Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzes the influence of brand attractiveness, brand experience, brand trust, and brand satisfaction on brand loyalty toward Downy fabric softener goods sold in Indonesia. Methodology/approach: This investigation employed a numerical methodology, delivering surveys to 150 Downy users 17 years of age or older, who had experience with the product for at least three months. Purposive sampling was applied, and the data were examined using SPSS, employing validity and reliability assessments alongside multiple linear regression analysis. Results: The results suggest that brand attractiveness, experience, and satisfaction positively and significantly affect brand loyalty. Brand satisfaction is the most influential factor, even though faith in the brand does not notably shape loyalty. These findings highlight that consumer loyalty is more strongly driven by satisfaction and direct product experience than by trust. Conclusions: The study concludes that in the fabric care industry, customer loyalty is primarily formed through positive experience and high satisfaction. Theoretically, these findings position brand trust as a supporting factor rather than a direct driver of loyalty. Limitations: This study is limited to one brand and selected variables; it is advisable that subsequent investigations broaden their focus to include different brands and additional determinants. Contributions: This study offers empirical insights into the key determinants of brand loyalty in the fabric care industry, emphasizing the dominant role of brand satisfaction compared to other brand-related factors.

Abstract

Objective: This study examines how small batik businesses in Surakarta build authentic online identities while entering the global digital marketplace. Theoretical framework: Guided by the concept of Digitally Mediated Authenticity, the study explains how authenticity is created through digital communication, cultural storytelling, transparency, and customer engagement. Literature review: The study addresses the limited research on how cultural SMEs translate local heritage, craftsmanship, and brand authenticity into digital formats that global consumers can understand and trust. Method: A qualitative case study approach was employed using semi-structured interviews with nine informants representing batik businesses and related stakeholders. Data were analysed through thematic analysis to identify key patterns and themes. Results: The findings reveal four key practices for building authentic online identities: visual transparency, narrative grounding, interactive co-construction, and platform alignment. Export-oriented SMEs also rely on digital communication tools, although challenges remain in visibility, financial integration, and logistics. Implications: The study enriches the literature on brand authenticity, cultural branding, and SME digitalisation by demonstrating that authenticity is continuously negotiated and sustained through digital practices and trust-based relationships. Novelty: This research provides a new perspective on how cultural SMEs digitally construct and communicate authenticity in global markets. It highlights authenticity as a dynamic and digitally mediated process rather than a fixed organisational attribute.

Abstract

This study seeks to investigate the roles of brand experience and brand trust as predictors of consumer satisfaction, while simultaneously examining their strategic implications for fostering brand loyalty toward domestic footwear brands within the student segment. This study employs a quantitative methodology with a causal associative model, operated through a series of statistical hypothesis tests. The research population consisted of active university students aged 18–35 years who had purchased and used Indonesian local footwear brands within the last six months. Purposive sampling was applied to ensure the relevance of respondents to the research objectives. Data collection was conducted through the distribution of a structured questionnaire adopting a five-point Likert scale, while data processing utilized inferential statistical techniques. The findings reveal that brand experience has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction, while brand trust also significantly enhances customer satisfaction. Furthermore, customer satisfaction is proven to have a positive and significant influence on brand loyalty, indicating that satisfaction plays a crucial role in fostering long-term consumer commitment to local footwear brands. These results highlight the strategic importance for local footwear businesses to consistently strengthen brand experience and trust in order to enhance customer satisfaction and ultimately build sustainable brand loyalty, particularly within the student segment as a promising market

