Abstract

"Kaltim Post" is a daily morning newspaper published in East Borneo. Daily Kaltim Post published premiered on May 8, 2003 with the number of prints 15,000 copies. Currently Kaltim Post newspaper circulation reached 40,000 copies. Primary data collected by census of marine fisheries development news during the period January 1 to June 30, 2014. Secondary data was collected through a review of documents related to the research objectives. The results showed that the vast volume of fisheries and marine development news for six months is 76.337,46 cmk or as much as 16.67% of the total pages in the newspaper Kaltim Post.

Abstract

The purposes of study were to describe : the characteristics of Anunto’s fish farmer members, the perceptions toward IMTA’s models, the role of extension officer, group dynamics and analyze the correlation of all variables.The sampling method applied was census method taken 28 respondents. The data process was based on Spearman rank correlation test and presented descriptively. The results showed that members of Anunto group of fish farmers were dominated by productive ages, middle level on formal education, low level on non formal education, low level on experiences about aquaculture business, primary income sources were not related to fisheries. Group member perceptions toward IMTA characteristics were in the medium level consisting indicators of compatibility, complexity, triability and observability, while the indicator of relative advantage was high.The influence of extension officer in developing the group dynamics were high as facilitators and educators, while the influence as advocator was in medium level. Statistical analysis showed that group dynamic characteristic variables on indicators : aquaculture’s experience, joining group’s experience and primary income source were correlated toward the group dynamic variables on indicator : group’s purpose, group’s structure, group’s cohesiveness, groups’s task function and hidden agenda. The variable of member perception of technology on indicators: complexity and trialibility were correlated toward the group dynamic’s variable on indicator: group’s purpose and groups’s task function. The variable of extension officer’s influence on indicator:: advocator was correlated toward the group dynamic’s variable on indicator : group’s atmosphere.

Abstract

Fishing tourism is one of the attractions in the fisheries sector that has great potential, especially in Samarinda. Success in managing a fishing business needs a careful attention to the services provided. This study aims to determine the level of visitors' satisfaction at Kolam Pemancingan Habibi Ikhsan. This study utilizes accidental sampling method. The analysis of the data utilizes the analysis method of Community Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). According to the results of the analysis, the Community Satisfaction Index (CSI) is at 86.95, which means that it is within the category of good service quality. In addition, Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) shows that the satisfaction indicators that should be considered and become the main priority for improvements at Kolam Pemancingan Habibi Ikhsan are indicators that are in the quadrant A

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the profile of fisherman and cultivator groups and the level of dynamics of fisherman and cultivator groups in Muara Badak Ilir Village, Muara Badak District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The sample method used is purposive sampling method and the data analysis used is descriptive qualitative analysis and Likert scale. The results of the analysis show the characteristics of the management and members of the fishermen and cultivator groups, including the age group of 41 – 56 years, the majority of which are elementary school education, non-formal education 1 – 2 meetings, income is around 2,100,000 – 3,000,000, the majority have joined 9 – 11 years and married. The level of dynamics of the fishermen group is entering the class is quite dynamic, while for the cultivator group entering the class is quite dynamic and dynamic.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the frequency of news on fisheries development published in the Kaltim Post Newspaper from 1 July to 31 December 2020 based on Regional Origin, Main Topics, News Layout Patterns, News Volume, Reviewing Opinions of Experts and Academics, Expert Practitioners' Opinions. Or Journalism Expert Print Media. The sampling method used is the Census Method and purposive sampling by taking a sample of News in the Period 1 July – 31 December 2020, interviewing 3 Fisheries Experts, 1 Bureaucrat of the Fisheries and Marine Service of East Kalimantan Province, and 1 Journalist. The data analysis method used is News Frequency and Expert Opinion. The results of this study indicate that the appearance of news is 266. Dominated in December 58 News, Frequency of Originated from Balikpapan 64 News (24.06%), 255 news group (95.90%), Non-Headlines Layout 199 News, Topics of News Conservation of Nature Protection and Ecotourism 63 (23.68%), Loaded Fishery News Volume (84,338cm), News Volume Based on December Area 19,288cm (22.87%), Balikpapan Dominated Area Volume 19,406cm (23.01%), Non-Headline Layout Volume 63.204cm (74,94%), Type of Article Nomination Area News 79,102cm (93.72%), Volume of Main Topic News Conservation of Nature Protection 22,133cm (26.24%) Based on the Expert Opinion of Fisheries Academics and Bureaucracy, the news profile uses easy-to-understand language, the written material has a scientific concept, does not deviate, the data presented is not relevant, the news sources are clearly listed, the news is dominated by mixing facts and opinions, preferably the content contained in news is for optimizing employment absorption, and the provision of animal protein sources for public consumption, coastal community income, based on expert opinions. and using regional languages, media experts also argue that the news presentation in the number of columns is sufficient. Abstract

