Abstract

Abstract

This study discusses how much influence the hot sun has on the strength of concrete. Concrete is widely used in construction, because it is cheap and easy to implement. Still, it also requires extensive knowledge regarding the nature of the basic concrete material, how to make it, and when to lay it so that it can produce maximum quality and quality when the concrete is laidThe  research aims to find out how much influence the hot sun during casting has on the compressive strength of concrete. In this research, test specimens were made for the concrete mixture with a design compressive strength of f'c = 20 MPa, using a cylinder with a diameter of 15 cm and a height of 30 cm, and strength testing. press approach using hammer test. Casting was carried out in the morning, afternoon, and evening with different types of sunlight on one road section. The results of this research show that the hot sun during casting affects the compressive strength of the concrete produced. The heat of the sun is too hot, causing the concrete that is laid to crack easily and its compressive strength is low even though the concrete has been covered with geoteck and watered regularly.

Abstract

Road infrastructure has a function as one of the supporters of the development of an area. The Road infrastructure still used today is a flexible pavement composed of a mixture of asphalt and aggregate, which is heated and then compacted. Asphalt serves as a binder in the flexible pavement to maintain density and resist the weathering of aggregates caused by weather. It is an innovative additive used in concrete waste to replace rough aggregates. Adding LGA B50/30 in a base mixture is expected to be an alternative to improving the quality of the base mix and supporting the government in the use of domestic products. The study aims to determine how marshall is characterized if concrete waste is used in the AC-BC Ashburton mix as a substitute for rough aggregates and whether it meets the requirements of the Binna Marga Specification. The study was conducted experimentally with marshal characteristic parameters density, VIM (Void In Mix), VMA (Void In Mineral Aggregate), VFA (Void Filled with Asphalt), stability, and Marshall Quotient. (MQ). The Optimum Asphalt Rate used is 6.5%. The result is the density decreases with the addition of concrete waste levels, with the highest value at the 30% concrete waste level of 2,408 gr/cc. The increase in the VIM value with the addition of the concrete residue level has a higher value at a rate of 70% or 4.66%. The highest MQ is at a 50% concrete waste rate of 334.04 kg/mm. The study results show that waste concrete innovation materials can be used in Asbuton AC-BC mixtures with levels not exceeding 60%. Based on this research, concrete waste can be an alternative to natural aggregate substitutes.

Abstract

Flexible pavement structures that use asphalt as a binder are currently the mainstay of the Indonesian people because of their large load-bearing capacity and economical construction costs. One type of flexible pavement used is asphalt concrete with the top surface layer or Asphalt Concrete Wearing Course (AC-WC). The use of asphalt from the petroleum refining process is one of the problems because its availability is decreasing. However, the condition of the road pavement which has a limited life requires periodic repairs to maintain the condition of the road. In addition, there are also problems regarding the processing of plastic waste which is still not optimal. Based on data published by the National Waste Management Information System in 2020 as much as 18.3% of the total waste generated. This figure increased by 2.3% from the previous year. Sukoharjo Regency also experienced an increase in sales of plastic waste by 1.16% from 14.04% (in 2019) and now to 15.20% (in 2020). Plastic is one type of polymer in the thermoplastic polymer group which is processed by organic chemical compounds. One type of plastic that is often used is High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) which has strong, light and flexible properties that can soften at a temperature of 130-137"℃" and harden again if. In this study, HDPE plastic bag waste was used as a pure asphalt substitute with variations in the proportion of substitution of 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%. Where this study aims to analyze the effect of adding HDPE plastic waste as a mixture of AC-WC asphalt on asphalt parameters. From the research conducted, the use of asphalt content of choice is 5.7%. With the results of the mixture with HDPE asphalt mixture HDPE has increased with the addition of variations of HDPE. The flexibility of HDPE asphalt mixture decreased according to the flow meter reading. At a content of 2% HDPE has the largest percentage of VIM, flow, and proportion of VMA, but has the lowest value and percentage of VFB. The best range of HDPE content is in the percentage of 4%-6% because it can increase the value of a more flexible mixture and optimal asphalt absorption. The use of HDPE plastic waste is an alternative in waste treatment and can reduce the use of asphalt. It can be concluded that HDPE plastic bags can be used as an alternative to bitumen substitutes that meet the requirements of Bina Marga 2018 Revised 2nd Edition.

Abstract

Agriculture, livestock, and fisheries are key sectors that support the economic life of the majority of the Purwosari village community. They face environmental and social vulnerabilities, while also facing economic vulnerability. This is achieved by transforming traditional technologies currently used by the community to increase fisheries yields and downstream marketing through Free Nutritional Meal Kitchens (MBG) in the surrounding Wonogiri area. Strengthening village human resource development through the empowerment of Appropriate Technology (PTTG) in Purwosari Village, Wonogiri, aims to encourage energy independence in the economic activities of community groups. This includes strengthening the human resources of the Purwosari village community health post (Posyantek) for the construction of 200W solar cell TTGs and 2000W converters, solar-powered pond water pumps, and the construction of aquaculture ponds; and for freshwater fisheries. In general, the assembly of solar-powered water pump models can be adapted to field conditions and market availability. The core of this assembly is converting the electricity supply from the state electricity company (PLN) into electricity from natural sources (sunlight). The necessary equipment includes: Solar panels/solar cells (photovoltaic), controller, inverter, battery, cables, and mounting frame. The life cycle cost calculation for a solar-powered fisheries system at the PSDA Community Group (Pokmas PSDA), with solar-powered pumps and lights, shows a cost efficiency of Rp. 61,600,000 – Rp. 19,665,000 = Rp. 41,935,000 (assuming the equipment's life cycle cost is 10 years), resulting in a cost savings of 67%.   Keywords: Fisheries, PSDA Community Group, Solar Energy, TTG
