Abstract

Global demand for fossil energy continues to increase, affecting both the environment and energy availability. This study aims to describe the energy crisis and its impacts, the adoption of renewable energy (RE), and the educational challenges in addressing these problems in Indonesia.  The Systematic Literature Review method was conducted using Harzing’s Publish or Perish application, which indexed articles from Scopus and Google Scholar, using the keywords “energy crisis,” “renewable energy,” “energy education Indonesia,” and “impact of fossil energy.” The review covered publications from 2017 to March 2025. A total of 116 articles met the eligibility criteria. The results indicate that the environmental impacts include increases in CO2 emissions driven by urbanization, industrialization, and transportation. Globally, RE adoption remains at only 1%. The use of renewable energy in Indonesia is relatively low, at 11.31% of the available energy supply. Indonesia’s educational strategies include establishing specialized schools for the development of RE, curriculum support, and implementing project-based learning. These strategies must be replicated and further developed by other institutions. Through these efforts, Indonesia is expected to become more aware of the limitations and impacts of fossil energy and better able to utilize the availability of renewable energy.

Abstract

The photovoltaic experiment provided a simple, affordable method to determine Planck’s constant through empirical learning. This experiment allowed students to present concrete data using easily available, low-cost materials. The experiment utilised a photovoltaic method, employing a simple, self-designed setup that used three laser pointers with wavelengths of 650nm (red), 535nm (green), and 405nm (blue) as independent variables. A 6V, 1W mini solar cell was used as the target, while the speed of light and electron charge were treated as control variables. The laser pointers were powered by a 3V battery. The data were analysed by plotting the relationship between 1/λ (inverse wavelength) and the measured voltage as the dependent variable. A linear regression analysis was performed to obtain the gradient, which was used to calculate Planck’s constant. The experiment yielded a calculated Planck’s constant of 7.09×10-35Js, with a deviation of 5.69 x 10-34Js, resulting in a relative error of 8.89%. This relative error could be attributed to several factors, including refraction effects caused by the glass layer and adhesive used to protect the semiconductor plate of the solar cell, as well as discrepancies between the actual wavelengths of the laser beams and the labelled wavelengths on the laser pointers.

Abstract

This work investigated the effect of post-annealing treatment on the fabrication of zinc oxide (ZnO) thin film by spraying deposition method. Based on SEM analysis, the annealed ZnO thin film at 400˚C presented better uniformity as compared to the non-annealed film. Further measurement by UV-Vis revealed that the lowest optical band gap energy (Eg) (3.22 eV) was achieved by 400˚C sample. These results confirmed that post-annealing treatment enhanced the optical and morphological properties of the fabricated ZnO thin film.

Abstract

It has been done, the research which aims to develop a web-based teaching materials on the subjects of physics subject with subject mater of temperature and heat. This study using a modified model of the 4D development by eliminating the deployment phase. The validation of product development conducted by validator media experts and experts matter of physics, whereas small-scale trials conducted by physics teacher and 10 students. Validator review results stating that the quality of the product development were included in the category very well with the average percentage rating of 83.93%. The percentage value assigned by media expert by 75% in the good category and the percentage of the value provided by a matter expert 92.85% were in the very good category. Experiments by physics teacher to obtain result of equal to 94.44% were in the very good category and the average percentage of the test results by the students of 90.5% were in the very good category. The characteristics of the products developed include material composition using the curriculum in 2013, there was a recording facility and the results of evaluation of students' activities, there were feedback evaluation results were immediately known by the students and there were some links related to the material either youtube or other learning website.
