Abstract

Background: Implementasi lesson study for learning community (LSLC) memerlukan kompetensi dan pemahaman yang tepat pada para guru. SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Kota Batu mulai berupaya mengimplementasikan lesson study for learning community (LSLC) pada beberapa mata pelajaran, meskipun masih ada permasalahan yang dihadapi. Tujuan: Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah mendampingi guru dalam menyusun chapter design, lesson design, dan open lesson pada bahasan tertentu untuk open class berbasis LSLC. Metode: Program ini menggunakan metode pendampingan, yang dibagi menjadi workshop, simulasi, pendampingan praktik, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan diikuti oleh enam orang guru. Pelaksanaan berupa pemberian materi yang terancang pada lesson design berbasis LS dengan praktik 2 siklus (open class/open lesson) dan refleksi matapelajaran. Output workshop/simulasi adalah chapter design dan lesson design materi bahasa dan IPS. Tim juga melakukan evaluasi tentang pelaksanaan pendampingan untuk peningkatan kualitas refleksi guru dengan cara Focus Group Discussion. Hasil: Pelaksanaan pendampingan guru bermutu berbasis LSLC adalah peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran telah berjalan dengan lancar, yang diawali dengan kegiatan penyusunan chapter dan lesson design. Pelaksanaan open class dilaksanakan pada matapelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Inggris dan IPS. Refleksi pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara daring. Kesimpulan: Program ini dapat diimplementasikan secara luas dengan menyasar guru-guru pengaajar matapalajaran lain atau bahkan guru-guru lain di bawah koordiasi Majelis Pendidikan Dasar dan Mengah, Pimpinan Daerah Muhammadiyah.

Abstract

Pendampingan penyusunan modul ajar berbasis karakter merupakan salah satu upaya strategis dalam meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogis guru dan menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi guru dalam menyusun modul ajar berbasis nilai-nilai karakter yang terintegrasi dengan Teori Agustinus, yaitu kasih (caritas), kebijaksanaan (sapientia), dan kebenaran (veritas). Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif dengan tiga tahapan utama: persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Sebanyak 25 guru dari berbagai mata pelajaran di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ini. Uji coba modul di kelas menunjukkan bahwa siswa lebih terlibat dalam pembelajaran dan mampu mengaitkan materi akademik dengan nilai-nilai moral. Guru juga menyatakan bahwa modul yang dihasilkan memudahkan mereka dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran sekaligus menanamkan nilai karakter kepada siswa. Survei kepuasan menunjukkan bahwa 88% guru merasa sangat puas dengan kegiatan pendampingan ini.Kesimpulannya, kegiatan pendampingan ini berhasil membantu guru dalam memahami dan mengaplikasikan nilai-nilai karakter ke dalam modul ajar. Dengan pendekatan partisipatif yang intensif, guru tidak hanya mampu menghasilkan modul berkualitas tetapi juga lebih percaya diri untuk mengimplementasikannya di kelas. Program ini diharapkan menjadi model pengembangan profesional guru yang berkelanjutan dan relevan dengan kebutuhan pendidikan berbasis karakter

Abstract

Lesson Study for Learning Community (LSLC) is a collaborative approach designed to enhance the quality of teaching and learning by addressing the professional development needs of both teachers and students. This study analyzes the cognitive understanding and practical abilities of teachers at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Batu City (SMPM 8) in implementing LSLC. The objectives include evaluating teachers’ knowledge and competencies related to LSLC, assessing progress in planning, conducting, and reflecting on LSLC-based activities through pre-test and post-test assessments, and providing foundational insights into the effectiveness of LSLC implementation for future improvement. This descriptive study, conducted from August 2023 to April 2024, involved 10 teachers actively engaged in LSLC activities. Data were collected using questionnaires, observations, written tests, and document analysis and analyzed descriptively. The results indicate significant improvements in teachers' cognitive understanding and practical implementation of LSLC, with average scores increasing from 58 (pre-test) to 88 (post-test). These findings underscore the effectiveness of LSLC workshops in enhancing teacher competencies, particularly in collaborative planning, student engagement, and reflective practices. The study offers initial insights into teachers’ knowledge of LSLC, which can inform the development of targeted professional development programs. It also highlights effective strategies for scaling LSLC practices to other schools and contributes to the broader understanding of LSLC's impact on teacher development and learning quality, providing evidence to inform educational policy at local and district levels.

Abstract

Boba drink is a variant of a drink that is currently popular in Malang City. Boba drinks have the potential to be a source of disease transmission such as diarrhea if the presentation, storage, and processing of drinks do not apply proper hygiene and sanitation. Escherichia coli and Salmonella sp. is a pathogenic bacterium that can cause diarrhea because it can enter the human body.. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between sanitary hygiene and the presence of bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella sp., in branded and unbranded boba drinks in Malang City. The research method employed is observational using a quantitative research approach, and the sample strategy is Cluster Random Sampling. The Product Moment correlation test were used to analyse the data. The presence of bacteria Escherichia coli and Salmonella sp., was discovered in unbranded boba drinks in Malang City. The results of the statistical tests show that there is a significant correlation between sanitation hygiene variables and the presence of bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Salmonella sp., in branded and unbranded boba drinks in Malang City. Based on the research obtained, in order for boba drinks consumed to be free from bacterial contamination, further tests need to be carried out on the correct and qualified processing of boba drinks.

