Abstract

ABSTRAK Penyakit demam berdarah dan chikungunya disebabkan oleh virus yang ditularkan melalui gigitan nyamuk Aedes Aegypti dan Aedes Albopictus. Berbagai upaya telah dilakukan untuk mengendalikan populasi nyamuk. Namun, tantangan dalam pengendalian nyamuk masih besar karena resistensi insektisida dan kurangnya partisipasi masyarakat dalam menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Salah satu solusi alternatif yang inovatif dan ramah lingkungan adalah penggunaan ikan pemakan jentik nyamuk. Program pengenalan ikan pemakan jentik nyamuk ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi kepada masyarakat untuk mengurangi populasi nyamuk. Metode yang dilakukan adalah penyuluhan yang dilaksanakan dalam bentuk ceramah dan tanya jawab pada 19 Mei 2024 yang dihadiri oleh warga RT 04, RW 04 dan kader kesehatan Desa Bakalan Krajan Kota Malang. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah telah tersampaikan edukasi kepada para warga tentang pengenalan program “Ikanisasi” untuk mencegah perkembangan DBD dan chikungunya. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah para warga dan kader kesehatan memahami program tersebut dan akan sosialisasi kepada warga sekitar untuk melaksanakan program “Ikanisasi” di RT 03 RW 04 Desa Bakalan Krajan Kota Malang. Kata kunci: Edukasi, Demam Berdarah, Chikungunya, Ikan Pemakan Jentik Nyamuk ABSTRACT Dengue fever and chikungunya are caused by viruses transmitted through the bite of Aedes Aegypti and Aedes Albopictus mosquitoes. Various efforts have been made to control mosquito populations. However, challenges in mosquito control are still great due to insecticide resistance and lack of community participation in maintaining environmental hygiene. One innovative and environmentally friendly alternative solution is the use of mosquito larvae-eating fish. This mosquito larvae-eating fish introduction program aims to educate the community to reduce mosquito populations. The method used was counseling which was carried out in the form of lectures and questions and answers on May 19, 2024 which was attended by residents of RT 04, RW 04 and health cadres of Bakalan Krajan Village, Malang City. The result of this activity is that education has been delivered to residents about the introduction of the “Ikanization” program to prevent the development of dengue and chikungunya. The conclusion of this activity is that residents and health cadres understand the program and will socialize to local residents to implement the “Ikanisasi” program in RT 03 RW 04 Bakalan Krajan Village, Malang City.  Keywords: Education, Dengue Fever, Chikungunya, Mosquito larvae-eating fishes

Abstract

Background of Study:The elderly period is described as a period of decline, where many changes occur, including a decrease in physical, psychosocial cognitive and intellectual functions. Impact on the decline in daily social activities in the elderly. The purpose of this study was to determine the intellectual function of the elderly at Griya Asih Lawang Werdha Home, Malang Regency.  Methods: This research design is descriptive. The population used was 30 people with total sampling. The variable in this study is the intellectual function of the elderly measured using the SPMSQ questionnaire. Data analysis using percentages then presented in the form of frequency distribution tables. This research was conducted on February 27, 2023 to March 3, 2023 at Panti Wedha Griya Asih Lawang Malang Regency. Results: The results showed that most of the respondents as many as 21 people (70%) experienced damage to intellectual function. Conclusion: most respondents had decreased intellectual function, added age, education and social life affect intellectual function decline.  It is recommended that ways to maintain and control the decline in intellectual function by implementing healthy living behaviors and conducting brain stimulation Keywords: Elderly, Intellectual Function, Nursing Home
