Abstract

ABSTRACTInflammation occurs when the enzyme phospholipase A2 (PLA2) releases arachidonic acid from cell membranes, leading to the production of pro-inflammatory mediators. Gingerol and shogaol are bioactive compounds with anti-inflammatory properties found in red ginger (Zingiber Officinale var. rubrum). This research aims to investigate the potential anti-inflammatory activity of gingerol and shogaol against osteoarthritis using in silico methods. The in silico tests utilized Hyperchem 8, Chimera 1.10.1, and molecular docking was performed using AutoDock Tools, supplemented with Autogrid and Autodock 4. The results of molecular docking showed hydrogen bonds and binding energy. The binding energy values for 10-gingerol were -9.01 kcal/mol, 10-shogaol -8.85 kcal/mol, 8-shogaol -8.72 kcal/mol, and 6-gingerol -8.07 kcal/mol. The results indicate that gingerol and shogaol compounds have higher binding energies compared to the target protein Phospholipase A2 (Sodium Diclofenac) at -7.57 kcal/mol. This suggests that gingerol and shogaol compounds from red ginger rhizome (Zingiber Officinale var. rubrum) have potential as anti-inflammatory agents.Keywords:  gingerol; shogaol; anti-inflammatory; phospoliphase A2; in silicoABSTRAKInflamasi atau peradangan terjadi akibat enzim phospoliphase A2 (PLA2) yang melepaskan asam arakidonat dari membran sel, sehingga menghasilkan mediator proinflamasi. Gingerol dan shogaol merupakan senyawa bioaktif yang memiliki kandungan antiinflamasi pada tanaman jahe merah (Zingiber Officinale var. rubrum). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi aktivitas dari gingerol dan shogaol sebagai antiinflamasi terhadap penyakit osteoartritis secara in silico. Uji in silico menggunakan program Hyperchem 8, Chimera 1.10.1 dan pengujian molecular docking menggunakan program  AutoDock Tools, dilengkapai dengan program (Autogrid dan Autodock 4). Hasil pengujian molecular docking adalah ikatan hidrogen dan energi ikatan. Nilai energi ikatan pada senyawa 10-gingerol sebesar -9,01 kkal/mol, 10-shogaol sebesar -8,85 kkal/mol, 8-shogaol sebesar -8,72 kkal/mol dan 6-gingerol sebesar -8,07 kkal/mol, Hasil menyatakan bahwa senyawa gingerol dan shogaol memiliki energi ikatan yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan protein target Phospholiphase A2 (Natrium Diclofenac) sebesar -7,57 kkal/mol. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa senyawa gingerol dan shogaol dari Rimpang Jahe Merah (Zingiber Officinale var. rubrum) berpotensi sebagai antiinflamasi.Kata kunci:gingerol; shogaol; antiinflamasi; phospoliphase A2; in silico

Abstract

This study investigated the impact of training and work motivation on employee performance among 78 B&F (Food and Beverage) employees. The data collected was both quantitative and qualitative. A saturated sampling technique was employed, and the results were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 23. The findings indicate that both the Training Variable (X1) and Work Motivation Variable (X2) have significant partial effects on Employee Performance, with t-count values exceeding the t-table value and significance values less than 0.05. Furthermore, the simultaneous effect of both variables on employee performance is also significant, with a t-count value greater than the t-table and a significance value less than 0.05. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that training and work motivation have a significant impact on employee performance among B&F employees.

Abstract

Dana bantuan hibah perlu diukur efektivitasnya apakah dapat meningkatkan kualitas demokrasi dan partisipasi politik. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran efektivitas dana bantuan hibah terhadap kualitas demokrasi dan partisipasi politik dan menganalisis ukuran efektivitas dana bantuan hibah serta bagaimana korelasi antara dana bantuan hibah dengan kualitas demokrasi dan partisipasi politik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah sumber data primer dan data sekunder. Dalam pemilihan informan, peneliti menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dimana informan terpilih adalah orang-orang yang berkecimpung atau terlibat dalam kegiatan pemberian dan penerimaan dana bantuan hibah dan yang menguasai serta memahami tentang kualitas demokrasi dan partisipasi politik. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, triangulasi (teknik, sumber, waktu). Hasil penelitian ini menelaah ukuran efektivitas Dana Bantuan Hibah Terhadap Kualitas Demokrasi dan Partisipasi Politik dengan menggunakan teori ukuran efektivitas dari Duncan (Steers, 1985:53) yang terdiri dari pencapaian tujuan, integritas, dan adaptasi. Untuk menganalisa korelasi antara dana bantuan hibah dengan kualitas demokrasi dan partisipasi politik peneliti berpedoman pada definisi operasional dan hasil penelitian yang dihasilkan bahwa dana bantuan hibah sudah efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas demokrasi dan partisipasi politik. Namun dalam pendistribusian dana hibah, terdapat sejumlah aspek yang perlu dievaluasi dan ditingkatkan.Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, Dana Bantuan Hibah, Kualitas Demokrasi, Partisipasi Politik