Abstract

Paulo Freire dikenang sebagai salah satu tokoh Pendidikan yang mengubah paradigma pendidikan, menjadikannya alat transformasi sosial dan keadilan. Paulo Freire adalah seorang filsuf dan pendidik asal Brasil yang menekankan pentingnya pendidikan sebagai alat pembebasan. Media video dapat memberdayakan siswa dengan Keterampilan Digital dimana sejalan dengan teori Freire mengenai Pendidikan pembebasan. Siswa perlu diberi kebebasan untuk dapat mempelajari hal-hal yang sesuai dengan zamannya. Era saat ini merupakan era digital dimana banyak melibatkan teknologi informasi dalam pembeljaran. Belajar untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dalam penggunaan salah satu aplikasi pembuatan video untuk pembelajaran adalah hal yang dibutuhkan untuk era revolusi industry 4.0 ini dan era society 5.0. Para siswa sangat antusias dalam mengikuti pelatihan dan sangat serius mengikut tahapan demi tahapan pelatihan.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought about a transformation in the world of education, which is now leading to the use of technology to enrich the learning process. One of the technological innovations that has great potential in education is Augmented Reality (AR). This study aims to examine the use of Augmented Reality as a learning medium that can improve students' scientific literacy, especially in understanding complex scientific concepts. Another objective is to find out how AR can increase students' interest, motivation, and involvement in the learning process. This finding uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, which is carried out by identifying, selecting, and analyzing various previous studies on the application of AR in science learning. Data were obtained from various academic databases such as Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, and JSTOR. Clear inclusion and exclusion criteria were used to select relevant findings and make significant contributions to understanding the effectiveness of AR in science education. The results of the literature analysis indicate that the use of AR in science learning can improve students' understanding of abstract concepts and enrich their learning experience. AR provides a more engaging and interactive learning experience, which can increase student motivation and involvement. In addition, AR also supports various learning styles, such as visual, kinesthetic, and auditory, thus helping students understand science materials more deeply and contextually. However, several challenges related to infrastructure, teacher readiness, and costs are still obstacles to implementing AR in schools.

Abstract

The excretory system material, with a high level of difficulty, causes students to be less able to understand the material well. For this reason, a teaching module is needed that can help teachers in delivering the material so that there is no misunderstanding in conveying the concept, and a teaching module is made that can attract students' attention. However, some teachers have difficulty making modules. The purpose of this literature review is to analyze papers that develop modules on the excretory system material so that teachers can more easily create teaching modules on the excretory system material that include abstract material. The articles reviewed are limited to research published in 2018-2024, which can be found on Google Scholar and Research Gate. The search results obtained 10 articles that reported the development of modules on the excretory system material in high school. This literature study provides a comprehensive analysis of the trend in the development of teaching modules on the excretory system material. It can encourage future researchers to further explore other aspects of the various teaching modules produced. The development of teaching modules from year to year has increased due to the development of digital or electronic modules. This indicates that educators are aware of the importance of developing teaching modules in delivering material and making it easier for students to learn independently.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the blood smear profile of male white rats after treatment with various doses of stigmasterol from Pluchea indica leaves. The experimental study used the post-test control design group. The study was conducted in the several accredited laboratories in Malang and Bandung cities. The study was conducted from June to September 2024. The research sample of stigmasterol from P. indica leaves came from the UPT materia medica of Batu City. The sampling technique was purposive random sampling. Three doses of stigmasterol (0.125 mg/kg bw, 0.25 mg/kg bw, 0.5 mg/kg bw), and control (aquades) with seven replications. Observations of preparations for each treatment group used a binocular microscope. Photos of the observation results were analyzed for cell shape, and the number of visible white blood cells was calculated. Data analysis used one-way ANOVA and Duncan’s further test. The results showed a stigmasterol dose hadtigmasteroland number of erythrocytes in the blood of white rats. The findings of this study were that dose 3 (0.5 mg/kg bw) had the lowest number of leukocytes, and further research is needed as a safe dose of the stigmasterol compound in P. indica leaves, which has the potential as a natural antifertility drug.

Abstract

The implementation of a healthy lifestyle with a “back to nature” approach has become a global trend, marked by the increasing consumption of natural-based medicines which are considered relatively safer compared to synthetic drugs. The beluntas plant (Pluchea indica L.) is known to contain active compounds such as alkaloids, tannins, and flavonoids, including stigmasterol which has the potential as a pharmacological agent. This study aims to determine the effect of administering stigmasterol from beluntas leaves at various doses on liver histological damage. The study was conducted at the Biomedical Laboratory of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Muhammadiyah Malang for 28 days. The type of study used true experiment research with a RAL experimental design, consisting of four groups and six replications. The doses of each treatment were P1 (0.125 mg/kgBW), P2 (0.25 mg/kgBW), P3 (0.5 mg/kgBW), and the control group. The results of the one-way ANOVA test showed that the data on the effect of the administration of stigmasterol from beluntas leaves showed significant differences in liver cell damage in male white rats (Rattus novergicus) in parenchymatous degeneration (p = 0.010), in hydropic degeneration (p = 0.000), in karyorrhexis cells (p = 0.020), in karyolysis cells (p = 0.000), and in inflammatory cells (p = 0.021). However, the results of the one-way ANOVA test showed no significant effect on the administration of stigmasterol to pyknosis cells (p = 0.409 > 0.05). Meanwhile, the administration of stigmasterol in treatment 1 effectively reduced hydropic and prenchymatous degeneration but actually increased damage to karyolysis cells, karyorrhexis cells and inflammatory cells. This study of the effect of stigmasterol from beluntas leaves on liver histology can be used as a source of learning Biology in phase F in SMK Kesehatan class XI Pharmacology, especially in understanding drugs related to disorders of the body's system.
