Abstract

Keluhan rasa nyeri pada asam urat yang menyerang lansia yang umumnya dirasakan memiliki faktor-faktor beragam. Penanganan umumnya melibatkan pendekatan pengobatan secara farmakologi, yang biasanya berdampak pada kesehatan organ seperti ginjal. Pengobatan non farmakologi dengan kompres jahe dapat menjadi alternatif pilihan yang baik dan murah dalam meredakan nyeri asam urat yang dialami lansia. Posyandu Mawar di Desa Campur Asri memiliki peran strategis dalam memberikan layanan kesehatan masyarakat. Dengan melibatkan Posyandu sebagai pusat pelayanan kesehatan primer, implementasi terapi kompres jahe diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah inovatif dan terjangkau bagi penderita asam urat di tingkat komunitas. Pengabdian ini memiliki relevansi signifikan dengan kondisi kesehatan masyarakat Desa Campur Asri. Kasus asam urat yang cukup tinggi di wilayah ini menunjukkan perlunya eksplorasi terapi non-farmakologis yang dapat diterapkan secara efektif dan mudah diakses. Sasaran dalam kegiatan penyuluhan sebagai bentuk pengabdian masyarakat adalah lansia di Posyandu Mawar Desa Campur Asri. Metode pelaksanaan pada kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan rangkaian tahapan yang disusun secara sistematis, yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan dan tahap evaluasi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa terapi kompres jahe memiliki potensi untuk menjadi alternatif yang efektif dalam mengelola nyeri pada penderita asam urat di tingkat komunitas. Diharapkan, hasil pengabdian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam peningkatan kesehatan masyarakat Desa Campur Asri secara menyeluruh. Dengan kerjasama yang terjalin, diharapkan program ini dapat berlanjut dan memberikan manfaat jangka panjang bagi penderita asam urat dan masyarakat secara umum.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) untuk meningkatkan minat baca dan hasil belajar di SD Negeri 04 Pandan. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 29 peserta didik. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan studi dokumentasi, dianalisis dengan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa GLS di SD Negeri 04 Pandan meliputi pembiasaan membaca sebelum pelajaran, penggunaan sudut baca, dan penyediaan perpustakaan. GLS juga meningkatkan minat baca peserta didik, terbukti dari banyaknya kunjungan ke perpustakaan dan minat membaca di rumah. Selain itu, GLS berpengaruh pada peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik, dengan rata-rata nilai meningkat pada setiap bab pembelajaran. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa GLS efektif dalam meningkatkan minat baca dan hasil belajar di sekolah.Kata Kunci: Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, Minat Baca, Hasil BelajarABSTRACTThis research aims to describe the implementation of the School Literacy Movement (GLS) to increase reading interest and learning outcomes at SD Negeri 04 Pandan. The approach used is qualitative with descriptive methods. The research subjects consisted of 29 students. Data was collected through interviews and documentation studies, analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The research results show that GLS at SD Negeri 04 Pandan includes the habit of reading before lessons, the use of reading corners, and the provision of a library. GLS also increases students' interest in reading, as evidenced by the number of visits to the library and interest in reading at home. Apart from that, GLS has an effect on improving student learning outcomes, with the average score increasing in each learning chapter. This proves that GLS is effective in increasing reading interest and learning outcomes at school.Keywords: School Literacy Movement, Interest in Reading, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

ABSTRAKPendidikan memiliki peran vital dalam membentuk individu dan memajukan masyarakat, terutama pada tingkat pendidikan dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku cerita digital berbasis Canva for Education (CFE) dengan fokus pada peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan pemahaman membaca siswa kelas V. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan pendekatan ADDIE, yang mencakup tahapan analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Diharapkan, buku cerita digital ini mampu menarik minat siswa serta menciptakan pengalaman pembelajaran yang interaktif. Penelitian ini juga mengevaluasi kepraktisan penggunaan, serta mengidentifikasi kelebihan dan kekurangan produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata 4,80, dan validasi ahli desain memperoleh rata-rata 4,75, menandakan produk yang valid. Uji coba produk pada siswa melalui uji coba perorangan, kelompok kecil, dan kelompok besar menghasilkan sikap positif "sangat baik". Pelatihan penerapan media pembelajaran kepada guru dan siswa menunjukkan efektivitas media. Evaluasi hasil belajar siswa melalui pre-test dan post-test menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata nilai dari 51,8 menjadi 86,16, dengan hanya 2 siswa yang belum mencapai kriteria ketuntasan tujuan pembelajaran setelah menggunakan media. Dengan demikian, buku cerita digital berbasis Canva terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V di SDN 14 Manis Raya, sekaligus memberikan pengalaman belajar yang interaktif dan menarik.Kata Kunci: Buku Cerita Digital, Canva For Education, Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis, Pemahaman MembacaABSTRACTEducation has a vital role in forming individuals and advancing society, especially at the basic education level. This research aims to develop a digital storybook based on Canva for Education (CFE) with a focus on improving critical thinking skills and reading comprehension for fifth grade students. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE approach, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. It is hoped that this digital storybook will be able to attract students' interest and create an interactive learning experience. This research also evaluates the practicality of use, and identifies the advantages and disadvantages of the product. The research results showed an average of 4.80, and validation by design experts obtained an average of 4.75, indicating a valid product. Product trials on students through individual, small group and large group trials resulted in a positive attitude of "very good". Training on the application of learning media to teachers and students shows the effectiveness of the media. Evaluation of student learning outcomes through pre-test and post-test showed an increase in the average score from 51.8 to 86.16, with only 2 students not reaching the criteria for completing the learning objectives after using the media. Thus, Canva-based digital storybooks have proven effective in improving the learning outcomes of class V students at SDN 14 Manis Raya, while providing an interactive and interesting learning experience.Keywords: Digital Storybook, Canva For Education, Critical Thinking Skills, Reading Comprehension