Abstract

The implementation of green practices in housekeeping operations is a vital effort to support environmental sustainability in the hospitality industry. This study aims to investigate the application of green practices in the housekeeping operations at Radisson Blu Bali Uluwatu, identify the obstacles faced, and analyze the implications for the environment and surrounding communities. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observations, in-depth interviews with hotel management, and validation through expert interviews. The results show that Radisson Blu Bali Uluwatu has implemented several green practice programs such as linen and towel reuse, the use of environmentally friendly products, waste separation, and energy efficiency. However, several challenges remain, including variations in staff understanding, limited recycling infrastructure, and low guest participation. The implementation of green practices has a positive impact by reducing resource consumption, improving waste management, empowering local SMEs, and strengthening Bali's image as a sustainable tourism destination. This study highlights that the success of green practice initiatives requires continuous support from both internal hotel operations and the surrounding community.

Abstract

Tourism in this era of globalization is developing very rapidly which causes tourism actors to run their business by observing changes in consumers so that they can anticipate changes in consumer behavior, to then be used as material in improving marketing strategies. With the development of technology, Tourism players, especially the hotel industry, will use media distribution channels such as online travel agents as a medium for booking rooms. Data collection techniques used in this study include: documentation studies, interviews, and questionnaires. The data obtained were then analyzed using the IBM SPSS 25 (Statistical Package of Social Science). In obtaining numerical results that are in accordance with the rules, the tests are carried out on the classical assumption test, simple linear regression analysis, and the determination test. Based on the results of research that has been done, found the results that online customer reviews have a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions by 67,3 percent and 32,7 percent is influenced by other variables that not examined in this study. As an effort to improve purchasing decisions, Kaamala Resort Ubud should respond to every negative or positive review that given by consumers. and provide what the hotel promises so that expectations and reality will not be much different and consumers will become more confident to stay at Kaamala Resort Ubud.

Abstract

The increasingly competitive growth of hotels in Gianyar Regency will also impact the competitiveness of its business. To enhance the decision-making process for staying at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali, attention must be paid to several factors that influence guests' decisions to stay. Factors such as Room Price and Service Quality can increase guests' willingness to stay or make repeat purchases. This study aims to determine the influence of room price and service quality on the decision to stay at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali. The population of this study comprises individuals who stayed at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali, in the last month up to March, totaling 1250 people, with a sample size determined using simple random sampling technique amounting to 93 samples. Data collection method involved questionnaires analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The data analysis results show that room price and service quality have a positive and significant influence on the decision to stay. The regression value obtained is F-statistic of 36.852, which is greater than the critical F-value of 2.70. The strength of the relationship between Room Price (X1) and Service Quality (X2) as independent variables in this study with the percentage of Stay Decision as the dependent variable is 0.871. This indicates a very strong and positive relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. The magnitude of the influence of room price and service quality on the decision to stay is 75.8%. Recommendations from the researcher include enhancing room price strategies to compete with nearby hotels. Additionally, management should consider aligning prices with room quality to improve guest stay decisions. For future research, it is suggested to investigate other factors influencing stay decisions such as location, promotions, and advertising.

Abstract

The most popular marketing strategy today is marketing through social media. This research was conducted to determine the effectiveness of Instagram and Facebook Marketing on the consumer's customer path at the Aloft Bali Seminyak Hotel during the Covid-19 Pandemic. Data collection techniques used in this research are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation studies. The number of respondents in this study were 70 people. The data analysis technique in this research is Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis with SmartPLS version 3.3.2 software. The results of this study indicate that based on the R2 test, the net R2 value obtained is 0.523 classified as a moderate (moderate) model, these results explain that Instagram and Facebook marketing that are run are quite effective on the customer path during the Covid-19 Pandemic. The effect of endogenous variables on exogenous variables is known based on the value of effect size (f2), which is 0.376. This shows that the influence of the Instagram variable on the customer path is included in the strong category. Meanwhile, the f2 value of the Facebook variable is 0.250 which shows the effect of the Facebook variable on the customer path, including the sufficient category.
