Abstract

The growing importance of sustainability in the hospitality industry stems from the recognition of its impact on the environment, society, and the long-term viability of the industry itself. The hospitality industry is resource-intensive and can have a significant ecological footprint. However, there seems to be a gap in literature specifically addressing the concept of green jobs within the context of the hospitality industry. This study utilizes academic databases, such as PubMed, ResearchGate, and ScienceDirect, to search for relevant articles, research papers, and reports. The literatures was categorized based on themes, such as job creation, training and skills development, environmental impact, and economic benefits. The research findings reveal that there is currently no specific study on green jobs in the hospitality industry. This is because the industry does not yet have a significant number of green jobs, environmental policies, or the production and provision of green products or services. This research could contribute to understanding the challenges, opportunities, and best practices related to green jobs in the sector.

Abstract

The purpose of community service activities is to carry out the socialization of the tourist village program, which was carried out by the Hospitality Management Study Program, Bali Tourism Polytechnic, on June 23, 2023. The implementation of community service activities is carried out through the delivery of material related to the socialization of government regulations on tourist villages, the scope and steps in managing tourist villages, including accommodation related to tourist villages, in an effort to identify the various strengths, weaknesses, obstacles and opportunities faced by Cemagi Tourism village. The Cemagi Tourism Village study involved 25 community members, accommodation business managers, village government, and village community organizations. The results found that Cemagi Tourism Village has the strengths of beautiful and unique natural resources and a calm atmosphere, weaknesses in the form of tourism facilities and products that characterize it, opportunities in the form of infrastructure development and promotion that support tourism growth and increase attractiveness for visitors, and threats in the form of competition with other tourist destinations in Bali that are close to each other, and environmental impacts due to the surge in visitors can damage the natural preservation of Cemagi village

Abstract

Cultural sustainability has recently emerged as a significant trend in the tourism industry, driven by increased awareness of travel's environmental impacts and the need to preserve natural resources for future generations. Sustainable cultural tourism emphasizes protecting and valuing cultural heritage while ensuring that tourism activities respect the environment and the integrity of local cultures. For it to be genuinely comprehensive, sustainable cultural tourism must be integrated into national development strategies, aligning tourism goals with broader sustainable development objectives. Cultural tourism plays a unique role as both a catalyst and enabler of sustainable development, fostering economic resilience, social cohesion, and environmental conservation. This paper explores the relationship between cultural tourism and sustainability by examining how sustainable cultural tourism supports sustainable development goals. Essential to this approach is preserving and managing cultural heritage, involving local communities in decision-making, promoting effective conservation practices, supporting rural development, and addressing issues like over-tourism, which can lead to the loss of authenticity and over-concentration in popular destinations. Ultimately, sustainable cultural tourism is not only about conserving the past but also about creating a harmonious relationship between culture and tourism that benefits present and future generations. Through its focus on local empowerment, responsible resource use, and respect for cultural diversity, sustainable cultural tourism offers a forward-looking approach, ensuring that tourism continues to drive positive social and environmental change.

Abstract

Kesiapan kerja merupakan persyaratan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan yang harus dimiliki karyawan sebelum memulai pekerjaan untuk dapat memberikan pelayanan yang berkualitas kepada tamu. Penelitian ini dilakukan di El Patio Restaurant Melia Bali, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang menyebabkan menurunnya kualitas pelayanan di El Patio Restaurant. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis mix method yaitu dengan mengkuantitatifkan data kualitatif dan mengkualitatifkan data kuantitatif dengan menyebarkan 15 kuesioner kepada pramusaji untuk menilai dirinya sendiri dan 15 kuesioner kepada manajer untuk menilai setiap pramusaji. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa aspek pada pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan pramusaji yang masih kurang. Hal tersebut menjadi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi menurunnya kualitas pelayanan di El Patio Restaurant khususnya pada kesiapan kerja, diantaranya adalah: (1) Berbicara dalam Bahasa Inggris, (2) Kemampuan dalam memberikan penjelasan ingredients menu di El Patio Restaurant, (3) Kemampuan dalam memberikan penjelasan tentang method of cooking dari setiap menu, (4) Etika terhadap rekan kerja, atasan dan tamu, (5) Kemampuan mengendalikan emosi, (6) Kemauan menerima masukan, arahan dan kritikan, (7) Terampil menjaga dan memelihara kebersihan peralatan. Kata kunci : Pramusaji, Kesiapan Kerja, Kualitas Pelayanan