Abstract

Continuity of Care (COC) tercapai melalui hubungan yang berkelanjutan antara klien dan bidan. COC dimulai sejak masa kehamilan, persalinan, masa nifas, hingga pemilihan kontrasepsi. Pelayanan kebidanan yang berkelanjutan ini penting untuk mendeteksi dan mencegah komplikasi secara dini. Selama masa kehamilan, berbagai masalah dapat timbul karena perubahan fisiologis, seperti timbulnya nyeri punggung. Selain itu, pada periode nifas, penurunan produksi dan pelepasan ASI pada hari-hari awal setelah kelahiran dapat disebabkan oleh kurangnya hormon prolaktin dan oksitosin yang esensial untuk kelancaran laktasi. Dengan demikian, tujuan utama dari asuhan kebidanan yang berkelanjutan terhadap Ny.N di PMB Ana Maria, Amd.keb., adalah untuk memberikan intervensi tambahan yang sesuai. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan studi kasus. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tujuh langkah Varney dan pendekatan SOAP untuk kontinuitas perawatan dari kehamilan hingga pemilihan kontrasepsi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pada masa kehamilan terdapat penurunan skala nyeri punggung pada ibu dengan intervensi kompres hangat. Sementara pada masa nifas dengan intervensi pijat oksitosin mampu meningkatkan jumlah produksi ASI pada ibu. Selain itu tidak ditemukan kasus pasa masa persalinana, ayi baru lahir dan keluarga berencana.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) oleh tim Magister Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris (MPBI) Universitas Terbuka bertujuan untuk mendorong antusiasme proses belajar mengajar di PAUD dengan edukasi inovatif. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 14 Mei 2024, dengan melibatkan dosen dan mahasiswa MPBI Universitas Terbuka sebagai pelaksana, serta PAUD Mutiara Bunda sebagai mitra. Metode kegiatan terdiri dari tiga tahap: penjajakan awal, persiapan, dan implementasi. Penjajakan awal dilakukan melalui Focus Group Discussion (FGD) dan wawancara dengan guru-guru PAUD, untuk mengidentifikasi kebutuhan utama mereka, yaitu kekurangan Alat Permainan Edukatif (APE) dan motivasi siswa yang rendah. Persiapan kegiatan mencakup koordinasi dengan mitra dan penyiapan materi edukasi serta alat bantu pembelajaran. Pada hari pelaksanaan, kegiatan dimulai dengan penampilan tari oleh siswa PAUD, diikuti dengan proses belajar mengajar menggunakan APE yang telah disediakan. Anak-anak diberikan motivasi melalui kegiatan interaktif dan pemberian hadiah. Guru-guru PAUD mendapatkan edukasi mengenai pemanfaatan APE dalam pembelajaran, yang diharapkan dapat membuat proses belajar mengajar lebih menarik dan efektif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan antusiasme dan motivasi anak-anak, serta peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan APE. Kontribusi kegiatan ini meliputi penyediaan APE digital yang sangat dibutuhkan, serta peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di PAUD Mutiara Bunda. Program PkM ini memberikan dorongan signifikan bagi PAUD Mutiara Bunda untuk terus maju dan berkembang, serta menunjukkan pentingnya dukungan dari perguruan tinggi dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan anak usia dini.