The research was conducted with the aim of analyzing and describing how the GEMARIKAN program innovation communication process in Tanjung Redeb Village. The research was carried out for 12 months from November 2021 to October 2022 in the Tanjung Redeb Village, Berau Regency. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method with 17 respondents. The analytical method uses a qualitative descriptive analysis with a case study approach. The focus of this research is the 4 elements of innovation diffusion, namely innovation with the stages of knowledge, persuasion and decision, implementation, and confirmation, as well as communication channels, timeframe, and social systems. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and review of document contents. The stages of innovation in the process of adopting innovation are: The stage of public knowledge acquires knowledge through socialization. The most effective approach to the persuasion stage is the approach through fish processing training. In the implementation phase, the community implements the GEMARIKAN program by making processed fishery products. In the confirmation stage, the entire community implements the GEMARIKAN program. Communication channels, the majority of people use interpersonal media. The social system of the majority of people is included in the Early Majority recipient group.

Abstract

ABSTRAKIstri nelayan di Desa Sungai Meriam selain menjadi ibu rumah tangga mereka juga ikut serta dalam membantu meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga. Sebagai seorang nelayan pekerjaan ini bergantung dengan musim dan cuaca, sehingga kurang untuk mencukupi kebutuhan keluarga. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pendapatan usaha nelayan tangkap serta menganalisis kontribusi anggota keluarga terhadap pendapatan rumah tangga Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Sungai Meriam, Kecamatan Anggana, Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara.Sampel yang digunakan adalah anggota keluarga nelayan tangkap di Desa sungai meriam yang berjumlah 14 rumah tangga (28 responden), pengambilan sampelmenggunakan metode sensus.Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis pendapatan dan kontribusi pendapatan keluarga.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwasanya hasil pendapatan dari usaha nelayan tangkap rata-rata sebesar Rp. 4.762.131/responden. Kontribusi pendapatan suami rata-rata 58%, kontribusi pendapatan istri dibidang perikanan rata-rata 34% dan dibidang non perikanan 24%, sedangkan kontribusi pendapatan anggota keluarga lain (anak) rata-rata 34%. Kata Kunci: analisis usaha, pendapatan, kontribusi pendapatan anggota keluarga.ABSTRACTThe wives of fishermen in Sungai Meriam Village, apart from being housewives, also participate in helping to improve the family economy. As a fisherman, this work depends on the season and weather, so it is not enough to meet family needs. The purpose of the study was to analyze the income of capture fishermen's business and analyze the contribution of family members to household income. The sample used was family members of capture fishermen in Sungai Meriam Village, Anggana District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, totaling 14 households (28 respondents), sampling using the census method. The data analysis method used in this research is income analysis and family income contribution. The results of this study indicate that the income from the capture fishermen's business averages Rp. 4,762,131 / respondent. The contribution of husband's income averaged 58%, the contribution of wife's income in the fisheries sector averaged 34% and in the non-fisheries sector 24%, while the contribution of other family members' income (children) averaged 34%.Keywords: analysis of business, income, income contribution of family members.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the stages of processing crackers and amplang from belida fish and patin fish in Jantur Village, Muara Muntai Subdistrict by analyzing the feasibility of businesses run by 8 respondents. The research method used is qualitative and quantitative, using a questionnaire to conduct structured interviews.  Data sample collection was carried out using the census and survey methods and then analyzed descriptively and calculated the sales costs and profits of processed belida and catfish businesses. The processing cycle of belida fish crackers, amplang belida fish, and catfish crackers is 1-6 times/production year (average 3 production cycles/year). The average profit obtained from the belida fish cracker processing business is Rp.1,042,234 / year. The average profit obtained from the belida fish amplang processing business is Rp.2,744,869 / year and the average profit obtained from the patin fish cracker processing business is Rp.59,133 / year. This business feasibility analysis results show that processing belida fish and catfish is still often run even though it takes longer to reach the return on investment.

Abstract

Beras Basah Island in Bontang City has become one of the attractions of marine ecotourism.  Ecotourism activities on Beras Basah Island cause an economic impact on local communities. So this study aims to determine the economic impact of ecotourism on Beras Basah Island, Bontang City. The data analysis method used is a multiplier analysis consisting of Keynesian Local Multiplier Income, Ratio Income Multiplier Type I and Ratio Income Multiplier Type II. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, it can be concluded that the ecotourism business on Beras Basah Island has not had an impact on the local community, this can be seen in the Keynesian Income Multiplier of 0.22, the Type I Income Multiplier Ratio was recorded at 1.47 and the Type II Income Multiplier Ratio was 1.91.
