Abstract

This research aims to describe the influence of the Quantum Learning model on reviewing review texts for class VIII MTsN Solok City students for the 2022/2023 academic year. This research was conducted at MTsN Solok City in class VIII semester II in February 2023. This type of research is quantitative using experimental methods. Research data was obtained through performance tests. The sample in the study consisted of 58 students who were divided into 2 classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The experimental class uses the Quantum Learning model, the control class does not use the Quantum Learning model. The results of this research with an average score for reviewing review texts in the control class of 72.6 are more than adequate. The average score in the experimental class is 84.7 with good qualifications. To determine whether or not there is an influence of the Quantum Learning model, a prerequisite test for data normality using the Lilliefors test is carried out, and a homogeneity test using the F test. Followed by hypothesis testing using the t test with the condition that sig < 0.05. The results of this test show that there is an influence of the Quantum Learning model on reviewing students' review texts because in the t test table the value obtained is tcount = 14.83 > ttable = 2.763. So H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Quantum Learning model on reviewing review texts for class VIII students in the second semester of MTsN Solok City for the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of teacher speech acts in teaching and learning interactions which greatly influence student learning activities, encourage changes in behavior and provide language experience for students. Middle school students were chosen as research tools because middle school students are teenagers who have a lot of expression when communicating. The communication carried out by teachers and students during the teaching and learning process is of course based on the conditions felt by the teacher and students. This research aims to describe the expressive speech acts of teacher and student interactions in Indonesian language learning at SMP Negeri 3 This type of research is qualitative, with descriptive methods. The data collection technique used is (1) The researcher records teacher and student speech during the learning process, until the data obtained is sufficient, (2) The recording results are transcribed from spoken language into written language. The data sources for this research are teachers and students in the teaching and learning process at SMP N 3 Based on the results of research on expressive speech acts of teacher and student interaction in Indonesian language learning at SMP Negeri 3 X Koto Singkarak, researchers found 87 data on expressive speech acts. Expressive speech acts in the form of anger were found in 39 data, expressive speech acts in the form of surprise were found in 10 data, expressive speech acts in the form of resignation were found in 2 data, expressive speech acts in the form of happiness were found in 5 data, expressive speech acts in the form of disgust were found in 4 data, Expressive speech acts in the form of hate were found in 1 data, expressive speech acts in the form of admitting were found in 21 data, expressive speech acts in the form of congratulations were not found in speech acts, expressive speech acts in the form of pity were found in 5 data. Of all the expressive speech acts found, the most frequently found were expressive speech acts in the form of anger. Anger occurs because the expected situation does not match reality.

Abstract

Using a qualitative descriptive research approach and percentage calculations, this research examines the level of satisfaction of partner schools with Educational Field Practice (PLK) students. The research focuses on the findings of a satisfaction level analysis conducted at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mahaputra Muhammad Yamin University for PLK Mitra School students in the Odd Semester 2024–2025. The concepts, principles and policies of the 2022 PLK guidebook form the basis of this study approach. PLK has eight partner schools, including seven SMPN and one SMAN in public schools in Solok City and Regency. The results of the Partner School's level of satisfaction with educational field practice students, based on comprehensive data analysis, show that the Partner School's satisfaction with PLK on student ethics was found to be very satisfied (87.5%), communication skills were found to be less satisfied (75%), use of technology was satisfied (84.35%), collaboration was satisfied (81.25%), self-development was less satisfied (75%), and teaching competence was satisfied (81.25%). Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of Think Pair Share (TPS) type cooperative learning model and mathematical disposition on students' metacognitive skills in solving mathematical problems on the material of counting operations of small numbers. Using a 2x2 factorial experimental design, this study involved 48 fourth grade elementary school students in Padang City. The results of the two-way analysis of variance showed: (1) there was a significant difference in metacognitive skills between students taught using TPS and expository models (F(1, 44) = 25.432, *p* < 0.001, η² = 0.366); (2) there was no significant interaction between learning model and mathematical disposition (F(1, 44) = 0.021, *p* = 0. 886); (3) in the high mathematical disposition group, students taught with the TPS model showed better metacognitive skills compared to the expository model (*t*(22) = 7.12, *p* < 0.001, *d* = 2. 93); (4) in the low mathematical disposition group, students taught with the TPS model also showed better metacognitive skills compared to the expository model (*t*(22) = 4.23, *p* < 0.001, *d* = 1.66). These findings indicate that the TPS learning model is effective in improving students' metacognitive skills, both for students with high and low mathematical disposition.