Abstract

The study addresses the challenges of implementing Differentiated Instruction (DI) in vocational schools in Indonesia, particularly in the Riau Islands. The objective is to examine how teachers adapt DI to students'' diverse needs and the impact of DI training, especially among the few Guru Penggerak-certified educators. This study utilizes a qualitative research design with a case study approach. Data were collected through questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and classroom observations. Purposive sampling was used to select three teachers from different schools, focusing on their perceptions and practices related to DI within the Merdeka Curriculum framework. The study concludes that while Differentiated Instruction (DI) is being implemented effectively by English teachers within the Merdeka Curriculum, there are variations in its application. Teacher training is crucial in enhancing DI practices, but challenges remain in material access, school culture, and alignment with modern trends. Recommendations include expanding DI-focused professional development, improving resource availability, and fostering a more supportive school culture for DI integration.

Abstract

This study aims to explore teachers' perceptions of the challenges in implementing the English Day program at MAN 1 Kota Pekalongan and identify its implications for the students’ speaking skills and self-efficacy. The English Day program is designed to increase the use of English in the school environment, but it faces various barriers, both from the student's and teachers' side. The research method used was qualitative with a case study design, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. The research participants comprised three English teachers and ten grade XI students directly involved in the program. The results show that the main challenges in implementing the program include low student motivation and confidence, limited teacher competence in English, and lack of adequate supporting facilities. Nevertheless, the program has the potential to improve students' speaking skills if supported by training for teachers and strengthening learning facilities. This research provides important implications for the development of English Day programs in other schools, with recommendations to improve teacher competence and create a more supportive learning environment for students to practice English. Abstract

The implementation of Higher-Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) within Indonesia's Merdeka Curriculum has brought increasing attention to the development of critical and creative thinking across subjects. However, limited research has examined how English teachers, particularly in rural or semi-urban areas, perceive and apply HOTS-based assessment. This qualitative study addresses that gap by exploring the perceptions, confidence levels, and challenges experienced by junior secondary school English teachers when implementing HOTS. A two-day focus group discussion involving seven purposively selected teachers, followed by an open-ended questionnaire, served as the main data collection methods. Thematic analysis revealed that initial misconceptions linked HOTS to difficulty and content complexity. However, through collaborative discussions, participants gradually recognized HOTS as a pedagogical tool that fosters analytical, evaluative, and creative thinking in language learning. The study also found that teachers' confidence in designing HOTS-based assessments increased after the intervention, although they continued to face contextual barriers such as insufficient resources and limited student readiness. These findings indicate the need for continuous, context-sensitive professional development programs that not only enhance teacher understanding but also provide practical support. The study contributes to broader discussions on equitable curriculum reform by emphasizing the importance of empowering teachers in less advantaged regions. Its implications call for sustained investment in training strategies that ensure the effective integration of HOTS in English language education across diverse educational environments.

Abstract

Current educational theories and studies emphasize the need to use innovative and collaborative approaches to improve student’s learning experience, especially in the field of English Language Teaching (ELT). This study explores the obstacles and strategies for using these teaching approaches in the Indonesian ELT context. The research used mixed methods with a convergent parallel design. The questionnaires were used to gather data from 42 English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers, while semi-structured interviews were done with 6 teachers to explore their perspectives and experiences. The research was conducted in one district in West Sulawesi, Indonesia. The significant findings emphasize the critical impact of innovative and collaborative learning on improving students’ learning outcomes. The results also found obstacles that impede innovative and collaborative actual use, such as inadequate resources, teacher reluctance, and lack of appropriate teacher professional development. This research has potential implications beyond Indonesia and provides significant insights and suggestions for educators, policymakers, and stakeholders in comparable EFL situations globally to promote creative and collaborative learning environments.

Abstract

With the rise of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), adaptive e-learning has become a promising method for enhancing educational practices. This study reviews current research on personalized adaptive e-learning systems and proposes a mobile-based design to addressing the requirements toward Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. Using a systematic literature review methodology by Kitchenham and Charters, 28 studies were analyzed further. The findings suggest a necessity for clearer definitions of "personalized" and "adaptive" learning and categorize adaptive e-learning designs into four models: learning materials, learner characteristics, pedagogical approaches, and learning structure systems. The findings show there is still a lack of clarity in the definitions of "personalised" and "adaptive" learning, emphasizing the importance of more standardized terminology. The proposed system dynamically customized learning content material based on user preferences, cognitive abilities, and performance metrics, demonstrating the potential for increased students’ engagement and their learning outcomes. This study focusses on the possibilities of blockchain-based open educational resources, artificial intelligence, and gamification as for more engaging personalized student test to improve adaptive learning environments. Future study should confirm the suggested paradigm using empirical investigations and assess its usefulness in promoting lifelong learning.