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of job satisfaction and organizational commitment on turnover intention and its effect on employee performance in the context of PT. JJ Gloves Indo is a manufacturing company. No previous research has studied this relationship at PT JJ Gloves Indo. This research was conducted using quantitative methods. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 200 staff members working in the production department. Data was collected through a proportional sampling technique. Structural Equation Model (SEM) from the Partial Least Square (PLS) program package was used to analyze the data to determine whether there is a relationship between the research variables. The results of this study show that job satisfaction and organizational commitment have a significant direct effect on turnover intention and employee performance. However, turnover intention does not have a significant direct effect on employee performance and cannot mediate the effect of job satisfaction and organizational commitment on employee performance, this states that any change in turnover intention either in the condition of direct influence or as a mediator will not reduce or increase employee performance. This suggests that maintaining job satisfaction and organizational commitment can help reduce turnover intention and improve employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the influence of corporate social responsibility (CSR) on consumer purchase intention, with corporate image and brand image as mediating variables, in the context of a multi-brand fashion company. The study utilized a quantitative approach with a correlational design, involving 140 respondents collected through an online survey using a Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using Smart PLS 3.0 software. The results showed that CSR has a positive and significant influence on purchase intention, corporate image, and brand image. In addition, brand image also has a positive influence on purchase intention. However, corporate image did not show a significant effect in mediating the relationship between CSR and purchase intention, while brand image showed significant mediation. The validity and reliability of the data have been tested using the Confirmatory Factor Analysis method, with the results showing that all indicators are valid and reliable. This study confirms the importance of CSR as a strategy that strengthens corporate and brand image, while driving consumer purchase intention. Practical implications include the importance of fashion companies to design an integrated CSR strategy to increase competitiveness in the market. This research also recommends further studies to explore the mediation mechanism and expand the sample to other industries for generalization of the findings.

Abstract

With the rapid growth of social commerce, TikTok Shop has emerged as a leading mobile shopping platform that integrates entertainment with e-commerce. Understanding the factors driving impulse buying on this platform is essential for businesses and policymakers. While previous research highlights the role of browsing behavior in purchasing decisions, the influence of hedonic and utilitarian browsing on impulse buying remains underexplored. This study aims to analyze the relationship between hedonic and utilitarian browsing behavior on TikTok Shop and its impact on impulse buying tendencies. Specifically, it investigates the mediating role of utilitarian browsing and considers external factors such as mobility, visual appeal, and interpersonal influence. A quantitative survey was conducted in 2024 with 153 TikTok Shop users, and data were analyzed using SmartPLS 3.0 to examine the proposed relationships. The findings reveal that hedonic browsing significantly influences impulse buying, with utilitarian browsing acting as a mediator. Moreover, external factors, including mobility, visual appeal, and social influence, enhance consumer engagement and drive impulse purchases. These insights provide valuable implications for e-commerce businesses in optimizing marketing strategies through interactive content, social recommendations, and visually appealing elements. Policymakers can also leverage these findings to promote responsible shopping behavior. Future research should explore self-control mechanisms and long-term digital shopping trends to foster a more sustainable online shopping environment.

Abstract

This study examines the evolution and integration of capital structure theories and their implications for firm value, with emphasis on taxation and financial access in emerging markets. It applies a systematic literature review supported by bibliometric analysis and narrative synthesis. The article selection process followed PRISMA guidelines, covering identification, screening, eligibility assessment, and final inclusion. Articles were collected from Scopus and ScienceDirect using keywords related to capital structure, taxation, tax shield, financial access, financing constraints, firm value, and emerging markets. The final corpus was analyzed through keyword co-occurrence, thematic mapping, thematic evolution, co-citation analysis, bibliographic coupling, and qualitative narrative synthesis. The findings show that capital structure research has shifted from a static optimality perspective toward a more contextual and institutionally grounded framework. Although debt financing may enhance firm value through tax shields, these benefits are often constrained by information asymmetry, limited external finance, and institutional pressures. The results indicate that taxation and financial access should not be treated as separate determinants, but as interrelated mechanisms shaping corporate financing decisions. The study contributes by developing an integrative theoretical synthesis linking classical capital structure theories with taxation, financial access, agency conflicts, and institutional context in emerging markets, particularly Indonesia.

Abstract

This study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) study that aims to identify, examine, and synthesize the latest findings related to the adoption of digital marketing and e-commerce in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). By analyzing 20 selected international journals, this study explores various determinants, challenges, and impacts of digital technology implementation on MSME business performance. The results of the study reveal that technological, organizational, and environmental factors (TOE framework), digital marketing capabilities, innovation capacity, and customer connectivity through digital platforms are key elements in the adoption process. In addition, external factors such as the COVID-19 pandemic, market globalization, and competitive pressures also drive the acceleration of MSME digitalization. Other findings show that the adoption of e-commerce and digital marketing not only improves financial performance and market competitiveness, but also contributes to business sustainability, supply chain efficiency, and export market expansion, especially in the context of cross-border e-commerce. The study analysis suggests approaches for policymakers and researchers to create an MSME digital transformation strategy concerning technology and collaboration within a digital ecosystem.
