, 3%, 6%, and 12% w/w) were applied in lysimeter plots with five replications. The results demonstrated that CFA application reduced soil bulk density (BD) at 6% and 12% rates due to CFA’s lower BD than the soil. However, higher CFA doses increased soil penetration resistance (PR), likely due to surface crust formation rather than pozzolanic reactions. Plant available water capacity (PAWC) significantly increased by 6% and 12% CFA, thus improving soil water retention. Improving physical properties in the second season promoted root growth at the 12% CFA rate. The use of CFA in sandy soils leads to improvement in selected physical properties and enhances water retention. Therefore, while CFA enhances water retention, its effects on soil compaction and root growth must be carefully managed to ensure optimal results.

Abstract