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran komprehensif tentang kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh Program Studi Pengelolaan Perhotelan Politeknik Pariwisata Bali, dengan fokus pada partisipasi masyarakat dalam green accommodation dan pelayanan F&B di Desa Wisata Keliki, Gianyar. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat berlangsung selama dua hari, 30-31 Mei, di desa wisata Keliki, Gianyar, diikuti oleh 30 pemuda yang berasal dari desa wisata Keliki. Metode yang digunakan adalah Community Based Development, yang memperlihatkan partisipasi aktif masyarakat lokal dalam menggali potensi sumber daya secara maksimal. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini berhasil meningkatkan partisipasi dan keterampilan masyarakat Desa Wisata Keliki dalam mengelola green accommodation serta pelayanan F&B. Dengan meningkatnya kesadaran tentang pentingnya praktik berkelanjutan dan pelayanan berkualitas, diharapkan daya tarik desa sebagai destinasi wisata akan semakin meningkat. Untuk memastikan keberlanjutan program ini, disarankan agar pelatihan dan sosialisasi dilakukan secara berkala, dengan evaluasi dan monitoring yang terus menerus. Selain itu, perlu diperkuat kemitraan dengan berbagai pihak, termasuk akademisi, pemerintah, dan sektor swasta, untuk mendukung pengembangan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan di Desa Wisata Keliki.

Abstract

Mulai menurunnya kualitas kenerja guru dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, baik itu faktor internal maupun faktor eksternal seperti gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan komitmen organisasi yang dimiliki oleh seorang guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besaran kontribusi kepemimpinan transformasional kepala kekolah dan komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja guru di Sekolah Dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian ex post facto. Dengan jumlah populasi penelitian 32 orang guru sekolah dasar. Teknik pengembilan sampel pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik sampling total yakni menggunakan seluruh populasi sebagai sampel penelitian. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan memberikan angket/kuisioner kepada sampel serta melakukan pencatatan dokumen. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik regresi sederhana dan teknik regresi ganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah terhadap kinerja guru dibuktikan berdasarkan nilai rhitung =0,723 > rtabel = 0,361 dan kontribusi sebesar 52%, terdapat kontribusi yang signifikan komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja guru dibuktikan berdasarkan nilai rhitung = 0,735 > rtabel = 0,361 dan kontribusi sebesar 54%, terdapat kontribusi yang sigmifikan kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dan komitmen organisasi terhadap kinerja guru dibuktikan berdasarkan nilai rhitung = 31,207 > rtabel = 0,361 dan kontribusi sebesar 68%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara bersama-sama kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah dan komitmen organisasi berpengaruh terhadap kinerja guru.

Abstract

The Community Service Activity by the Hospitality Management Program, Bali Tourism Polytechnic, held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, was conducted through training and hands-on practice for 25 MSME owners in Cemagi Tourism Village. With the theme 'Strengthening the Interests and Skills of the Residents of Cemagi Tourism Village,' this activity has had a positive impact in preparing the community to participate in the era of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0. The development of tourism and the skills of the local community are key to improving the well-being and economic potential of Cemagi Tourism Village. The choice to focus on strengthening interests and skills as baristas was a wise decision, considering the growth of restaurants and accommodations in Badung Regency that require skilled workers in the coffee shop industry.

Abstract

The study was conducted with the aim of investigating the influence of Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM) and price on purchase intention in hotels in Bali. The population in this study were consumers who had never stayed at a hotel in Bali, but had seen online reviews on Google My Business of hotels in Bali. A total of 100 respondents were sampled in this study. The data analysis techniques applied were Multiple Linear Regression, Partial Test, Simultaneous Test, and Determination Coefficient Test. The results of the study demonstrated a positive and significant influence, both partially and simultaneously, of E-WOM and price on purchase intention with an influence of 38.7%. The suggestion that can be given is that the management is expected to increase the effectiveness of the marketing strategy used and evaluate other promotional strategy options to be able to further increase the purchase intention of hotel consumers in Bali.

Abstract

The hotel implements strategies to increase consumer purchasing interest, one of which is through an optimal pricing policy. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of price on consumer purchasing interest. This study was conducted at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa, Bali, with a population of 97 tourists who had visited the official website of Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa but had never stayed there. This study utilized primary data in the form of a questionnaire (questionnaire) filled out by the respondents and returned to the researcher. The sampling method in this study was to implement the incidental sampling technique. The analysis method used simple linear regression with SPSS version 25 for Windows. This study shows the results that the Price variable (X) has a significant effect on Purchase Interest (Y) with a calculated t value> t table = 16.103> 1.661 and a significance value <α = 0.000 <0.05. It can be interpreted that this study shows the results that price has a positive and significant effect on Purchase Interest at Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa.

Abstract

Hotel competition during the COVID-19 pandemic has encouraged hotels to maximize their marketing strategies to influence consumer behavior. This study was conducted to determine the direct effect of the promotion mix on purchase intention and the indirect effect mediated by the brand awareness variable at the Aloft Hotel Bali Seminyak which has a new existence. The method used is quantitative and distributes questionnaires to 100 respondents who are determined through the unknown population formula. The data analysis technique used descriptive statistical analysis and path analysis. The researcher found that the promotion mix and brand awareness had a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, the promotional mix had a positive and significant effect on brand awareness.
