Abstract

Kata kunci: pembelajaran berdiferensiasi; pendidikan jasmani; olahraga dan kesehatan A Differentiated Approach to Physical Education, Sport and Health Lessons Differentiated learning particularly in health, sport and physical education is limited and rarely practiced by educators. Therefore, here we would like to evaluate research through a literature review on the use of differentiated instruction in teaching physical education, sport, and health. Then the purpose of writing this literature review is to (1) explain how the differentiated approach is done, (2) what happens when the differentiated approach is applied and why, and (3) the possibilities that arise when the differentiated approach is used in physical education, sports, and health education. After the scientific publications were analyzed, researchers used Google Scholar to search for scientific articles in 2020 to 2024. Using the phrase differentiated learning, they found 43 scholarly articles. The researchers completed identification, screening, and eligibility after receiving forty-three publications, so the results of the literature review analysis can be summarized. (1) The application of the differentiated approach can improve students' learning outcomes; (2) the differentiated approach can be combined with many learning models, including problem-based learning, project-based learning, Blended Learning Station Rotation, and paying attention to students' learning styles. Keywords: differentiated learning; physical education; sport and health

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a Semester Learning Plan (RPS) for the Entrepreneurship course for students of the Department of Physical Education, Health, and Recreation at the Faculty of Sports Science, State University of Malang. The method used is the R&D 4D model. The 4D model is one of the research and development models consisting of four steps: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The development results indicate that the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) in the development of the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) for the Entrepreneurship course is effective in enhancing students' practical skills, particularly in creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, and management. Through this approach, students are given the opportunity to engage directly in entrepreneurship projects that integrate theory and practice, thus better preparing them to face the challenges of the business world.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning of 100-meter sprint run for students of class X-8 SMAN 7 Malang through Green-Black game. The method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which consists of three stages: pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II. In the pre-cycle stage, only 9 out of 34 students (26.47%) reached the target sprint time, while 25 students (73.53%) were not complete. After treatment in cycle I, completeness increased but did not reach 75%, so it was continued to cycle II. In cycle II, 27 students (79.41%) achieved mastery, showing a significant improvement from the pre-cycle. Thus, the Green-Black game proved to be effective in improving students' ability to run the 100-meter sprint. These results show that a game-based learning approach can motivate students, the total increase in completeness from pre-cycle to cycle II is 52.94%. Based on these results, no further cycles are needed because the completeness has exceeded the minimum limit of 75%.

Abstract

This study examines the interest of secondary school students in sports and physical activities. Adolescence is a critical period characterized by physical and psychological changes, affecting students’ motivation and engagement in extracurricular activities, including sports. The study aims to analyze the level of participation in physical activities among students and identify the factors influencing their involvement. A questionnaire-based survey was conducted among 375 students (182 females, 193 males) aged 15–20 years from four secondary schools. The results indicate a declining trend in active sports participation with increasing age, with 82% of female students and 75% of male students engaging in at least one sport under professional supervision. However, 18% of females and 25% of males do not participate in organized sports. Additionally, 97% of females and 90% of males meet the recommended level of physical activity for a healthy lifestyle, including recreational activities. The findings highlight the importance of physical education teachers in motivating students and implementing innovative approaches to increase engagement. While male students predominantly prefer team sports such as football, female students favor individual activities like dance, fitness training, and swimming. The study suggests that enhancing physical education through attractive, diverse, and modern teaching methods could foster greater participation in sports and physical activities among adolescents.
