Abstract

Banjar Regency is a center for fish cultivation but the amount of fish production is not directly proportional to the people's intake of consuming fish as a source of animal protein. Imbalance between intake needs and or adequacy will cause nutritional problems such as stunting. The role and knowledge of the father is very important in influencing the growth and development of his child, considering the father as the head of the family who is responsible for his family members including avoiding stunting. Children with stunting conditions, will later become adults with low quality. If this condition occurs in children aged 0-2 years, it is very likely that the child will not be able to reach the expected potential height, the child will experience imperfect brain development, so that it has an impact on difficulties in meeting academic grades. Parental knowledge affects the occurrence of stunting in children under two. This service aims to increase the knowledge of fathers who have young children with a livelihood as farmers with the edupank program (education on the use of local food) with a demonstration approach that is carried out virtually considering the conditions of the covid-19 pandemic. All fish farmers with stunting children identified in the Banjar district were then asked for their willingness to be given education. The results of the service showed an increase in the knowledge of fish farmers before and after being given education. This percentage increase from 86% to 98% and the Wilcoxon test results show that there is a difference in knowledge before and after education (p<0.05), this means that there is an increase in the knowledge of farmers after being given education. With the modification of an attractive and well-targeted program, it is hoped that it can contribute to reducing the incidence of stunting in baduta in the Banjar Regency area.

Abstract

Repvit (Role Play Virtualitation) is an intervention effort to overcome the problem of stunting by providing nutrition education to cadres, because the situation of adapting to new habits in the Covid-19 era requires personnel who can directly move the community as the spearhead of health services at the household and village levels, not forming too many crowds in the community as part of the anticipation of preventing the transmission of covid-19, so that the implementation of Repvit for cadres can effectively prevent stunting toddlers in the Alang River area. The Alang River is one of the riverbank areas in the Banjar Regency area, most of the residents make a living as farmers in the cultivation of ponds, ponds, karamba, rice fields/rice fields and floating nets. This condition makes the Alang River one of the areas that are able to provide the region's food needs from these natural products. Based on data from the Health Office of South Kalimantan Province, it is known that the highest prevalence of stunting is in the Banjar Regency area. Most of the work of mothers as housewives and fathers as fish farmers. With this background and characteristics, the purpose of the service is the implementation of repvit (role play virtualization) aimed at cadres of the Alang River area. The results of educating cadres, obtained differences in knowledge before and after education about stunting, causal factors, and local food modification skills.

Abstract

AbstractMacro and micro nutrient deficiency in female adolescents causes the body to be thin and weight (BB) to drop dramatically impact on nutritional status becomes abnormal. One risk factor is an unbalanced diet. The nutritional status of adolescent girls can be seen from the results of the examination of Body Mass Index (BMI / U) by age. The importance of this nutritional status check is carried out considering that adolescent girls are one of the most potential human resources to assist development in a country because adolescents are the next generation and determiners of the future of this nation, in addition, adolescent girls are prospective mothers who will give birth to children of high quality to use for the development of a nation if it consumes food based on balanced nutrition. The  examination of abnormal nutritional status of 68 teenage girls (39.3%) can trigger educational institutions in collaboration with health institutions and parents to immediately conduct nutritional interventions in the form of nutritional education, or cooking demonstrations of balanced nutrition requirements for teenagers and parents as a program to tackle problems of abnormal nutritional status and the risk of anemia for adolescent girls, so that nutritional problems in adolescents can be quickly resolved.

Abstract

The implication of a long malnutrition in baduta called stunting, the impact will experience growth barriers / height according to age and brain development so that there is a chance of losing the next generation (lost generation). This condition is likely to occur given the data from the Health Office, Banjar District is one of the largest contributors to short cases in South Kalimantan, and the largest case is found in the working area of Sungai alang puskesmas as much as 41.7% (2015) and Rahayu and Putri's research results in Sungai alang found that the majority of children under five experienced stunting of 62.7% or a total of 79 people. Ironically, this region is located on a riverbank, so the area should not be included in the category of areas with very poor public health problems with a stunting prevalence of ≥ 40%, because the local commodity produced ie the largest fish in South Kalimantan is 12,595.9 tons per year. Fish is one source of protein which is at the same time a macro nutrient that contributes energy to the body. Considering that the Alang River region is one of the areas located along the riverbanks and most of the residents' livelihoods are fish farmers, it is therefore necessary to educate these farmers so that the fish obtained are not only sold but utilized by processing fish food by modifying variants based on the menu local fish. One of the methods used so that the knowledge and skills of modifying local fish menus to farmers is effective, so the active learning method using the FTAD (Farmers Team Achievement Division) approach is used. The results of the activities showed that before giving education to farmers most of them had a level of knowledge of less than 63.3% and after providing education the knowledge of farmers increased to 76.7% had a level of knowledge of the category quite well. Based on statistical analysis it was stated that by providing education about modifying nutrition menus for families to prevent stunting in children meaningfully by using the FTAD (farmers team achievement division) approach.
