Abstract

Religious moderation is one of the policies of the Ministry of Religious Affairs which is expected to be implemented through curriculum design in the university, especially in the Semester Learning Plan. UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang one of the campuses that became a pilot project for the implementation of religious moderation policy conducted a baseline study to identify the process of elaboration and internalization as well as to design RPS based on religious moderation. This research uses qualitative methodology with data collection techniques consisting of in-depth interviews, documentation studies, and focus group discussions. The data obtained were then analyzed through a 3-stage interactive model, namely data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of research related to religious moderation-based curriculum management in the process of elaboration and internalization based on the perspective of non-religious course lecturers include: (1) the planning stage in preparing learning outcomes and study materials related to religious moderation both explicitly and implicitly; (2) the implementation stage by designing a learning process related to religious moderation; and (3) the evaluation stage is carried out based on the formula of the lecturer concerned because the implementation of this religious moderation-based curriculum has not been fully implemented.

Abstract

Early childhood education (ECED) plays an important role in forming the basis of children's intellectual, emotional, and social development in the early stages of their lives. In Indonesia, one of the important initiatives in improving the quality of education is the Merdeka Curriculum. This curriculum aims to give teachers the freedom to develop innovative and relevant learning methods. Malang City, as one of the education centers in Indonesia, has also adopted the Merdeka Curriculum in an effort to improve the quality of early childhood education. However, the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum largely depends on the extent to which ECD teachers understand, plan, and implement learning in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. Therefore, educational researchers and practitioners need to conduct an in-depth analysis related to the readiness of ECD teachers to face this curriculum change. This study used a survey research method through questionnaires given to 158 teachers from 70 RA schools in Malang city. The survey results were then analyzed using descriptive statistical methods. Based on the indicators in this study, researchers found that 88% of teachers already have readiness in lesson planning. 81% of teachers already have readiness in learning implementation, and 74.1% of teachers are capable or have readiness in evaluating learning in the Merdeka Curriculum. Teachers understand the Merdeka curriculum but in implementation or implementation and conducting assessments that are not in accordance with the nomenclature of the Merdeka Curriculum, especially for Early Childhood Education Institutions (PAUD). So, there needs to be a Joint Effort between various parties to increase teachers' understanding of the curriculum, obtain support for the integration of values in learning relevant training, and introduce holistic assessment methods.

Abstract

This research aims to develop interactive flipbook media as a learning instrument and introduction to flat shapes for enhancing elementary school students' knowledge.  Using the ADDIE model, learning media are created by analyzing the learning requirements and knowledge of children in relation to the material of flat shapes during the analysis phase. In addition, during the design phase, the structure, content, and interactivity are tailored to the requirements of children. The evaluation stage was conducted by three subject matter experts who assessed seven aspects, of which one was rated as excellent, five as acceptable, and one as requiring improvement; specifically, the aspect of student participation and interaction. This study indicates that interactive flipbook media can be useful for teaching and learning about flat shapes in elementary school. This media can increase children's comprehension, interest, and motivation to learn, and help them make connections between the concepts of flat shapes and their commonplace lives.

Abstract

The development of the internet has provided easier access to information, entertainment, and communication. However, its use among the public has remained unstructured, particularly in supporting educational activities and positive parenting in the digital era. Various cyber risks have emerged, potentially affecting family well-being, especially in densely populated urban areas. This study aimed to describe the role and interaction between parents, families, communities, and local policies in enhancing digital literacy and family cyber resilience. This research employed a qualitative phenomenological approach with 16 respondents. Data were collected through focus group discussions and analyzed using Parson’s System Theory. The data analysis process followed the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding. The validity of the data was tested through source triangulation, comparing FGD findings with in-depth interviews conducted with digital policy experts. The research showed that parents were concerned about their children's internet usage. Efforts to promote digital literacy were continuously carried out through collaboration among families, communities, government, and other stakeholders to strengthen cyber resilience in densely populated environments. The findings of this study could be utilized to support the development of effective empowerment and intervention programs to increase cyber resilience, enhance family welfare, and develop cyber resilience support systems in densely populated settlements.

Abstract

This qualitative research aims to determine the effectiveness of the transition program from early childhood education (PAUD) to elementary school (SD) in Malang, based on six fundamental aspects. Through a survey of teachers and principals, this study explores the model, implementation process, and factors influencing the program's transition. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed to assess the extent to which six basic aspects are included in the transition process. Researchers point out that despite efforts to combine these aspects, challenges such as lack of teacher training, inconsistent implementation, and emphasis on academic achievement still remain. This study highlights the need for a more holistic approach to transition programs that prioritizes social-emotional development, critical thinking, and a love of learning. The recommendations include providing professional development to teachers on six basic aspects, fostering collaboration between PAUD and SD, and involving parents in the transition process.
