Abstract

The heat transfer is important in engineering field and aspects of the life. Many equipment was made by using principles of the heat transfer, like: the oven, iron, the car machine, the muffler, the room cooler et cetera. The principle of the work in the research, there was the heat source at the upper side and the sink (heat remover) at the bottom side so that the temperature different ( was significant) along metal that was tested. The heat source from the electric heater, the object the test togethered with his heater all was isolated. The test object consisted aluminum with 20 mm2 cross section area, the steel and copper have 10 mm2 cross section area. The results that that the conductivity of copper was biggest were followed with aluminum and finally the steel.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu true eksperimental post test only with control group design.

Abstract

Electricity has become an inseparable part of life's necessities along with the rapid development of technology, industry and information. The reduction in fossil energy sources and increasing awareness of preserving the environment requires us to look for alternative energy from renewable energy sources. The use of solar energy as a renewable energy source in NTB has not been widely used. This counseling was carried out at SMKN 1 Selong with the aim of introducing solar energy. Solar energy produced by solar panels is converted into electricity. Electricity is stored by the battery through a charging regulator (SCC). The battery can be used to power AC lights using an inverter. The length of use time depends on the amount of lamp power and battery power. Maintenance carried out regularly: 1. Clean the solar panels from dust or dirt. 2. Check the battery water level. Work safety is highly recommended when carrying out maintenance by turning off the MCB switch while the solar panels are being maintained.

Abstract

The emergence of multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria causes a substantial barrier to treatment, demanding the development of new antibacterial medicines. Myrmecodia pendens (ant nest plant), an indigenous medicinal species, is esteemed for its potential medicinal properties. This study aimed to examine the antibacterial efficacy of M. pendens extracts against MDR bacterial strains (Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Citrobacter freundii, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa) obtained from clinical samples. Extracts were prepared via maceration using ethanol, chloroform, and n-hexane solvents. Antibacterial efficacy was evaluated using the agar diffusion method, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC), and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) assays. The ethanol solvent extract exhibited the most significant antibacterial activity, particularly against P. aeruginosa, with an inhibition zone of 23.15 ± 0.21 mm at 100 mg/mL. The MIC and MBC values were 3.13 mg/mL and 12.5 mg/mL, respectively. The chloroform and n-hexane extracts showed lower, but comparable, inhibitory effects against the tested strains. These findings provide compelling evidence that M. pendens extracts, especially the ethanol extracts, represent a promising source for developing alternative antibacterial agents to combat MDR infections.
