Abstract

Technology has become part of a strategy to improve the quality of learning, including in elementary schools. However, the specific influence on student learning activity still needs to be proven empirically. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of Wordwall integration in learning to encourage increased student learning activity by comparing student learning activities that integrate Wordwall with conventional learning. This study uses a quasi-experimental design in the form of a posttest-only control design. The population in this study were all students of 4th grade SDN 3 Parepare, as many as 108 people, while the sample used was class 4.1 as an experimental class with 37 students and 4.2 as a control class with 36 students. The treatment given to the experimental class was to integrate Wordwall during the learning process from the beginning to the end of learning. The research data were obtained from the posttest of the observation results of learning activity by observers in the experimental and control classes. The data analysis technique was the Independent Sample T-test. The result is that students in classes that integrate Wordwall into their learning have better learning activities. The inferential statistical analysis results showed Sig (2-tailed) = 0.00 <0.05, so H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Thus, this study concludes that there is a difference in learning activity between students taught with the integration of Wordwall game media and students taught with conventional media. Wordwall integration into learning can effectively encourage learning activity. Future researchers can examine more in-depth aspects related to the use of Wordwalls in elementary school learning, such as cognitive aspects, challenges and barriers.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan dalam permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimanakah dengan pendekatan active learning pada perkalian bilangan cacah dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas IV UPTD SDN 78 Parepare?“Apakah dengan pendekatan active learning pada perkalian bilangan cacah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV UPTD SDN 78 Parepare? Tujuan yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini adalah Untuk mengetahui pendekatan active learning pada perkalian bilangan cacah dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa kelas IV UPTD SDN 78 Parepare. Dari hasil belajar siswa tentang perkalian bilangan cacah dalam menerapkan pendekatan active learning di kelas IV UPTD SDN 78 Parepare, adalah untuk mendeskripsikan aktifitas siswa dan guru dalam pelaksanaan tindakan pembelajaran. Jenis penelitiannya adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (classroom action research) atau PTK meliputi tahapan-tahapan pelaksanaan meliputi: perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, obsrvasi, dan refleksi secara berulang. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan selama dua siklus dengan penerapan pendekatan active learning dalam pembelajaran guna meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Paa siklus pertama belum tercapai pembelajaran maka dilanjutkan pada siklus berikutnya. Pada siklus ke dua sudah terselesaikan dengan baik, maka penelitian dinyatakan berhasil pada siklus ke dua dan penelitian dihentikan.Kata kunci: active learning, perkalian bilangan cacah

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar peserta didik melalui media pembelajaran Smart Box pada pelajaran pendidikan Pancasila tentang Pancasila dalam diri siswa kelas IV UPTD SD Negeri 12 Parepare. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah 1 orang guru dari 29 peserta didik kelas IV. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, angket, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian adalah lembar observasi, angket motivasi belajar dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus dilaksanakan dengan dua kali pertemuan dengan empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Pada siklus I belum terjadi peningkatan motivasi belajar yang signifikan, hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil presentasi angket motivasi belajar peserta didik yang belum mencapai 76% ketuntasan kelas. Pada siklus II motivasi belajar peserta didik mengalami peningkatan dimana 76% peserta didik telah berada pada kategori sangat baik sesuai dengan tingkat keberhasilan motivasi belajar yang telah ditetapkan. Kesimpulannya adalah dengan penerapan media pembelajaran Smart Box dapat meningkatkan proses pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar siswa tentang Pancasila pada mata pelajaran saya di kelas IV UPTD SD Negeri 12 Parepare.

Abstract

The learning community in Indonesia is snowballing among teachers. The problem is that only a few teacher-learning communities are consistence and intense in carrying out teacher-learning activities. This study aims to investigate how the learning conditions in online-based teacher-learning communities in Indonesia consistently carry out teacher-learning activities. The research design uses a qualitative approach with the case study method, and the research framework uses a qualitative e-research framework. Various data were obtained through interviews with eight teachers, documentation studies, and observation of teacher learning activities through online-based teacher-learning communities. The results show that some management of learning conditions is required to organize professional learning for teachers through online-based teacher-learning communities. Namely: 1) learning activities are inclusive and sustainable; 2) the characteristics of the learning participants are individuals who have a high initiative to re-learn; 2) the characteristics of learning topics according to the needs and problems of teachers; 3) the characteristics of the speakers are from the teachers themselves (fellow teachers); 4) learning objectives are focused on improving teachers' teaching practice skills; and 5) there is a mapping of learning barriers that are managed during the learning process.

Abstract

Although Civic Education learning has received increasing attention in previous studies, research specifically examining the relationship between students’ perceptions of Civic Education learning and their nationalism attitudes remains limited, particularly among PGSD students in Parepare. This study aims to analyze the relationship between students’ perceptions of Civic Education learning and their nationalism attitudes. A quantitative approach with a survey design was employed, involving 120 respondents selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis. The findings indicate that students’ perceptions of Civic Education learning were in the good category (M = 3.87), while their nationalism attitudes were categorized as high (M = 4.12). The correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between students’ perceptions and nationalism attitudes (r = 0.68, p < .05). These results suggest that positive perceptions of Civic Education learning are associated with stronger nationalism attitudes among students. This study contributes to the theoretical development of civic education and nationalism studies by expanding understanding of how instructional perceptions relate to students’ civic attitudes in higher education contexts. Practically, the findings imply that educators should adopt innovative, contextual, and value-based teaching strategies to strengthen the effectiveness of Civic Education learning and support the development of nationalism attitudes.

Abstract

Self-development–based workshops are considered an effective strategy to enhance teachers’ motivation and performance at the elementary school level. This community service program aimed to improve both intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of teachers and to strengthen their professional commitment in implementing quality learning practices in Barru Regency. The identified problems included low work motivation, limited professional self-reflection, and suboptimal teacher performance in lesson planning and instructional implementation. The program employed a participatory approach consisting of needs assessment, material presentation, self-reflection sessions, group discussions, simulations, and evaluation. A total of 35 elementary school teachers from several schools in Barru Regency participated in the workshop. The results indicated an increase in teachers’ understanding of continuous self-development, improved work motivation, and positive changes in attitudes toward enhancing instructional quality. Evaluation through questionnaires and observations showed an improvement in motivation scores and teacher performance indicators after the workshop. The program contributed positively to strengthening professional awareness and fostering a more productive work culture within schools. In conclusion, self-development–based workshops are effective in improving the motivation and performance of elementary school teachers in Barru Regency. It is recommended that such programs be implemented continuously as part of local teacher professional development strategies.

Abstract

Melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make A Match pada mata pelajaran kelas III UPTD SD Negeri 3 Parepare. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas tahapan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah guru kelas dan 32 peserta didik kelas III. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui kondensasi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan terhadap keaktifan belajar siswa dari siklus I hingga siklus II. Pada siklus I, keaktifan belajar berada pada kategori sedang, sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat ke kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make A Match efektif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila.
